I personally would not complain about the low price of the Sratis at the moment. Quite the contrary, I welcome it.
It gives me more time to buy into it. I've already managed to gather respectful amount of Strats, but I wouldn't mind if these kind of buying opportunities keep on coming in the near future Smiley

Eventually, the price of Strat will increase heavily, so we are living the investment era at the moment. And I like it Smiley

Yep, I see it the same way. People want prices to go up right after they bought in, that's comprehensible, but not really logical nor expectable Wink

And often not even desirable. Because, very few of us can invest big figures in one go. It's much more common for ordinary Joe, like me, to invest small sums maybe once or twice in a month, and slowly build it up. I managed to do it, and I believe there are many others who did as well.

Guys i think we need to do more marketing to get stratis more public
Everyone needs to know about it  Smiley

Reddit group is steadily growing, so I guess it's just a matter of time when it happens. Also being on top ten in coinmarketcap helps.
On the roadmap, there's a mention about marketing in the 4th quarter, so by then Stratis would not be a sleeper anymore.

out of topic but WORTH READ.....

The Reasonable Formation of

strategy to protect yourself from their inevitability.

I would personally recommend a more comprehensive course of economics and various aspect of it, especially if the subject is a bit hazy - as it often is for persons who haven't studied it before. The video course below gives an broad overview to the subject as a whole. It covers pretty much everything what's important in economics - not just bubbles, but everything else as well. Most importantly, it teaches people how to think like an economist. It's a very important skill, which can be applied - not only to economics - but in general. That skill gives an insight into human behaviour - why people do the things they do, what drives them, what are the incentives, what is 'rational' vs 'irrational' behaviour - and what is the definition of them (and that is something which I'm absolutely sure 99.9999% of the people don't know what is the difference between 'rational' and 'irrational' - they might think they do, but they really, really don't) etc.

It really opens your eyes. So, it's highly recommended.

Yes its a bad timing, but fundamental will always catchup eventually after all the btc drama Smiley
At the moment stratis might be the #1 coin of choice with smart contract and sidechains.

#1 in what ways? its just all hype right now or always has been. i read all the good stuff that stratis offers and the roadmap and blah blah blah  and then ppl bragging about it everywhere  but who is actually using stratis platform or technology??

Stratis is under development at this point. That's why the price is low. But we are able to see the huge future potential. I feel sorry for you if you really are as unimaginative and cynical as you want us to think. But you cannot be. Nobody is that unimaginative. Smiley

Thanks and Iam happy for you . I didnt even mention the TVE bounty I have participated at during the ICO period . Stratis dev team has been so generous all this time.   Honestly to be as effective I had sold some stratis back in the days where I struggled to keep up with crypto currencies .

Nevertheless, you've made a heck of a profit (I guess), with a very small investment. So not too shabby Smiley

Price now is rediculous!
its like the when the early bitcoiners were buying bitcoins for $5. I think its the same situation for stratis.

My words exactly Smiley

I could not agree more.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: July 28, 2017, 01:46:51 PM

IMO, 10$ USD is the limit at this point.

I'm buying at this very moment, because these prices (~4$) are simply preposterous Smiley

After last round, it's not gonna get much cheaper.

This is definitely a wiser approach. That is what exactly on my mind regarding the low point stratis is getting. This is indeed a last chance to have stratis so low.

I have to congratulate you, for buying in early - and being wise. Twenty bucks for 3000 Strats would be an absolute dream now!
I'm sure I would have done the same, if only I had knew about the Stratis back then - but I didn't. I didn't even knew such concept existed, until about month and a half ago. And when I finally spotted Stratis (read the whitepaper, did my homework etc) - well let's just say - I've been buying ever since Smiley

Especially, when the prices are this low Smiley

I just hope the price will stay this low - for just couple more hours - couple more hours, please.

then I'm happy Smiley

In my opinion that is too expensive for an entry level. Tell you what instead that amount you have corrected  I think that is way too far. Come on be realistic. That is $50 !!! Nobody would enter as a noob or even seasoned trader with that amount.

IMO, 10$ USD is the limit at this point.

I tried to read the white paper and as per my understanding i can create application on top of stratis using stratis as fuel? I can even create another stratis like application to issue tokens just like stratis? Is this true? Wow this is really great if this is true.

Yep, pretty much. Stratis is a BaaS platform.

Hmm...

I wonder if this:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/worlds-largest-bitcoin-tumbling-service-announces-sudden-shutdown

has something to do with this:

I wouldn't be surprised. It's almost too strange to be a pure coincidence.

while testing STRAT for compatibility with barterDEX, atomic cross chain swaps, we noticed that it doesnt have the gettxout RPC call.

This is quite important to have to be able to efficiently tell if an outpoint (txid/vout) has been spent or not.

Is there an alternate way to obtain this information for an arbitrary (most likely not ismine in wallet) outpoints? If not, gettxout support wont require a hardfork to support as it is just an information call about the existing blockchain and the internal datastructures already have all the info needed to return gettxout.

I would definitely like to add STRAT to barterDEX.

For business related technical issues and / or questions, you should contact Stratis Dev team directly via:

good thing that stratis is finally rising in price again with bitcoin returning to a higher price, the btc dump really hurt the price before.
i really like this coin and hope that it'll get bigger than ethereum

Oh, it will Smiley

If we compare the benefits of Stratis against Ethereum, the picture comes out pretty clear.

Ethereum is stiff and monolithic, built - well basically - for one primary purpose:
Ethereum is a smart contract platform, which have been used for ICO's - and quite often with disastrous consequences.
Ethereum uses obscure coding language, which hardly anyone has ever heard, so that doesn't make things any easier.

Stratis is hugely more versatile. It's a whole BaaS solution, with flexibility to adapt all kind of business needs.

If Ethereum is a hammer, then Stratis is a whole workshop.

Poloniex ask side is 380 bitcoins.  Thats all the way down to 0.0012 where the fake buy wall resides.

Poloniex is the biggest exchange in...you know where?
That's right - In the USA.

Do you know what time it is in USA?
Right. Indeed, it's night. (4:00am in LA and 7:00am in NY)

And still at the very moment STRAT is the 4th most traded crypto in their list.

That's the statistic what actually matters.

Dude, it doesnt matter if poloniex is usa based or not, as it does not accept fiat and only trades in bitcoi, people from all over the world trade there. Unless you show me statistics that volume in poloniex is significantly higher during the day time in USA. Also, market manipulation when you buy and sell in your own walls, that generates the volume. What it matters, that the actual order book is week.

I don't usually reply to people who call me 'dude'. Calling people 'dude' is a sign of immaturity, and I have no time for juvenile debates.

But since you've missed my actual point, I say it again: STRAT is the 4th most traded crypto in Poloniex at the moment. It will soon be 3rd most traded one.
