HELP!

My wires are overheated!

If you use Afterburner, set power target to 70%

No, I don't. I use Clay command line options. Does anybody have such a problem?

HELP!

My wires are overheated!

Using 430.86 Nvidia drivers with 14.6 Clay and -powlim -30 option I've got "gpu 0 nvidia powlim set failed" message in the log file. Energy consumption is above 150 watts (asus 1078).

With previous drivers version it was about 109-115 watts. WTF?

On my asrock h110, win10 home, 8x rx580 nitro+ 8gb I am running the following config for 14.6

cclock 1150, mclock 2200, cvddc 850 mvddc 875 rxboost 1

The above works correctly and go from 30.5mh to 31.5mh

Trying the straps 0,1...7 @2200 just crashes the rig

They are all hynix except 1 is micron

Any suggestions on what to try to stop the crashing?

I.tried just strap 1,with the same crashing

Try 2000 mem and work your way up to something stable?

I can try that - it  dies before any mining though - The rxboost without strap is stable

I have the same issue on similar hardware config on Clay 14.6 (asrock h110 with 13 AMD RX 588 Nitro+). The rig freezes on setting strap for second GPU in the list (index 01). Other rigs are fine.

as for me win10pro 1709 & Adrenalin 18.5.1 (NOT 18.5.2) & Clay 11.8 works quite stable with 13 AMD RX588 GPUs
1st you can't run 13gpu on wins pro etc max 12gpu which means your running Linux version of this miner ex: Simplemining or ethOS.

Were there any perfomance upgrades in v11.8 since v11.5? is it worth upgrading?
I've had better performance with 11.5 than any other after that. I use rx580s, and the only performance I check is eth payouts.
You should take network's difficulty into consideration, not just miner perfomance. What about hashrate|sharerate of your rx?

Has anyone tried dualmining on 1080ti with ethlargement pill?

Does this pill increase share count, not hash rate?

Does anyone has challenged with asrock h110 pro btc?

Hey, was this rig ever stable?
To put it another way, is this a new issue, and previously this rig was stable?

One thing I wanted to post on, PSUs, deserves it's own post, so check back in 30 min, I'll write it up now.
Good luck btw.

Yes, it was stable with 10 AMD RX. Now it's working for 14 hours. But yesterday there were 3 sudden reboots in one hour
...

Of course, given payback time mining, it WAS worth it, but one can only say that with hindsight, and I've actually settled on 8GPU as a max per rig, (with 1000W PSUs), simply because I can build that up to super stable in half a day, and have a pretty high certainty it will be mining after 5 hours, and at what hash rate.

The problem is, with more and more GPU per rig, down time REALLY starts to hurt more and more.
Even rebooting a 13GPU rig, that is 13 GPU doing nothing.

...

+100500! Even starttime for 13 GPUs is terrible:)

Thx a lot and good luck to you.

I have one config on

0. Win10Pro 1709
1. Clay 11.7
2. AMD 18.3.4
3. 13 AMD RX 580 8 GB
4. 8 gb RAM
5. 80 gb virtual memory
6. 3 PSU Corsair HX1000

It can mine for hours and reboots twice in a minutes.

Hi, @Claymore.

I've a feature request: is it possible to implement hardware monitor feature in your miner? Such as counting Memory Errors on GPUs?

as much as you can afford

@Claymore, do you know about stability problems at mining configs with more than 12 AMD GPUs? I have one based on Astock pro btc+ and 13 sapphire rx 580 nitro+. It can mine for hours without any problems, and after it can restart/freeze/report OpenCL errors (can’t create dag file at startup, hangs up and so on).

I saw, that AMD writes about problems in their AMD Adrenalin 18.3.4, but wtf??? What do you think?

Thx Claymore, how can we run start.bat in admin mode? it try to find it in system32

It's a good idea to move all options to "config.txt" file and start miner directly instead.

@Claymore here is my start.bat:

shutdown /a
shutdown /r /t 129600 /f /c "Reboot from miner."
timeout 10

set ETHPOOL=-epool eu1.ethermine.org:14444 -ewal %ETHWAL%.%COMPUTERNAME% -epsw x
set ETCPOOL=-epool ssl://eu1-etc.ethermine.org:5555 -ewal %ETCWAL%.%COMPUTERNAME% -epsw x
set DCR=-dcri 25 -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal iRrromka.%COMPUTERNAME% -dpsw x
set SYSPARAM=-gser 2 -r 1 -dbg -1 -mport 0 -mvddc 900 -cvddc 875 -tt 73 -ttdcr 78 -ttli 86 -tstop 90

if "%COMPUTERNAME%" == "MINE0" (EthDcrMiner64.exe -minspeed 172 -powlim 50 -cclock 1145 -mclock 1980 %SYSPARAM% %ETCPOOL%)

How can I do like this via config.txt if I have near 10 rigs? I use OneDrive to store miner directory so config.txt will be the same for all of my rigs.

Agreed Smiley
But in this case original question "how can I start .bat file as admin" is related to Windows OS, not to miner, is not it? And it's a good idea to google the answer.

To run miner under Windows in Admin mode it's enough to check "Run in admin mode" in EthDcrMiner64.exe file properties, compatibility tab

I think, it will be useful to add a scheduler to reboot the rig (exec the reboot.bat), not miner in "-r" option. For example -r -180 - to execute reboot.bat if something wrong with gpus and to restart miner every 180 mins.
rtfm ) -r option already DOES work as you described: -r 180 reboots in case of gpu fail OR in 180 minutes

RuMiner means "Russian" miner?

Read this manual more attentively. "Restart miner" not equal "Execute reboot.bat". I need to reboot my rig, not miner, every hour, for example

If you're using windows, use the taskscheduler to run specific batch file or exe file then create scripts that command your Computer to restart.

agree...

after all, I've used "shutdown" command from file "reboot.bat" (there is an example in readme.txt) with 10800 sec. delay in my case. I've inserted this command in my start.bat, which one is in autostart folder.

but option in miner would be more comfortable

Hi, Claymore!

I think, it will be useful to add a scheduler to reboot the rig (exec the reboot.bat), not miner in "-r" option. For example -r -180 - to execute reboot.bat if something wrong with gpus and to restart miner every 180 mins.

Or just to add one another option for calling reboot.bat.

I got some usb watchdog dongles from Aliexpress. They have an associated program and watch the miner and the gpus. If the miner, computer or a gpu stops working the dongle will reboot the computer. I have not installed them yet but on a test bench they checked out okay. Just search Aliexpress or eBay for "usb watchdog."

I'm using USB WatchDogs, however I need to reboot the rig even if all it's ok every hour, for example. I believe it would increase my share count.
