Just weird but the estimated mining reward drop by at least 50% compared last month. Do you experience the same? Is it correlated to Eth 2.0?

Increase in difficulty results in less rewards.

True, May was the peak with 8.x P hashrate and we manage to mine double digit ETH. June is 7.x P, comparatively less from last month but the estimated earning cutdown to half from last month.

Using PhoenixMiner 5.2a version with parameters  -daglim 1 and -dagrestart 1.

Windows 10 Pro
1pc RX580 8GB in primary pcie
6pc RX570 4GB ELLESMERE (SAMSUNG)
4GB RAM
GPU Driver Adrenalin 2019 19.75

The 4GB mine at 1/mhs. Will the GPU still able to mine at 2x/mhs ?

Hello

I want to configure a computer with linux, for my 4GB gpus (as long as they last) I have tried it with ubuntu 20.04.1 lts (the newest), I installed official drivers, the newest, but the miner does not even start xDD

In the end I used a pendrive with simplemining and it works, but I would like to have access to my own platform, as I have always done with windows.

Could someone give me some tips on what linux to use? And what drivers, I would be very grateful.

The truth is that linux I have used little, it has usually been in virtual machines to test the distribution and it is the first time that I face a serious installation and I am lost.

best regards!!! : )

Have you tried the good drivers from page 1.

Good drivers. These are versions from 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), and from 19.12.2 to 20.8.1 (inclusive). These will allow you to mine until DAG epoch 372-373 and won't need restart of PhoenixMiner on each DAG epoch change.

+1 would appreciate if someone share their setup

Hi PM devs,

GPU 1 is not hashing from version 5.0 to 5.1

8 * XFX RX580 OC, Win 7 Pro  , 8GB RAM

Config is the following
default

MSI AB settings:
CV: +0
PL: 70
CC: 1150
MC: 2045

Driver version: 18.3.4

2020.10.02:06:21:50.064: main Eth speed: 209.765 MH/s, shares: 5/0/0, time: 0:01
2020.10.02:06:21:50.064: main GPUs: 1: 0.922 MH/s (0) 2: 30.010 MH/s (2) 3: 29.380 MH/s (1) 4: 30.025 MH/s (0) 5: 30.038 MH/s (1) 6: 29.923 MH/s (1) 7: 30.025 MH/s (0) 8: 29.442 MH/s (0)

Could be any number of things, bad card, bad riser, bad monitor connection. Try ruling those out one by one and see if you can get GPU 1 to hash.

I tried to switch the other GPU to primary PCIE it turns out all GPU on that port drop the hash to 1.x or 0. The GPU setting originally in primary PCIE hash 30.x when plug to other port.

if its not raiser/connector maybe you can play main pcie slot settings.
but first do ddu several times and also see if you dont have any hidden monitors in device manager and delete if any

also avoid using AB it can cause various issues. (try to remove it too) use OverdrivenTool instead(or just set volts and frequencies in the miner config.

also your driver version is bad use at least 18.6.1 or better 19.12.2 (mind the new fan control!)

...also if you can run 2045 you can probably achieve about 31.5 on your gpus:

the rest are 570 sapphire nitros

This is insightful but no clue what is hidden monitors and 18.3.4 driver version is that bad.

My AB settings :
-----------------------------
Core Voltage (mV): -100
Power Limit : 0
Core Clock: 1150
Memory Clock 2050

Will be same as -cvddc  -100 -powlim 0 -cclock 1150 -mclock 2050 in the command line right? Apparently the miner terminate prematurely.
Been using the above parameters to hit 30.xMhs but will be happy to know other best settings.

Pag solar panel run a math since may idea ka na sa consumption. Sa solar agent naman usually  kuhanin nila power requirements and mag propose ng option like 12hr or 24hr power on, with/without battery, panel quality etc.

Salamat

Hetzner-CX11 vps hosting gamit ko 5$/mos - zen-securenode.  Naghahanap din ako magandang coin baka meron ma-recommend ibang member dito.
10  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy Proof of Stake (PoS) mining on: December 10, 2018, 06:16:08 AM
Check this site baka maka tulong sayo.

The more na delay ma fix ang error the more mababawasan kita.

So far sa horizen maganda service.

Anong coin kaya? Salamat.

Nasa horizen secure node mining din ako. Baka meron pa dito ibang PoS miner pa exchange sana info like ROI, hosting etc.
12  Local / Pilipinas / Re: What will happen after all Bitcoins are fully mined? on: December 09, 2018, 01:18:23 PM

Pero kong mataas man syempre lahat tayo masaya. Pag na max out na supply madidivert tayo sa Proof of stake (PoS) eg horizen, neo etc.

Si PoS naman new breed of miners/validator usually by VPS+stake coins at kunting know-how mag run ng linux command.

Congratz sa OP.

Agree ko dyan may sari-sarili tayong storya sa bitcoin mabuti man or masama Smiley.

Interesting yong bounty hunter. Anong link pwede mag start?

Salamat

Any luck? I need to translate -96mv from AB to claymore command string too.

I am using a modded BIOS and have core voltage = -43mv in afterburner
I want to use Claymore for controlling this and wish to use -cvddc
However I am unsure how to translate the -43mv in AB to claymore- since there are differing voltages at different core clock in the bios whereas in claymore only one voltage is entered.

My bios voltages are as below

MHZ   mV
300   750
588   850
900   850
950   840
980   850
1000   860
1050   870
1100   890
1150   900

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.4 (Windows/Linux) on: March 13, 2018, 08:59:22 AM
Agree. However I have doubt what value to enter in command line for AB mv -96?

Test going on my lab using RX580 8GB - AMD radeon live latest driver but it seems AB 4.4 beta does not allow me to modify settings. I need to run OC settings through command line but not sure how to interpret setting from AB to claymore command string.

AB settings:
core voltage (mV): -96
Power limit: -30
Temperature: 60
Core Clock: 1150
Memory clock: 2100

Something like -

-cvddc ? -mvddc ? -powlimit -30 -tt 60 -cclock 1150 -mclock 2100

correct, for example this is my config

Code:
-epool %DEFAULT_POOL2%
-ewal %WALLET%.%WORKER%
-epsw x
-mode 1
-tt 2
-asm 1
-dcri 3
#-di 0123456
#       GPU0,GPU1,GPU2,GPU3,GPU4,GPU5,GPU6
-cclock 1200,1200,1200,1140,1190,1200,1200
-mclock 2200,2200,2200,2150,2190,2200,2200
-cvddc   875, 875, 850, 900, 875, 850, 850
-mvddc   875, 875, 850, 900, 875, 850, 850
-r 1
-mport -3333
-mpsw

#original gpu setting
#-cclock 1200
#-mclock 2200
#-cvddc  1000
#-mvddc  1000

#cclock = gpu core clock speed (stability --> shouldn't be increased if undervoltaged)
#mclock = gpu memory clock speed (creates hashpower / incorrect shares)
#cvddc  = gpu core voltage
#mvddc  = gpu memory voltage

Done some googling related to reported and effective hashrate reports in ethermine pool. The conclusion still clouded with network, fees and luck factor. At the end its not convincing. in my case a difference of 200mh/s againts reported hashrate over effective average hashrate is just off the chart. is this normal?

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a Ethereum farm and need Rx 570 and 580 gpus on: October 24, 2017, 08:38:07 AM
I am on the way to build a small farm with 500 gpus, my selects are RX 570 and RX 580 with the total is 500 gpus. But I dont know where to buyvit in the USA. Could you help me to find a supply?

I've got a 300 GPU farm up and running in the last few months after having delays in getting GPUs due to the global shortages in May/June/July.  The only thing I can suggest is to keep trying as the supply problem seems to be improving - in Europe at least.

A word of advice though - if you are building the farm yourself, 500 GPUs generates a huge amount of heat and use of electric and unless you plan it properly you will end up with miners overheating with the temperatures.  As an example, inside my farm normally has air temperature about 36C/97F with GPUs running about 70C.  On a hot sunny day, I've had air temperatures close to 50C/122F and initially ended up with electric circuits tripping..  Although I've solved that problem now with extended cooling.

Planning to build XFX RX570, will 1000w PSU Bronze can support 8 RX570?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: October 03, 2017, 03:49:01 PM
With 4pcs XFX RX580 8GB mod bios, 1000w psu my rig shutdown after a minute when dual mine with decred.

Claymore version: latest
Environment variable: 16000 and try 24000
Win10 64x

BAT file command string:
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal myethwallet.worker100 -epsw x -r 1 -gser 2 -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal mydcrwallet.worker -dpsw 12345

Are you undervolting? Dual mining with these cards with no undervolt would pull about 700-750w just for the GPU's alone. If you undervolt you should able to reduce that to 500. I am not sure if you are as  do not see the settings in your Claymore. but perhaps you are using AB

My AB v4.4 Beta settings works perfectly stable:
Power: 0
Temp: 90
Core: 1165
Memory: 2165
Fan: Auto

Power consumption: 117w Max
Can you suggest AB undervolt settings that will work with DCR dual mining. TIA.

I have the following in my start.bat to undervolt my 570's and 580's  -cvddc 900,900,925,925 -mvddc 900,900,900,900   -cclock 1175,1175,1275,1275 -mclock 2050,2100,2050,2050

I have one 570 that can get 2100+ the rest 570's and 580's are only stable at 2050. for cvddc I put as low as I can get stable and above is what I was able to achieve may be different for you. The cvddc above will drastically lower your cards power consumption. Also I use Claymore to clock my cards as I find it is more stable then AB for some reason I am using Claymore 10. but note I am not using Beta drivers as my rigs run Windows 7 and beta does not work with Claymore on Windows 7. I mine Alt Ethash coins currently getting 29.3 with 1 570, the other at 2100 gets me 30, the 2 580's get me 29.95 at 2050 wish i could push the memory more on those but they crash the amd driver if I do.

Will definitely try your clock settings. My claymore settings should look like this -cvddc 925 -mvddc 900  -cclock 1275 -mclock 2050, right?

One thing, is it required to reset clocks in AB when clocking through Claymore?
