1  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: February 03, 2014, 12:10:56 AM
I just noticed the "overpay" e-mail.  I'm happy to pay back the extra, but I didn't get divs this week and my overpay amount was roughly 1 additional weeks worth.  At this point should I just wait it out?

Thanks!

What this moron needs to do is refund unspent BTC and call it a day.
fuck a refund, I want to see whoever involved BURN... crucify this pick and his family... sorry but that's the way I feel

I vote refund

Seriously - you keep most people quiet by simply paying divs like you said you would.

While it bothers me that there's no dialogue with labcoin at all, all you have to do is pay your dividends and I'm relatively happy.

There was also 13 from yesterday that never went out.

Now that I think about it more, there may be some privacy concerns.

There's at least a bit of mystery when you look at a wallet and wonder where the coins went.  Would such a link give outside parties the ability to easily figure out that BTC went to your site?
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinSports.eu - Bitcoin Sportsbook - PLAY or INVEST - No Registration! on: October 27, 2013, 05:09:51 PM
Sometimes I'm stupid and I lose the bet link, but I can always find the wallet I sent payment to.  If there's a 1 to 1 relationship between the bet wallet and bet id, it would be cool if you could interchange the wallet address and bet id in the URL.

For example, these two links would go to the same place:

anyone that is thinking about buying one of these, they are awesome. Mrteal and Chipgeek are terrific to deal .

I couldn't agree more.  Everything from the customer service to the product itself is fantastic.  The pictures really don't do a good job of showing just how high quality these boards are.

Is there an easy way to update to the latest cgminer that I just can't find?

Another Labcoin puppet? Stop posting valid questions.

Not a puppet, just tired of seeing the same shit over and over.  Refer to Einstein's definition of insanity

If you don't care about that and only plan to mount it once, you can just use a 6-32 1.5" screw and nut to hold the heatsink down. You can still even use the spring if you want. They're just a more of a PITA to install that way, especially if you take them on or off.

I just did this particular install 4 times (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO) and it's pretty difficult but stable.  Here's a few tips:

  • It's easy to remove the fan from the heatsink, so make sure you do that.
  • I used 6-32 2.0" screws instead.  They were more readily available at Home Depot and ended up making nice feet.
  • I found it easier to place the heatsink upside down on a flat surface, then I wedged some needle nose pliers between the heatsink and the "X" apparatus to hold it in place.  Then Chili (with TIM) and backplate.
  • I inserted the 4 screws form the bottom and attached 4 nuts finger tight.  This will be enough to hold the "X" in place and allow you to turn it right side up and tighten the screws.
  • I re-used the thicker of the two springs on the 2" screw.  The smaller thinner spring didn't really have a use.
  • You can remove the springs by using wire cutters on the small black circle that holds the two springs on the screws that came with the EVO.
  • Muscle memory will not allow me to type "spring" without typing "string" first.

so you can put it back on later when you move the HS to your new 50PH/s Intel ASIC machine in early 2015 when BTC hits USD$5000.

Haha

I think I'm just going to go with the more permanent route since that means I can just go to Home Depot.

So when these bad boys ship are you going to provide tracking or is that too difficult?

Thanks again!  This is exciting.

How's testing going?  Any final numbers on hash rate per 8-chip chili?  Any bad boards or chips?

I applaud LR's efforts, i would like to see a little bit more transparency, but so far Im impressed on how hes handled things...

It's actually refreshing.  Some of my other securities have trained me to expect little to no communication.

I'm working on a proxy to scoop up more while I still can at this price.

Thanks!  I'm in Texas, so that's great news for me.

I was looking over the thermal pads on FrozenCPU and I noticed there are pads that are rated 17.0 W/mK vs 11 W/mK.  I assume they are better, but I don't really have any experience with thermal pads.  Anybody have any thoughts?

Also, what CPU fans are you guys going with?

Last question - will I need to round up USB cables?

Great to hear that Friday is the goal date.  Where are they being assembled/tested/shipped from?

(and one question: what is your payment threshold? do i understand it right - if i am under it, i'll never get them - for example added to next divs?)

I'd like an answer for this too.
