It seems a lot of the cheerleaders here owe people apologies.  But more important, hopefully they learned some lessons about incessant cheerleading and simply trusting developers without tangible evidence.

People are still buying and selling a dead token?

To clarify, it seems team has stopped communicating for the most part, but they are still posting on Instagram?  This makes no sense.

What has happened to this project and communication?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: January 07, 2018, 02:28:55 PM
I am trying to set up a VPS Windows Masternode, and followed all the instructions in the Guide.  I have 1000 VIVO in the MN address (50+ confirmations), and have updated the wallet configuration file. However, when I go to start the MN, I get the following error:

"Not capable masternode: Masternode not in Masternode list".

That seems to be true - when I look at the Masternodes tab, my Masternode's IP is not there.  Any ideas how to fix that?

On a side note, sometimesif time I start the wallet again and put in the "getaccountaddress 0" debug command, it will randomly generate a new address. I don't know if that affects the MN Private Key address or not? (the old address still exists)
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][BKB] BetKing Bankroll Token - Tokens distributed to your account on: December 06, 2017, 03:45:05 PM
What I remember is investing in a bankroll of a cryptocurrency casino.
It’s profit increased for 12 million $, and no where was it stated that the casino was going to sell crypto for FIAT and let people gamble in FIAT instead of crypto (which would assume you have nothing to do with crypto anymore), so please explain to me how the hell does your bankroll increase for 12 million $ (trifold) and you still get the same FIAT amount as when you invested when your assets are valued in FIAT and not in crypto.

The way it was done seems to have been specified and clarified up front, so on one hand, there was nothing illicit or inappropriate about it (I was not involved in the ICO, but I assume the info on the ICO screen describing the process was available).

On the other hand, the way it was done, there was literally no reason for anyone to invest in the IPO.  The money you put in was converted to FIAT and then held for you in FIAT where you can only redeem at it at 10% per quarter.   You get the benefit of casino profit, but you could get that by simply buying BKB after the fact. Since exchanges will always have it at a discount, buying BKB in the exchange would always be done at a better price than buying through the IPO, under any circumstance.  In fact, lots of people investing in the IPO actually *lowers* the return-on-investment because a larger portion of the value of BKB is the original $0.092 that can has a rate of return of 0%.

If only 10% as many people would have invested, BKB would have started at $0.0096, but had the same absolute increase in value from casino profits, meaning 10x the percentage return.

I think it either *should* have been set up the way you describe (invested in the full bankroll) or there was no real reason for anyone to invest in the ICO. If you wanted, say, $1000 ownership in the casino, you'd have been better off buying it in an exchange at a discounted price.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][BKB] BetKing Bankroll Token - Tokens distributed to your account on: December 04, 2017, 03:32:24 PM
Bankroll was valued at 6.5 million.
Bankroll is valued at 18.5 million.
Bankroll profit is 12 million.

The site explains the process - it's profit from *bankrolled games*. It even specifies types of games (Poker) that don't count.

There's nothing wrong or unethical about the way it's calculated - it was all made clear up front.  But interestingly, he basically bet the viability of the casino on the price of BTC.  If BTC crashed after the ICO, the token would have skyrocketed in value in BTC and he'd likely have been at risk of collapse if he paid out all the BKB holders over time.  As is, he likely made a huge profit off the value of BTC over the last several months. This all assumes he kept the bankroll received in crypto.  If he switched it to USD, he'd have eliminated the risk/profits from BTC change, but also have a much smaller bankroll backstoppping the casino right now.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][BKB] BetKing Bankroll Token - Tokens distributed to your account on: December 03, 2017, 11:36:55 PM
You sold them to sort of a hedge fund, the bankroll consists of BTC, eth and ltc so as value of all of those increase, so does the value of the bankroll and therefore the value of BKB tokens.
Since BTC is 75% of the bankroll, he's pretty much still invested in BTC.

This is not correct, and part of the confusion.  Here is the ICO information:

https://betking.io/ico/

It appears the ICO proceeds were counted in USD and that determined the starting value in USD of the BKB tokens ($0.09286).  The value increase in the BKB token has exclusively been from casino profits (https://betking.io/bet/stats) - but BKB has not increased in value from the USD increase in the original bankroll. If it had, BKB would be worth far more - the initial amount alone would be worth $0.13+ plus the profits from the casino.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][BKB] BetKing Bankroll Token - Tokens distributed to your account on: November 30, 2017, 04:32:23 PM
I think the question boils down to this:

Let's say there are 10 million tokens out there and $10 million in profits over a quarter - then each token would gain $1 in value (obviously, I'm making all these numbers up).

At the end of the quarter, 1 million tokens are taken out of circulation.

So the next quarter, if there are another $10 million in profits, is that distributed between 9 million remaining tokens or the full 10 million?  I assume it's the 10 million - otherwise, all the profits in the casino would just go to a smaller and smaller group of token holders, which would make no sense and BetKing would never gain anything as a result.  But i think that's the question he's asking.

Is there any official information on how and when the buyback process will take place?
The buyback period begins December 4th. There will be an opt-in option for those that want 10% of their balance on BetKing.io to be sold. You need to have the tokens on BetKing before then.

Thanks!  Do you know how long the buyback period lasts? And do I just need to have the BKB on the site by the end of the buyback period, or by Dec 4th when it starts?  Thanks!

You're clearly, very immature. Again, why did you make a newbie account to troll here?

LOL. When you or I signed up or what our backgrounds are is completely meaningless on an anonymous message board.  All that matters are the facts about NVO that are out there - independent of you or I.  Your inability and unwillingness to make an affirmative case for NVO while focusing on distraction speaks volumes about you but nothing else.

On the flipside, major kudos to centersmissing and migello for actually making a pro-NVO argument on the previous page.  Those are the types of posts that have merit and value.    We'll see if their faith is justified in the coming months.

I might have a little experience in the business world with my supply chain management degree, my prior experience working for a fortune 500 and my business that I've owned for the last two year.

Then I would hope you'd know that slack forums are not a good way to communicate to an investor base.  Otherwise, your degree is worthless and I hope you didn't have any kind of an important job at your company.  This is even more basic than Business 101.  They have a website - they should use it.  Expecting people to hunt down the business owner on a slack channel - and one that is not taking new members at the moment - is about as stupid a business philosophy as you can get.

They only took 9% of the first escrow payout, they were entitled to 1/3. They are using an escrow, they keep updating slack and we keep seeing the wallet in action. Now tell me, why did you make a newbie account to troll this forum? Are you with some crappy competitor?

Again, you seem really big on distraction.  Why does it matter why I'm here?  The facts are facts -if they are on your side, you should be able to make an *affirmative* case for them instead of just trying to discredit everyone else.  Why do you avoid that?  If you are correct about them doing things right, it should be very easy to do.  Escrow is irrelevant because you have no access to the money anyway - there's no need or reason to take all the money from escrow immediately.  As I mentioned earlier, updating slack is relatively worthless - that's not a professional means of communication any more than Trump posting policy on Twitter.  The wallet is NOT in action - at least from what I've seen, all we have are images, which frankly mean nothing.

This guy actually thinks that being a few weeks late on software is a big deal? So many people have never lived in reality. Anytime you have a project, stuff goes wrong and issues come up.

Yes, and good developers & companiescommunicate openly and honestly about it. Do *you* have any experience in the business world? Delays are inevitable - lack of communication is generally an indication of deeper problems.

Again, I stated the case against NVO.  Instead of simply criticizing, why don't you try to make the affirmative case for them?  What they have done well thus far?  What evidence have they provided for your faith?  What metrics have they met successfully?  Seems like it's a lot easier to criticize the critics, but much tougher to justify the faith.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: November 17, 2017, 05:41:34 PM
So what I gather so far here:

* The ICO was a shitshow due to poor instructions and guidance - the very first part of the project was a total clusterfuck
* NVO has missed - by large margins - every deadline or estimate they've given.  "Days away" has turned into months, for example.
* NVO has been terrible at communicating and has no central source of information or updates - and can't be bothered to update the one official place they have (their website)
* NVO has provided literally no proof of any work or accomplishments so far
* No one knows anything about any of the developers except that some are also involved in other similarly unfinished/non-responsive projects

Does that sum up where we are?

Outside of blind faith, what is the trust-in-NVO argument based on?  What have the developers shown you that suggests they can:

* Build the NVO exchange
* Develop an actual clientele and address the various customer service and other issues that will come up
* Make it profitable and bring in consistent revenues
* Reliably deliver the shares of profits to NVO Token holders

Are BKB tokens tradable (or will they be after distribution)? If so, do we know where/how can we buy or sell them?

Welcome to the crypto world!!

have you watched Tenx (even videos of the ceo with "to the moon, to  space") and "everyothercrypto" social media (twitter etc.) with "to the moon" "rockets" etc. ......

i hope you have lived in a private island without internet for the last 5/6 years....

and you are complaining for a "will rise for sure" on a bitcointalk thread?

I love you man

Yes, I have seen those things - it tells me a lot of which the ethical and likely-to-be-know-what-they-are-doing ones are, and which are run by a bunch of amateurs in way over their heads.

Ethics are ethics - they don't change in the cryptocurrency world. The only reason for a founder of a company to try to pump the value of a coin (or stock) beyond it's actual legitimate market value is to take advantage of stupid people.  A company founder should promote their product and market their company - but the market then determines the actual value.  They should NOT try to influence that.  An ICO is no different than an IPO in terms of underlying principles - the method is different, but the underlying ethical principles are the same.
