1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: June 05, 2019, 05:04:46 AM
Eos is a wonderful cryptocurrency, but I do not like that it is not decentralized, and this is the basis of everything. For example, in one game, 1000 EOS was obtained by fraud, later this transaction was manually canceled.

Sorry, but I call BS on this. I am not aware of such instances when transactions have been cancelled. Please provide proof.

EOS is more decentralized than ETH and BTC as a result of 21 BPs and many more stand-by BPs, whereas ETH ad BTC mining is controlled by cartels of few huge players.

ARe all the EOS dapp developer known to blockone? EOSbet claim they were attending meetings with EOS.io

Not at all. In fact a lot of gambling dApp devs are working incognito. However, some of them do in fact attend meetings with Block.one VCs. That's true. I know devs from EOS Bet. They are all real people  Grin

We wrote this article about Voice and it got pinned by Brendan to his Twitter!

Voice is going to be huge!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: June 04, 2019, 02:21:30 PM
But I am now very disappointed with the news that EOS gave on the first of June. everyone was expecting some loud changes but in fact nothing interesting

A few people get the same underwhelming feeling from the event. The production of the event was unparallel. It had an Apple announcement vibe. But the message was a bit too short. But the more I think of it, the better I feel about Voice. It's going to be the first blockchain based soc med platform truly competing against Twitter and FB that has a chance to go mass market. You will be able to incorporate it into your websites, like Medium for instance. So the comments people leave under your Medium post will actually appear on your Voice and will earn you Voice tokens. Dan has learned from his errors at Steemit and is implementing these lessons in Voice.

They are have a strategy to go after influencers and lure them away from FB, Twitter, IG onto Voice promising them a double-pay: one from the sponsorship deals that they will keep and two from earning Voice tokens for their quality content.

Also, the Coinbase listing announcement is certainly underappreciated. In particular the Coinbase Custody announcement. https://www.eoswriter.io/3494_coinbase-listing-of-eos-why-is-it-a-great-indicator.eos

I just returned from a trip to Washington DC, where #B1June event - Block.one annual event took place. The event itself was a blast. They announced released of Voice - a social media platform run on EOS:

ARE all dapps of EOS in dappradar approved by the EOS foundation?
Were do we see the list of EOS approved dapps?

There are several projects these days claiming to have license from curacao but were questioned by some individuals. I wanna know if these license are real and that approved by the EOS foundation.

There is no such thing as "approved by the EOS Foundation". Moreover, there is no EOS Foundation per se. You might be referring to Block.one, but they are not in business of approving dApp.

As far as your question about licenses is concerned. It's true that several dApps do in fact claim that they have licenses from Curacao. I am sure there is a way to confirm that either by asking them to provide a link or by checking with some governmental institution in Curacao that issues these gambling licenses. From what I understand, however, Curacao gambling license is pretty meaningless in most jurisdictions (like US). I might be wrong on this last point though.

EOS is now listed on Coinbase. This is now likely the easiest fiat-to-EOS on-ramp that you can use!

The fact that EOS can now be purchased thru Coinbase (not GDAX) is huge. Coinbase has a very strict policy of adding new tokens. If they added EOS that means it passed the muster of their scrutiny. Also, now the path is paved for the Coinbase Custody to add it as well, which will bring Institutional investors.

Anyone from here going to Washington DC to attend the #B1June event? I'll be there. Let me know if you are there and we can meet up!

Guys which wallet do you think is the best mobile wallet for EOS? Also has anyone used imtoken to set up an EOS wallet, I bought some EOS lately and want to hold on mobile wallet.

I prefer EOS Lynx as the best mobile wallet, although I also use TokenPocket and Meet.one. Among the non-mobile Scatter is by far the most dominant, although I wouldn't call it very user-friendly.

Here's my latest article about yesterday's massive development. Block.one bought a massive amount of RAM (9.8M EOS worth) for their soon-to-be announced development:

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: May 24, 2019, 08:44:24 PM
Target is right. Dapps on EOS started growing explosively from August 2018 mostly powered by the gambling applications. Two of them in particular: EOS Dice and EOS Bet (btw, this one migrated from Ethereum and never looked back - they grew 100x post migration). But after that there were numerous other non-gambling dapps that were developed and are being used to this day.

Gaming (not gambling) is going to be huge on EOS as multiple gaming studios are developing games on the platform: Mythical Games, ITAM, Sword & Magic, Prospectors all are developing amazing games on it. I am not even talking about High Fidelity that has a VR version of Second Life (remember that platform?) developed and running on EOS.io.

Also, Block.one just unstaked close to 10M EOS (that's close to $63M) that they are planning to spend on some major strategic initiatives that they will be discussing during the #B1June event in DC:

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: May 23, 2019, 06:54:00 PM

Can you explain to use why most of the token on EOS aren't listed on major exchanges despite how good the token is?

Well there are some that is listed on binance but are actually not available for deposit not trading. There are tokens I'd like to also see on exchange because I'd also like to invest due to its offer.

Well, one simple explanation I have is BTCBTCBTC  Smiley

I haven't checked in a while, but at the peak, Binance used to demand north of $1M to get a token listed on their exchange. Which is obscene. EOS tokens get listed on the EOS decentralized exchanges such as Newdex, WhaleEx, EOSDAQ, Bancor and others that
a) have better security reputation (customer assets aren't stored on the exchange so they are harder to steal during the hack)
b) have decent liquidity
c) have more educated consumers who understand EOS and
d) that are FREE

It costs nothing to list a token on an exchange such as WhaleEx for instance. And you get very decent liquidity for your needs.

I highly appreciate EOS, I think it is ethereum's biggest competitor both in the present and the future. Currently there are many users of EOS applications, it that have a very well-known development team and very strong financial potential. In the future, I think EOS will grow very strong and sustainable.

There is a big and growing number of projects that either outright immigrated from ETH to EOS or developed parallel applications on EOS blockchain. That to me speaks volumes about the potential of EOS. We spoke about some of them here: https://www.eoswriter.io/676_projects-moving-to-the-eos-ecosystem.eos

But there are many more that have indicated the move since then.

I am not a big fan of EOS, but I always keep up with its development and price. A few months ago, I bought EOS with $ 50, and only sold it last week. Yeah, still getting decent results. It might be better if we buy EOS and store it in 2 year, to reap the results. Please give your opinion. Thankz.

Can you tell me why you are not a big fan? I am asking sincerely.

Speaking about new and exciting projects run on EOS. pixEOS is by far my favorite. You can read about it here:

https://www.eoswriter.io/1617_pixeos-announced-updated-roadmap-and-it-will-make-you-salivate.eos

And here's the latest article I wrote today about Digital Arts and the concept of buying Digital Arts thru a platform like pixEOS:

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: May 22, 2019, 09:32:07 PM
EOS is a smart contract platform with the most used Dapps, I recall. There is controversy over its consensus mechanism - with voting for 21 block producers I recall - but I suppose actual use is what ultimately matters. My gripe is the cost to set up an account, even if just a few dollars, and the seeming complexity of setting up a wallet. I'd like a much easier user experience.

Cost to set up an account is pretty negligible. It's either $1 or, in most cases, is free as a lot of projects run promos where they bear the cost of account set up and give it to you for free.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: May 22, 2019, 09:31:05 PM

I can sense that there are more developments on this platform and it would be exciting to soon witness them.

Oh you can definitely see the developments already. There are a ton of amazing dApps that have already been developed or are in the process of being developed. You can check out a list of some of them here: https://dappradar.com/rankings/protocol/eos
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Discussion on: May 22, 2019, 01:40:02 PM
I'm not exactly an EOS fan. But I generally like a coin. Still, with the introduction of Tron, the EOS is a little bit back on track. The only difference is that the transaction fees in the Tron network are slightly higher.

There are no explicit Tx fees on EOS at all! Only cost of resources like RAM and CPU. But you stake your EOS tokens for those so you technically still own them at the end of the day. Tron has real Tx fees. I am not a huge fan of Tron but at marketing their project they are second to none. Justin is doing an amazing job at that!

There's an interesting speculation theory going around about the June 1st announcement that FB and/or Telegram might be building their cryptocurrencies on EOSIO. Thoughts?
