1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Casualty List on: April 18, 2015, 07:46:19 AM
Pff, I use bitcoin on a daily basis. It will never die. Not until I say so  Wink I got a guy here who gives out free resistors and shit, even microchips. Great guy, maybe he can get me an ASIC?  Grin
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are they awake in China? Tool for determining timezones in a country on: April 01, 2015, 12:59:57 PM
This is a really useful little tool, I'm surprised nobody commented here yet. I'm never sure when a continent/country/whatever will be awake generally, and this helps a lot with it.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 31, 2015, 01:02:39 PM
There's not much going on at the moment? I'm looking at the charts but it seems awfully silent. Alarms ftw!  Cheesy
4  Economy / Services / Re: weekly paid job , a girl and full member above is a must on: March 29, 2015, 04:22:38 PM
This thread is hilarious. Who in their right mind would "hire" someone who doesn't know how to properly spell. Even better: who in their right mind would post an "application" where a requirement is "must be good in English" and doesn't even use capitalisation?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you first hear about Bitcoin? on: March 29, 2015, 04:08:11 PM
I don't know at what time exactly, but I remember it being around $10 back then. I remember thinking "$10?! That's a lot." and never bought any. Oh the pain...
6  Economy / Services / Re: I need a escrow service - quick - on: March 28, 2015, 05:07:34 PM
I can help you too. I dont charge a fee but i like donations of course. Wink

I think it's great that you offer this service for free. Why do you do it? Just because you believe in bitcoin?  Cheesy
7  Economy / Goods / Re: [For resellers only] Apple and Samsung products 70% OFF on: March 25, 2015, 11:38:26 PM

What I don't get is, if he offers to go through escrow, how will he get any money from his scam? Confuseeedd  Huh

They offer escrow because it looks legit then make excuses not to use it or ignore enquiries with escrow required.

They actually hope someone just buys from them without using escrow and of course the goods never arrive because they don't exist.

Ah, the shotgun method.

Seems like you're ignoring the request for photos.

It sure does smell like there's something up... OP, please post photo's of the OS working, not just a black screen.
That way we know that the iCloud Lock is not engaged, which would mean it was stolen.
If iCloud lock is engaged, the phone will be rendered useless.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: March 16, 2015, 12:14:53 AM
Yep, mining. Making about BTC 0.2 a day.

How much did you invest to make this? Cloud mining or just asic mining? Or GPU mining with altcoins? Or even CPU mining Grin hey, anything goes!

So even though he's using a losing strategy, he's managed to get lucky and win.

Yes. That's the whole point about gambling: everyone has the same chances, some lose and some win. It all evens out in the end, though. If you REALLY want to make a lot of money, steal or work for it. Then HODL Grin
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Woke up today and lost all my Bitcoins ! on: March 15, 2015, 10:24:53 PM
This is an entertaining variation on the "bitcoinz is too unsafe, SELL!" troll.

My wallet is broken and I lost my password and my neighbour is haxx0ring me. Geez I think if I were you I would SELL!

Your post contains the only two "sell" in this whole thread. Are you sure you're replying to the right thread there, buddy? Smiley It's no problem, we've all had our little blunder moments heh
13  Economy / Securities / Re: HAVELOCK tried to BRIBE ME! on: March 15, 2015, 10:16:50 PM
Yeah, I read this as more of a "Tongue in Cheek" comment.. "Hey little kid, you're bothering me... can I just pay you to go way... you're getting annoying."..    Not any admission of guilt.. Hell, i would have probably done the same... had I not already lost it all in AM shares Smiley

Assuming it's real (and I've got no reason to believe Airwolf is capable of faking an email) I find it highly unprofessional. Havelock isn't exactly swimming in cash and I'm sure their shareholders would rather be paid that 10btc than have it given to some wannabe gangster who made a few empty threats.

Like Fordee said: they were probably not serious. AirWolf is making a big show out of it because, well, it's AirWolf. He's known for his shenanigans. The funny little kid. See, that was not serious as well. AirWolf is not funny, he's sad.  Smiley
14  Economy / Securities / Re: My Havelock Account Was Hacked!!! on: March 15, 2015, 10:13:51 PM
My account was hacked this morning at 6:40 CST. I didnt have 2FA set up because i dont have a smart phone. I know, im one of few. Anyway, is there anything i can do? Or is there anyone who can or is willing to help me out?? I got one BTC for anyone that can help me get back what i lost. If its even possible. Thanks

Here is the address where they were sent.  1M767Y235svLCU75kHUwyTPuueiPwXwgvC   First time its been used.

There are some phishing sites that appear on google from time to time. They change one letter, include a number or do some minor hardly noticeable correction and pretends to be the original site. Links to funds did not work at the time I visited one just for fun, but you can see login page and they want you put in your password. You should definitely use 2FA, its not that hard to own a mobile phone these days Smiley And always open from the bookmark, because there can be a typo, you can make mistake in reading from google results and so on  Wink And I don't think there is a way to recover your btc, it works only one way dude Wink

Yep. There's even bitsmacking or something (forgot what it's called), which basically relies on cosmic radiation (yes, really) to flip ONE bit in a URL (like bitcointalk.org could randomly become botcointalk.org) and you wouldn't notice. It's a proven concept, even.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any reports of Bitcoin being taught at your school? on: March 15, 2015, 10:08:34 PM
Nope. 95% of the students don't even know what bitcoin is at my school. Even the ones who do don't really believe in it. They think it's all stupid internet crap. We'll show them! Grin right? .....right....?
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold vs Bitcoin: 1-0. With Gold, you can wipe your ass ;) on: March 15, 2015, 10:07:10 PM
In all reality a roll of toiletpaper like that would be pretty cheap. There is very little gold on those sheets. It's kinda like the gold in the alcohol drinks. There's literatly like 4$ of gold in each bottle. I would say it's about the same for a roll of toiletpaper.

Ooooh, you mean Gold Strike? I loved that shit until I barfed up a whole bottle one night. Now whenever I smell cinnamon I go into dry heaving mode. Ugh, never again. Such a shame, really.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: What happened to the Puzzles? on: March 15, 2015, 10:03:40 PM

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I get rid of dust in my wallet? on: March 15, 2015, 09:59:38 PM
I can group it together for you, easy as pie! Just give me your wallet and encryption codes (assuming you've enabled that (hint: you should)) and I'll give it back within a few minutes!  Grin

(Don't actually do that)
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Woke up today and lost all my Bitcoins ! on: March 15, 2015, 09:54:45 PM
You cannot trust Android phones. A lot of them have malware or are bound to get it (play store is riddled with them). Huawei phones (with Android) are rumoured to be in direct connection with the Chinese government, should they want to hear what you've got to say.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want to do cold storage on an ubuntu dual boot desktokp w/ windows 7 is that ok? on: March 15, 2015, 09:53:09 PM
Get a USB stick of 32 or 64 gigs with a live version of Tails on it, encrypted. Download the whole blockchain manually.
That's about the only way you can be sure that your coins are safe. DON'T FORGET to have a paper wallet, USB sticks can randomly fail...!!!!
