>>>IF I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD DO THE REFUNDS IMMEDIATELY!<<<

1st Problem : Paypal is in no mood to release my money soon
2nd Problem: CryptX has not paid yet, i suspect they can't because their paypal is also frozen.

In order to do more refunds before paypal releases my money i would have to sell more boards.
But would anyone here like to buy more boards from me?

Would anyone be interested in reasonably priced fury boards?
I would have to gather enough orders for one reel though.

I understand your anger and you are rightfully furious, i would be too if i were in the same situation.
But without cryptx's and pay-pals money there is just nothing i can pay you with.
I already poured all my private savings into the company to pay manufacturing bills.

Just as background: the 50% i keep from the refunds don't cover all costs.

The problem I have is that 50% should not be difficult to return, especially with the talent that burnin possesses. I see no reason he couldn't build enough "personal" miners to generate BTC and pay those of us back that requested it due to the good faith gesture put forth by burnin and cryptx.

With 0 money i can buy exactly 0 chips to put on boards to mine coins for refunds.

So, to clarify, you are waiting on funds held by PayPal to refund customers that did not pay with PayPal?

Let's be transparent. How much does cryptx owe you, and when was that due? In total, how much in refunds has been paid, and how much is still yet to be refunded? How many customers have been refunded, and how many are left? The more we know about your arrangement with him, and it's status, I think the better it will for everyone.

As for buying "reasonably" priced fury boards, I think it is a little late. I would have liked to do this originally, pre-cryptx price hikes.

You say that your cost was more than 50% for the boards. Would you be willing to explain a little more about that?

I can understand your desperation as well. I appreciate your post about the refunds, and I encourage you to continue with timely updates.

Thanks a lot !
i had miss that one

Do they share the database account or i need to made a new account.
And if new account needed, how tie my order to the new account ?

Thanks gain !

I hate to be discouraging, but it might not be worth your time. Neither asic-hardware (cryptx) nor burnin bother responding to any emails having to do with refunds now, so you might start looking for other forms of recourse, whatever that may be.

I am no longer willing to excuse this at all. Once you stop providing responses in email or at least a status update to point to, all faith is gone. I lodged a complaint with BitPay, who said they will not resolve disputes, but they do log complaints. I will further investigate what legal remedies I can avail myself of in Germany this week.

If burnin or cryptx have something to say about the refunds, let it be soon and substantive, or prepare for the consequences of leaving your customers high and dry. Better than saying something, just do the refunds.

Hey burnin,

Are you still planning to refund me? My emails don't seem to reach you, and I don't see anyone else talking about refunds so I thought I'd bring it up right here. I paid you 30~BTC, and all my chips are refunded. Let's talk. I'm sick of waiting.

I really hate to bring this up, but I don't really have a choice.

When it was originally stated that bitcoins would be used, it was not specified that payment would be taken through BitPay. While I don't have anything against them as a service, their rates are not reflective of the current exchange rate.

As of the last time I checked, BitPay asks payment in BTC at a rate of 66.783 Euro/1BTC, versus the current price of 73 Euro/1BTC. 73/66.783 = 1.093. I feel that it is unfair to ask bitcoin customers to pay a 9.3% premium for paying in bitcoin, especially when it was not stated beforehand.  Had I known this to be the case, I would have used PayPal.

2090Euro / 66.783 (bitpay) = 31.295389545
2090Euro / 73 (mtgox) = 28.630136986
Difference is 2.665252559 BTC × 73 = 194.563436807 Euro

I'm not trying to be difficult, but this would put me in a difficult position. Maybe others have a helpful insight to provide. I know that this was not intentionally done, and that BitPay offers burnin a convenient conversion to fiat. I hope that there is someway to resolve this where everyone is happy. Am I completely off-base here?

is nobody else wondering why bitpays rate is just 65€/BTC instead of 68/BTC ?

they are not using mt gox price anymore.

That's kind of a big deal. For my order it will mean the difference of a few whole bitcoins.

Is anyone else able to access the site without being 401'd?

That's interesting that you are able to do that. I can see that being pretty handy, unfortunately, I'm flush out!

Be sure to check out #bitcoin-otc on freenode.

The next best thing is probably #bitcoin-otc on freenode. I'm sure you could figure out a way to get some bitcoins there.

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will the litecoin ever overtake the bitcoin? on: April 30, 2013, 12:30:41 PM
[...] additional advantages of LTC besides the faster confirmation times:

- 4x transaction capacity (BTC can have 1MB of transactions per 10 min. while LTC can take 4MB)
- smaller blockchain so far (no SatoshiDice)
@transaction capacity:
Does this mean that LTC can do a bigger amount of transactions per time? Is the number of transactions BTC can do per 10 min. too low to work as a widespread world currency?

Yes, LTC can do more transactions per time with the current limit of 1MB per block.

1MB per 10 minutes (or even 4MB per 10 minutes) would not be enough for a widespread world currency. Other than actually raising the 1MB per block limit there are solutions, such as Ripple, that would help get around this problem. In effect, Bitcoin could become a "backing currency" such as gold, where you only do large transactions between banks/money services to balance out the accumulated differences from the common transactions.

I agree with this. I think that Litecoin will be a more stable currency because it is ASIC and FPGA resistant. I can definitely see Litecoin jumping in value after being introduced on mtgox, and it being used for "lite" transactions, where Bitcoin becomes a more long term value store.
