So it's all the coins not just btc and ltc.

Guess I'm out 15 cents.  lol.

Update: my balance (all 15 cents worth) has reappeared on cryptsy but wallets are "under maintainence" whatever that means.

Thanks.  I'm trying to figure out how to do that last thing you mentioned.  I'm using multibit right now and it's on a mac so I feel fairly safe it's just that some times I have to take my computer out, that's the security concern I have.  I feel more secure using the client rather than an online wallet.  I tried the first client you mentioned but I kept getting database errors so I switched.

Thanks.  I just want to have a backup in case I lose my computer. I don't want to use both for transactions unless something happens to the one I normally use.  I tried copying the wallet.dat file to my other computer but it didn't work (I got the blackened icon you get when something isn't right with the file on a mac) and I couldn't figure out which application to use to open it with.  It wasn't something I could open with the wallet application itself.  I'm not married to using my computer to back up my btc I'm just not sure how to do it the cold storage or paper wallet way.  Do you mean that you just write down the keys on paper?  I tried that but couldn't get the keys because I had already encrypted the wallet that I put my btc in.  Any suggestions on the best way for me to back up and any guidance on how to do it would be great.  I'm not really a technical person so the command line intimidates me.  Thanks.

Can I save my bitcoins on 2 separate computers simultaneously.  If so, how?  Preferably without using the terminal.  Thanks.

Has anyone here recieved there ripple from Opencoin yet for this?

This ended some time ago but no one locks the thread.

I think most of the posts here were never eligible, anyways.  Mine wasn't but I threw it in here just in case they take pity on all the noobs.

I got an email saying everyone who signed up before May 9 will receive some by the end of the month.

I'm no techie, but does this mean mtgox is under attack again? I have most of my coins on this site, scared about moving them to a wallet on my desktop (ala multibit), but this is the second day in a row I'm seeing this message. Anyone else concerned?

Why are you more comfortable storing them online rather than your desktop?  I feel much safer storing mine on my computer.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / PPC Desktop client for Mac? on: May 03, 2013, 03:02:02 AM
Does anyone know of a desktop client for storing ppc on a mac?  I can't find a link for ppc-qt.  Also are there any that are user friendly for non-technical people who don't know their way around their terminal?  Thanks.
