1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of Chronologic (proof of time) ? on: August 18, 2017, 09:57:13 PM
The creator of eos was talking about this concept. He says in the future bitcoin will be used exclusively as proof of time, and will underpin all blockchains, so if you hold bitcoin in the same place for longer the more it's worth because it's easier to check its proof. I think he is working on this in eos right now. He was talking about it on a recent worldcryptonews podcast

Do you have a link to the creator of Eos talking about proof of time?

Another question. Will Coin Dash burn some of their stack of CDT in order to make the value increase for the token holders?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 19, 2017, 11:00:44 AM
I wonder if any exchanges will even list this token knowing that the hacker could have sent to to his own address and got free CDT Tokens as well as getting his eth back...... But Coin Dash HQ won't respond to that like they haven't really responded to anything in this thread.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 19, 2017, 09:15:25 AM
Once they confirm they will go ahead without token refunds and just send out eth to everyone I'm making an eth trader post don't care if it hurts my coin value the project is completely fucked anyway.

CoinDashers

These are very difficult times for us. We obviously lost your confidence, we have been accused of being thieves and suffered thousands of personal insults. But regardless of that we are still here. We can't control your thoughts and believes but only ask you to hear us out. We did a mistake, a mistake that cost us dearly and damaged a work spreaded over almost an entire year. mentally speaking this is a blow that not everyone can handle but we are all still here trying to make things right. What exactly happened during the hack is still being investigated as we speak, both by cyber security authorities and private 3rd party hired by the company. when we will get the reports with the findings so does you.

We have considered several ways to continue from here. Unfortunately for some here, refunds are off the table. We currently hold approximately half of the amount that was contributed to the project. We are taking full responsibility of the situation and can't ignore some of the community that invested into the hacker address. Everyone will get the tokens they intended to get at first place. This is what we committed to do and this is what will happen. The exact distribution method is being finalized and hopefully announced today.

We were blessed with your support for almost a year. The last two days had been a nightmare for us and above all we lost your confidence. We are all here for the long run and are devoted to do whatever it takes to gain your trust again and protecting your contribution value.
No matter what the hack investigation will come up with, we obviously made a mistake securing our site during the sale. Our product is still intact and is still running. If you believed it before there is no real reason for it to stop now. If we want to fully recover we need you to stay with us and get this token its true value back again. The token price will fall only if you stop believing and hurry to get rid of it. so it is really up to you now.

Hopefully with your support we can put this unfortunate mistake behind and continue our journey.

Thanks

The fact that you won't even truly engage in the dialogue regarding a limited time 12/24 hour eth refund and burning the CDT tokens you receive back proves that you're a scammy company that cannot be trusted. You can't actually debate the idea so you simply throw out PR Lines over and over again not addressing the solution that has been addressed. You say that distributing the tokens will protect everyone's investment but the tokens are already trading at 10% of the ico price what do you think will happen when everyone recieves their tokens? What will happen when a thread is posted on Reddit Eth Trader regarding the fact that you refuse to refund people's eth?

From the horses mouth no eth refunds for people on the white list proves that this shit was a scam from the start.

Edit: Someone embded this for me I don't know why it won't show.

Sorry guys but the inside job option makes no sense at all. If they wanted to cheat they would have got much more just by cashing the whole ICO, then slowly dumping their own tokens at 5X price and finally delivering a shitty platform after one year or two.
It clearly was a hack. A quite simple and clever hack actually.

They are going to build a shitty fucking platform for as little cash as possible using people on the whitelist's eth and dumping CDT in a year or two and blame it failing on the hack and move onto the next thing anyway, inside job furthers that agenda. These devs are pieces of shit and it's a clear scam based on their previous history and the fact that they won't return people on the whitelist's eth.

We understand that at current state for must of you, your support and trust in us are practically not existing. All we can do now is try and gain that trust back again and we will do our best efforts to achieve that. Please understand that this is not a simple case as many got hurt in different ways. We currently don't believe that handing refunds to some while others get nothing is the right thing to do. We need more time, we understand this is something difficult to hear right now but we still don't want to rush things now and regret later on.

One last point, there have been many malicious accusations here, we are all taking the blame and understand your frustration and just want to point out that we are unite and in this together. None of the team acted at any point at his own and thus should not be blamed for the entire misfortunate events.

This is the obvious best case scenario

It's not fucking rocket science lol. let me get in the driving seat if you're incapable of sorting this out.

1) Get your shitty little community managers to be active in times like these. Social media, blogs, aswell as forums. Investors need reassurance, our questions answered, and quite frankly your community team need to do their work.

2) Set up a smart contract where whitelist participants send their CDT tokens to get their ETH back. After all, it's their ETH, so give them the option and provide it to the rightful owners. It's only fair in this sort of situation.

3) BURN all CDT tokens that have been refunded.

4) Minimise your dev fund, and provide extra bonuses to those who sent it to the fake address. With the extra bonus aswell as the burning of the tokens, this will help weight out the negatives and hopefully provide a stable, if not, profitable outcome for those holding CDT.

5) Fire your security team.

6) Stop being so greedy and listen to your community, without your investors you'd be nothing.

-- You want to re-gain trust? Stop holding innocent peoples ETH and do the bullet points listed and work from there.

SIMPLE.

QUOTE THIS IF YOU AGREE.

Guys we hope to receive deep understanding today about the way the hacker succeeded to bypass our site security, as soon as we will get those final answers we will deliver them to you.

Make no mistakes we are devastated by the lost of funds however we still got enough ETH to produce a great project. The most important thing for us to do now is gain the community trust again. We are devoted now more then ever to do whatever it takes to secure your contribution and compensate everyone that participate. We need you to help us do that.

we are going to give everyone their CDT tokens. how when and where will be out as soon as we figure out all the details. There are many options how to do it and it is something that needs to be executed carefully, we do not want to do things quick now and be sorry later.

There are forms going around collecting all of your contribution details, please help us get those forms as quickly as possible so we can continue the process. As those google forms are controlled by few members on the team from different time zones the have different urls but they are effectively the same one.

Thanks

Ridiculous statement us on the whitelist do not want your CDT tokens we have been sold a project on false pretences and you have the opportunity to make that right by refunding the eth in exchange for our CDT tokens and burning them. If you really want to gain consumer confidence you will offer people this option you have our Eth not the hacker. Bancor offered the same opportunity when they were DDOS'd during the ICO.

You have also have not addressed this issue.

As sad as the theft was, the other investors get diluted against the agreed upon terms by doing this.
Apart from the obvious fact that the team's credibility just received a massive hit after ignoring all the well-intended advice regarding token sale best practices meaning the token will most likely lose a good chunk of its value right from the start, this compensation scheme is also wide open to game theoretic attacks.
If the above promise holds true, the attacker can simply send ETH to the fake address from another sufficiently uncorrelated and seemingly innocent address they own and mint "free" CDT, effectively emptying the pockets of the investor's base via downwards inflationary pressure on the price. This has zero cost on them. They just get more CDT, the more ETH they send to themselves.
Also, there is no way to disprove this was an inside job which means that you can't restrict the "compensation" to contributions made before the announcement because the insider(s) could have taken that into account.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 18, 2017, 05:55:17 AM
I'm telling you, if they don't even engage in dialogue about refunding the whitelisters eth it was an inside job.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 18, 2017, 05:31:39 AM
Look at this communication they won't even acknowledge the idea of refunding people on the whitelist instead they will straight up ignore it or dismiss it, distribute the CDT tokens and then pretend to make progress on the project for a year or so. They will then release a shit product and blame the failure of it on consumer confidence being shaken by the hack and say they tried meanwhile they keep the eth as well as the 6 million or more from the CDT tokens they have.

I really wouldn't be surprised if this was an inside job there doesn't even seem to be remorse or dialogue about the best solution to fix this.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 08:01:11 PM
People who invested through whitelist must have a choice if they want to keep the token or get refunded. If for whatever reason they wont allow this it is 100% scam.

Whitelist. I didn't like this idea from the beginning. In the end, whitelisters served as guinea pigs.

The devs will refund them since the devs have their ETH not the hacker. If they don't then that's just sketchy as fuck

All the Whitelist guys get it, but they don't get it.  If CoinDash allows you to take your ETH back, then EVERYONE will request the ETH back and there will no longer be a CoinDash platform as the team will have no funds to continue.  You are essentially asking them to kill their project, when there is still a chance to save it.  If you were on the Whitelist, you'd think you would care more about the CoinDash project and the team than the average contributor, and you would be more willing to roll the dice with them instead of screaming scam if you aren't immediately refunded ETH.

You should give people the option rather than force them to take tokens that they have invested in under false pretences, the project is dead no one will touch their platform after this scandal especially since their team has been linked to other scam projects in the past. It would be easy to set up a smart contract that people can send their CDT too and get a refund in ETH.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 06:19:36 PM

Can you explain why you will not be refunding people who sent to the whitelisted address? You could easily create a smart contract where people sent their CDT and go their ETH in return.

Can you also explain how you will deal with his issue?

I can't believe they have not offered a refund to people who have sent to the whitelisted address it's ridiculous the eth they raised through that address was under 250 what can they possibly do with that eth that will help the project it is a tiny amount of money in the grand scheme of things but yet they won't refund. I bet Taas fund will get a refund for their 500 eth.

They could easily set up a smart contract where people send back their CDT and get their eth equivalent in return that would be fair.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 04:30:13 PM
The question is will TaaS get their eth back?

https://medium.com/@Taas/taas-invests-500-eth-in-coindash-a-crypto-based-social-trading-platform-14a6055c5fd8

Because if so the people on the white list better get their eth back too

They should be refunded instantly, since the coindash team has the whitelist address ETH total I think anyway.

They should not refund whitelisted adresses as that would be extremely unfair to all other participants. Only 'fair' way to refund some of the ether would be to re-distribute it proportionally to everyone (so including those that send to the fake address from their mainpage).

Other option is issuing worthless tokens to everyone. I guess we're screwed out of at least part of our money either way.

So what you're saying everyone should lose then? You can't proportionally refund people as people who did nothing wrong will then still be penalised.

If they issue worthless tokens to everyone, everyone loses so what's the point? Might as well be one positive outcome

I'm on the whitelist so my Eth actually went to the right address will be interesting to see if White listed people get an eth refund or they force us to keep their worthless fucking CDT tokens

The CoinDash team would lose even more credibility if they refunded ETH to the Whitelist while giving out CDT to all those who got scammed.  Either ETH back to all, or CDT to all.  They can't afford the ETH, so their only real solution is to give out the CDT, create a truly magnificent product, and attempt to put the hack behind them.  Are they capable of this?  At this point, the confidence level is low.

It's bullshit though the eth they have is a pittance in the grand scheme of things they might as well send it back and self fund
