1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is our money in crypto? on: August 07, 2018, 05:06:55 AM
Money is not at all safe in cryptocurrency, There are so many hackers around here who's only business is hack a wallet of bounty hunters to get money without doing anything.

Our money really isn't safe be it in fiat or cryptocurrency form. In any forms, it can be robbed from us. They just differ in ways but with the same kind of persons: criminals. In fiat, it can be robbed from us by pickpockets and in crypto it can be robbed from us by hackers. The world is scary as it is and it is up to us how we can put our valuables into safety and away from those bastards who have nothing in mind but to get rich the easy way.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel now? on: July 17, 2018, 04:21:58 PM
I can hear nothing but the sighs of coin developers, crypto investors, traders and even bounty managers & hunters in this forum, Telegram groups. I can also hear the sound of silence from crypto enthusiasts, specialists, speakers or even crypto millionaires. I can even hear the terrible voices from crypto believers, gentlemen, ladies. I realize that Mr market makers are too greedy, dangerous and malicious. We are Nemo fishes and we have nothing to do but staring our money have been gradually gone with the wind.  Cry
What are you feeling now? Share your thoughts

Just because the market right now is stable and the bull is taking a much deserved rest from last year's run of the century doesn't mean everyone is silent and sighing in the corner. You might not be aware but most of the seasoned investors are silently buying in more coins for the preparation for the next bullrun whenever that may be. Just like ants during summer that are loading up stocks before the rain falls. You should do the same for you not to be left out once the joy ride begins.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins vs. fiat currency on: July 17, 2018, 02:59:50 PM
2019 the year of Battle between cryptocurrencies and Fiat Currencies.

Who is the winner?

If we are only talking about the battle between the two for only next year then no doubt it will be fiat that is to win. We might think that cryptocurrency is widely spread now worldwide (it may be true) but considering the population of the world I doubt if the crypto community even reached 5% of the world's population. So if we are to be positive and say that we are 5% of the population but 100% uses fiat. So clearly cryptocurrency doesn't stand a chance over fiat. But if we are to talk about 30 to 50 years from now, then that is another story.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is better? on: July 17, 2018, 01:38:58 PM
Hey guys, do you think It is better to hold main crypto currencies like bitcoin it ether? Or you hold all your money in alt coins?

As investors, we need to diversify all our investments so it is better to have a little of this and that. It is good to hold BTC and ETH but we should also buy some of the alts because I believe in the never dying advice which is to never put all your eggs in one basket. Doing so will not only make your portfolio look good and diverse but also one or more of them alts will at some point help you cope up in time of losses from other coins.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: July 17, 2018, 01:00:46 PM
What have you been using your ETH for?

For trading
To buy ICO
For long term investment
Other - explain

For now I have my Eth mostly for a long term investment but I also set aside some of it to trade for other alts such as doge, ltc, xmr, xvg and other known alts that I believe have potentials in the long run. As of the moment I have some difficulties choosing and ICO to invest in after the series of scamming from successful ones just earlier this year so I have to be really careful. I've had some losses so I thought to myself that maybe I have to play it safe for now and focus more on investing on the ones that are well known alts for better chances.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your biggest mistake up to now on: July 16, 2018, 09:48:07 PM
Recently

I bought iotx , and sold it after two days. Unfortunetly next day it listed on binance , iotx moon . I have lost of oppertunity of 12000$

Thats biggest mistake done recently. Share your ones ?

Read all posts , you can undertand where  our weak points. Some too early sell , some too early buy.

From mistakes we can learn

Reading all the replies about everyone's usual mistake can be of big help for those who are just starting up their journey in cryptocurrency market. They can learn a lot by avoiding those mistakes and maybe come up with a strategy on how to better deal if ever they find themselves in same situation of committing a mistake. AS for me, I won't be a hypocrite and say that I never had any mistakes in dealing with crypto. All of us at some point in our starting days may have made a mistake such as panic selling which I myself did when I was a newbie but now I'm not regretful over it because it taught me things I should know and that is what's more important.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2000 Ripple or 5000 Сardano? on: July 16, 2018, 09:14:04 PM
I want to give a friend a cryptocurrency for his birthday, but I can't decide which one is better. I have 5000 cardano and 2000 ripple. Tell me that it is better to leave to keep?

Both coins are good and promising but for me, if I am your friend I'd prefer it if you will give me the Cardano. But to be fair, I don't know whether your friend thinks the same so I cannot answer for him/her. Also, make sure that your friend knows about crypto first if he is interested in it because it will be nonsense if he/she doesn't know a thing about either of the alts you are thinking of giving. Also, to be sure why not just give him half of Ripple and Cardano so he/she can have both. Two is better than one anyway.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies? on: July 16, 2018, 01:33:04 PM
Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?

It doesn't matter whether or not the coins/tokens you want to invest in is in top 100 or not. The risk is there even if you buy those that are in top 10. You also need to note that somehow they are interconnected to each other in a sense that when BTC is on a bearish state most probably the alts will also decline. Though maybe not all the time but the rate of this phenomenon is high. But to ease your mind just a little, yeah I think the chances of loss is higher especially if the alts you're thinking of isn't supported by more people. Remember that it is the demand and supply game.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: July 16, 2018, 12:36:23 PM
Disclaimer: The text below is a personal opinion of the author. If you have a different opinion, please share it

ICO causes more and more distrust - thanks to the scammers. At this point, companies that produce and sell tokens are more focused on the product. The product is being developed and improved. And all before the token sale.

The fact is: those companies that enter the token market with a readymade product are more trustworthy. Now, few people are interested in a company that launches ICO just to make a name and earn a lot of money.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.

What is more, you can get tokens for testing KickCity beta. You can get reward for testing this platform https://kickcity.io/event/5a9d11030cf2cac8e081f3e8

As long as there are bunch of people who invest in ICOs it won't stop or die just yet. Maybe if all companies adapt into blockchain and people can no longer think of anything to develop and/or improve in existing projects then maybe, just maybe, it will put an end to the ICO craze which I doubt. As for your point of view regarding existing companies with existing products and not just a plan (illusion) I totally agree with you. It is less risky than blindly invest in projects we know nothing of but just what they state in their whitepapers and websites.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 coins in 2020? on: July 16, 2018, 11:50:15 AM
I am trying to guess what will be the top 3 coins in 2 more year, say on 1st June, 2020.

Probably, BTC may not be the champion anymore but will still stand at runner-up position thanks to its historical role. ETH providing reliable platform for many valuable tokens can overthrow BTC to become the king. One of the coins with 3rd-generation blockchain like ADA or EOS will deserve the 3rd.

Anything can happen, and that's my prediction. What's yours?

That's a fair prediction but for me in 2 years time I still believe BTC to be the top ranked cryptocurrency. Sure thing, there's a lot to happen in a span of 2 years but if we are to consider the historical role of BTC as you've said, then we should know that it's really not that easy to overthrow it by other alts even ETH itself. Consider this: everyone here who are investing in eth and other alts, even those who invest in ICOs, most of them (if not all) have various coins/tokens but there will be one thing that they both have in their portfolio and that is BTC. Maybe for the top 2 and 3 rank I can say ETH and BCH well that's just for me.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is launching '' FaceCoin ''' on: July 15, 2018, 06:03:26 PM
The "FaceCoin " will someday be a reality. According to many repoprts Mark Zuckerberg's social network would consider creating his own virtual tokens to facilitate paid transactions on his platform that now has some 2 billion user . For this matter Facebook has assembled a team dedicated to the technology of the blockchain. It is directed by David Marcus, former Messenger boss and former president of Paypal.

https://cheddar.com/videos/facebook-plans-to-create-its-own-cryptocurrency

I'm not sure of the legitimacy of this supposed news of facebook's own coin but like other members here I highly doubt this one. Not too long ago, facebook banned the advertisements of any ICOs, if you can recall. Which clearly gave a hint, if not a direct statement, that they aren't too keen on being involved in blockchain. So it doesn't really add up to me how this kind of news will spread. We better wait for an official announcement from Mark himself and not just any links that say this or that to avoid confusion and misinformation.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest wisely on: July 14, 2018, 12:18:39 PM
It's getting ridiculous here. People are now investing just because of the hype or just from watching the scores given by Icobench, ICOratings etc.

You're doing it wrong. You should look at the team and the experience they have, whether this project exists already (e.g we have Monaco, TenX, Centra, MoxyOne and many others) and none of them actually delivered 100% what they promised etc. so unless you really see the potentials on the project, you really shouldn't invest. Ignore the moon bullshit they are trying to feed you.

This is valid for both bounty hunters (because they are wasting their time) and ICO participants (wasting money).

That is a good advice one can give to a fellow investors and we should all learn from this. Although it's really hard to determine whether a project possesses a great potential since this market is very unstable, hence the volatility. Even if they introduce themselves as experts in the fields they say they are in we cannot really be sure if what they say are true. Like for example I can start a project and post in our supposed website my name and my specialty, how can people/investors know that what I'm claiming is true or just a make believe, right? It really is a gamble investing our money (investors) and time (bounty participants) in cryptocurrency. One can just hope and pray to God that we invest on the right project.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Investment for 1 year on: July 10, 2018, 03:32:42 PM
What are some of the alts that you feel can give high profits like 100x in a year, by the end of 2018.

Do Golem, Nem, DGB, Siacoin have that potential in them?

What will be your picks for a year long investment?

As for my opinion, the above mentioned alts are good and have potentials but I'm not sure about 100x profits in a year. Personally, I'd go for nem and dgb because I think they can have good value come 2019. And also, I have ETN and I might hold it for 5 years hopefully I can do it because it's been predicted to have a really good future and that it is expected to have better news in 5 years time. I also like to add to this list Tpay and Crpt. I'm still looking for other alts that are for long term investment.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How was your experience in joining bounty or airdrop? on: July 10, 2018, 12:45:08 PM
Hey everyone!

I am very new to joining airdrops. I just wanna know if you had experience joining into some ICOs but did not receive your expected tokens? Or what was your first tokens that you received?

My first received token was very rewarding experience, still counting other and tracking my airdrops atm.

Can you share some of your experiences about this matter?

thank you!

My experience in participating bounties have proved to be profitable so far. Of course there are times that I experienced not being paid for my efforts. Actually if I'm not mistaken it's been three times that I did not received any tokens from the managers or the persons in charge of distributing bounty tokens. But I didn't let that experience put me down and I still continue participating. I just think that it really is part of bounty hunting just like in life where we don't get what we deserved. It's just a matter on how will you face it and move on from it. But considering all things I'm happy to be part of this community and that it helped me a lot because it gave me countless opportunities to earn and learn at the same time.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $500 to invest today on: July 10, 2018, 12:32:31 PM
What's the best way to diversify starting with $500. I am overwhelmed right now with all the coins i am interested in. I'm just not sure if i should be only focused on the top 10 or can i pick xxx coin that's ranked between #40-#150. I can say i like about 15-20 coins/tokens i just feel that's way to many for $500. I would like to put half in blue chip coin and invest in some alts with the remaining half. I was thinking put $50 into 4 atls???
Idk man, i'm trying my hardest to figure this out. lol thank you for any help.

I think for now just invest in 10 coins/tokens that you've been eyeing since from the start. Like the most stable and profitable ones such as the top 10 in cmc. Then later on you can just save another $500 for other underrated coins/tokens that you like such as those that you said in between rank 40-150. It's hard to really decide which ones to invest in with so little amount to invest. So for you to be able to invest in all of the coins that you really like the best method is to invest first in coins that you are confident in and then maybe once you get profits out of them you can use it to invest in other ones.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is the next generation of BTC? on: July 10, 2018, 08:07:58 AM
Right now, price of ETH is low, is there again rise in the ETH ?  I can see eth going above bitcoin because of combination between drop in the price of bitcoin and increase in the price of eth.

The prices of ETH and other alts as well as btc have been erratic during the past few months. It is hard to predict how the trend will go for the next days and months but one thing is consistent here and that is the rise after the fall, vice versa. So of course ETH will rise again but for now I can't say the same as it is going down as of the moment. Let's wait and see when it will bounce back again.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano threatens Ethereum! on: July 08, 2018, 01:22:15 PM
I doubt this one I don't think cardano can threaten ethereum. Just because we are experiencing some trouble with congestion and high gas price it can be threaten with any coins. Eventually, this issue will pass just like what we experienced with btc few months ago. But it won't hurt to have some alternatives that may clear up the traffic in major blockchains.
18  Other / Archival / Re: ICO without whitepaper on: July 08, 2018, 12:38:47 PM
Personally , I don't think there should be an ICO without whitepaper. The whitepaper bridges the gap between an investor and a company. Can we say a ICO without a whitepaper is a scam? Or what can you say about an ICO without whitepaper

Speaking from a not so good experience I firmly believe that a project without whitepaper is definitely a scam. I almost but thankfully did not invest a single penny on that scam project. Surprisingly they did raise an amount considering their ads and website looked like it was made by a 1st grader. If I'm not mistaken they raised less than 1Eth. Going back to the topic though, I don't want to generalize but how can the investors understand what a project is about if there's no whitepaper to read, right? Better stay safe and just go with the ones with whitepaper (almost all projects have one, anyway) but it still doesn't guarantee if they are legit.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bountyhunters, be careful with twitter accounts on: July 07, 2018, 11:25:52 AM
Now there are massive blocking of Twitter accounts.
Most often,  block accounts  when you to use mass-following. Blocks is forever!
Also do not use hashtags #ICO #Cryptocurrency etc
Be careful!

UPD
Some accounts of my friends that have been blocked marked "forever" are now unlocked
But anyway, I think we need to be careful

My brother had this experience in twitter as well. It was when one night he went on a hunt for people with "follow back/ICO/cryptocurrency" in their profiles and started following them on spree. Luckily, his account was just suspended for a certain amount of time I'm not sure if it's 24hrs or so. Twitter said that he's been suspected of being a bot account due to following unreasonably more people in such a small amount of time, like a hundred in a minute or something. We just made fun out of it though. But it's my first time reading about being blocked for using crypto-related hashtags.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a place for a cannabis-related altcoin? on: July 01, 2018, 07:16:17 PM
Oh, I never thought that there are alts related to cannabis. I got a little intrigued so I did a really fast search of cannabis in the forum and I found a few alts though I'm not sure if some were implemented or just an idea. Anyhow, I'm not sure about the future of these types of coin/token since lots of countries out there haven't legalized the use of it even for medical purposes. This is still a trivial matter especially if you are in a country where the government strongly oppose the use of this kind of drug. But then again, they cannot do anything as weeds are rampant in any part of the world no matter how tough the laws against it.
