Still have freedom of speech, but we can ensure we are setting the correct standards (How we present ourselves to the world).
That's not how freedom of speech works. Of course not ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Say what you want but do it in a polite manner, to correct standards, business like, professional. Sets a good image for future SPR entrepreneurs/investors/corporates. Was hoping on a GOOD ROI.... Maybe not then. Imho self-mod is more like a well balanced community of like minded people, nothing wrong with that. Without rules/self-mod you are only left with anarchy (the jungle). What you're looking for is a hugbox or an echo chamber and both of them have plenty of things wrong with them.
No not at all, "hugbox" lmfao. When I first heard about SPR it was to do with some BS about Microsoft(utter BS), started to read into SPR and liked the idea so bought in. Now seeing what I see, there was/is NO WAY MS would add this coin to Azure. This coin/community needs to be more professional before likes of MS join in. That banner will put them off. You are pretty much already the college kid on the picture above. I mean you're sensitivity and inability to ignore trolls are making you more annoying than a troll. In fact, I already put you on Ignore a few days ago and only decided respond now because your posts were quoted...
lmao , to be in my 20's again....... No f**king way!!! When you were at college, I was serving my country. And proud of it! I have no problems with Abou and what he's said so far, it's the meaning of the banner! That has nothing to do with a troll And, please do KEEP on ignoring me, your free to do so after all. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Don't respond back, cheers ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

I think it would be a good idea, protecting the image/brand from being destroyed/undermined by idiots. Still have freedom of speech, but we can ensure we are setting the correct standards (How we present ourselves to the world). Don't have to scroll through the whole thread for answer, all tutorial are easy to find/maintain on our own forum. We can still keep this 1 alive, but we should use the official forum more It would just look more professional imho. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) History repeats itself. Spreadcoin was in the exact same situation about a year ago, when the old thread had a very serious never ending troll infection. (back when mr.spread was still around) And some people also openly advocated for a self moderated thread, someone even started one that ran in parallel with the original one for a few days. Those were the cringeworthy days. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I was one of the louder voices back then, arguing against a self-moderated thread, and bringing people back together, instead of being scattered and divided. Yes, we should absolutely use our own forum more, but we should also keep this thread here alive too. I love this thread, with all its weirdness and freedom. Self-moderation is like thought control. Freedom of speech exists for offending opinions too. If anything, it helps to reveal who among us can be trusted or not. The community forum http://spreadcointalk.org would do exactly that "bringing people back together, instead of being scattered and divided." I'm not saying stopping this thread (the jungle), I can see the appeal to a point. But, if the overall goal of this community is to succeed as a top10coin in the work place, then it needs to grow a healthy community. I don't believe this can be done here, it's a jungle. When this coin goes big, and it will, organisation are going to come and look at what SPR is about. Do you want them to find the "Jungle" or a well defined community, mature, with a good flow of information that is easy to find and digest, instead of having to trawl through 100's of post, most of which are little help? Imho self-mod is more like a well balanced community of like minded people, nothing wrong with that. Without rules/self-mod you are only left with anarchy (the jungle). No big players, say MS, will entertain us if we have a free for all with the "ISIS brand" popping up all the time (that goes for all coins actually). We do need to control our "Brand" for our future image. I understand "FoS" and that can be had as long as basic forum etiquette is acted upon, respect for all, it works both ways that one. Remove the bloody flag and tag. Taken from another forum that I use ( xrpchat.com), some basic etiquette, short and simple to follow. It does work, see for yourselves: It should go without saying that we all want a forum that encourages free debate and healthy discussion. However there are lines that must be drawn. XRPchat will not accept: flaming or insulting other members excessive swearing doxxing of ANY kind (i.e posting personally identifiable information) disrespect towards forum users, Ripple employees or others in general Suggesting or attempting to get other users to make their secret key public Lets keep things positive and on topic, even if its criticism.

Are we considering switching to a self-moderated thread?
No we aren't. When you have an ugly pimple in your face, do you decapitate yourself? Ofcourse not... we don't need a new head/thread, we need some form of abrasive acid to treat the pimple. We'll figure something out... I'll ask the doctor... They will be back quickly...Mmmh, comme je l'avais dit, c'est un coup monté. Now, the real waves are coming. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) What you don't get is that you fell to a US (yes the United States) scheme to overthrow (as in make war) the Syrian (Iranian aso.) government. ISIS is a war machine CREATED to do the dirty job. And you dumb faggot fell for it. You are a puppet (like cattle) to the puppet masters (Zionists). Spot on.

Are we talking sovereign state flag or terrorist flag? This flag/banner is a calling, it doesn't represent a nations people, it represents an extreme ideology. Big difference. I don't cut off heads/rape/kill gays etc etc for my flag. Make it as your avatar - join the army! Decentralize everything! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs019.radikal.ru%2Fi628%2F1601%2Ff4%2Fd9ef5b9bea14.png&t=663&c=MftCmAEUNrSeBA) WRONG IMAGE, NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS, AND THE DEV'S SHOULD CARE. WE SHOULD ALL CARE. Just remove the avatar, I don't care what you all believe in. It's upto you. But for the image of SPR keep your ideologies out of public view. I don't see why that is a problem ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

You're losing your shit over a stupid flag and doing so you're giving it power. It's basically the equivalent of feeding the trolls but more childish imo.
Exactly. Too ignore a "Stupid flag" is to give it power. To loose one's "Shit" as you put it, is to stand up to it. Or, you could just cower. Ask the Jews what they'd do differently this time, about a "Stupid flag"? And as for a senior Dev to agree with name calling of an investor is shameful and unprofessional. PERIOD! Image is EVERYTHING, and to be seen to do nothing about a "Stupid flag" that holds so much terror. Shame on you all. I would expect the security services have already checked us all out....... Because of that "Stupid flag". Thanks.

"It's just un coup de théâtre to get cheap coins" No, just what that flag stands for.
"You're losing your shit over a stupid flag and doing so you're giving it power." It's not a stupid flag, it has meaning. Ask those who have REALLY suffered from this ideology, see if they think it's just a "Stupid flag". And belittling me because I care, telling me to stop talking about it, goes against the ETHOS of SPR decentralised.

What the hell is going on here? People leaving because someone has an avatar they don't like? I mean seriously? It's just a useless tiny image. Who cares if it represents a bunch of twisted shitheads? You really going to give that small pic so much respect that you rather forget about Spreadcoin?
I'm sorry but that's fucking stupid. Grow a pair and Ignore the guy.
It's just a useless TINY image.... I'm STUPID? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) WTF Oh, I did grow a pair and finally said something about the message it sends, which isn't in line with the ethos of this community. No one wants to be associated or defending that stuff, including you. It's BAD for what SPR stands for. "Ignore the guy" why? I have a fair point as I have invested.

no good morality without religion ; so there is that religion which gives the state a firm and lasting support
" No society can exist without morality ; there is no true morality without religion ; thus, only religion can give a firm and durable support to the state. " Napoléon More like, religion is the control tool FOR the state.

If a symbol offends you, you are always free to block/ban the user. That's internet rule nr. 1.
That's fine, until new potential investor are reading through the thread. This could/has put them off. What if Apple changed their logo to something similar, out of business over night, infact they would've never become anything in the first place. This really doesn't look good as an image, and image sells. Question to all, would you be offended if I had an avatar as a "Nazi swastika" or "KKK emblem" or "National Front" ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ?? Just swap it for the spreadcoin or Ripple logo ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Theymos, the big administrator, said that this flag isn't a problem. So, don't spend your time, guys, with this picture and ignore me if you want. Focus on servicenodes. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Actually it is a problem and here's why. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) This coin is meant to be decentralised. Right? That flag doesn't represent decentralised, more like a " totalitarian regime". This goes against EVERYTHING this coin represents and as an investor this is really BAD for the image. We have already lost some support because of this and this will continue until the flag is removed. Just put a spreadcoin logo, why not? If ISIS ruled the world do you think they would allow cryptos and the right to have an opinion different to theirs? Justifie the flag, I shouldn't have to ignore you. Edit: "Focus on servicenodes. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) " .......... Where? Change the "Flag" release the "Servicenode" then we can move on

Like Titanic scene, if you jump, I jump.
But me, I'm still here with georgem.
@georgem really, with that repugnant flag/ideology on display? ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) Distance yourself fast! Who are you to say who gets to support georgem and his project? I welcome everyone here. Doesn't matter what they believe in, be it an ideology or something else. FUCKING TERRORIST SUPPORTER Let georgem tell us all of his opinion on the terrorists ISIS/ISIL and their actions around the world.... Killing , raping, beheading WTF. I just don't like hating people solely based on their opinions. I judge actions not opinions. Good to hear that, then you stand against ISIS and there supporters? As you quite adequately put it "I judge actions not opinions" BEHEADING Christians because of their belief is a Fucking extreme action!!!
