1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.5d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: February 03, 2018, 09:02:21 PM
im also a little confused about the counts of shares submitted.

for about 225MH/s
claymore/phoenix reports submitting shares at a rate of about 78-80 shares/hr
but nanopool is seeing about 2x that number of shares at about 170 shares/hr

yet still seeing and calculating the same hashrate. can anyone explain this discrepancy?

Nanopool ETH share difficulty temporary increased x2. So each submitted share is  now worth about double.

Claymore Miner - Crashes at Create GPU Buffer

Hello there,

I am using Claymore's Dual Miner V10.5 to mine Ethereum. I am using the ETH only mining mode. Whenever I run the start.bat error, my computer hangs and then crashes after this step: "Create GPU Buffer for GPU2"

Here are my specs:
1x Sapphire RX470 4GB Mining Edition
1x Asus Duo RX580 8GB
1x Asus STRIX RX580 8GB
Intel Celeron G3930
4GB Corsair Value Select DDR4 2133Mhz
MSI Z270 Gaming Plus
Corsair HX1200
Corsair ForceLE 120GB

Occasionally, after about 10 computer restarts, I can get the Miner to run successfully and pull 76Mh/s. But this only rarely happens.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Delete Afterburner and use latest AMD driver if its windows 10 1709 build. Or roll back to 1704 and shut off updates.

confirmed! thank you very much!! pm your wallet address, I will send bitcoins after nicehash pay me!  Smiley

I sent you my wallet address, I applied enough hash power that you should get a payment this Friday.

Thats Awesome Suprnurd, wish more people were like that. I too know how it is to be stuck with a partial payment, very frustrating.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Winter is coming. on: October 27, 2017, 12:00:31 PM
Absolutely use the heat to help supplement the home heating if you already have rigs. Why on earth would anybody vent the heat to the outside during the winter? If your rigs are in a room by themselves, just open the door and put a box fan to blow the warm air out. But remember warm air rises and cold air sinks, so its best to elevate the fan off of the ground to allow for better cold air flow into the mining room. If you can get the fan near the top of the doorway, that would be the perfect scenario.

Mine are in the old theater room turned mining room that is in the basement, I close off all ducts in the basement and let the rigs heat the basement and most of the time its still too warm for me and have a window cracked. This year I'm thinking about installing ducting from the mining room into the furnace ducting to help circulate the warm air. The furnace is right on the other side of the wall from the mining room so it shouldn't be too hard. 1 duct near the top of the wall for the hot air and another at the bottom for the cold air return. I'm thinking out loud now: split the cold air return from the house and run it to the bottom vent in the mining room, install damper to shut house cold air off after the split. Vent at top of room goes back into the house cold air that is the inlet (suction) for the furnace blower.
Something like:

   | |
   | | Cold air return from house
   | |

   [ ]___
[  ___ "T" cold air into mining room vent at floor level
   [ ]

   {\} Damper closed

   [ ]___
[  ___ "T" Hot air from mining room vent at ceiling level
   [ ]

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Push pull or both for air vent for mining room on: October 18, 2017, 06:45:14 PM
You always want to pull air out, that is an "exhaust fan" and will always make for better circulation. When the fan is pulling air out of a space, it is creating a vacuum and will allow air to be sucked in (from somewhere, more later). Pushing air in will only pressurize the space not allowing the hot air to evacuate the space as quickly thus slowly heating up the space that you are trying to cool.

You also don’t want the intake and exhaust right next to each other as it will just suck the hot air right back in and pull the cold air right back out. If the intake and exhaust are going to be in the same window, install some type of divider between the 2 that extends at least a foot.  In a perfect world you would want 1 intake fan and 1 exhaust fan in 2 different areas of the room. But if you only have 1 fan then blow the air out and open a window that is close for fresh air. Even just a crack will help. If you don’t you will be sucking air from the main house, even with the door closed (unless it’s a sealed exterior door), and in the winter time you will just be blowing wasted gas heated air outside. Or do like I do in the winter time and reconfigure the fans and let your rigs heat your basement thus helping to heat the rest of the house.

To get back to the op question, 1 blowing in and 1 blowing out and the rig somewhat close to the exhaust fan. Or 2 blowing out if there is another window you can open to allow air flow. Whatever way you do it, you always need the air that is being sucked out to be replaced with the same amount of air that is being sucked in from somewhere, via the main house or a window. Quick and simple example without going into formulas and such: 1 gallon of air being sucked out needs 1 gallon of air being brought in, that’s a 1:1 ratio. 1 gallon being sucked out and .5 gallon coming in = 1:.5, not very efficient. 1:2= over kill but way better than the last.

Can you set clock & voltage in claymore with these drivers?

check the memory log

2100 to 1000

140W power draw??? Dude, thats way beyond 200W@the wall.

back to old driver. temp & power & hashrate

Hello,

i the same problem, which the old driver use?

Thank you

I had same problem with memory going from 2200 to 1000, seems the the LCD TV I was hooked up to was causing the problem. It was also crashing the pc, switched to old monitor with lower resolution and solve the problem.

Have you tried the patch?
