1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I’ve misplaced my Eth on: June 23, 2018, 06:56:27 AM
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have the addresses I sent them to. I’ll post them tomorrow if it will help. Both were sent in the same day so I think they will both have been sent to the same exchange. I’ve checked binance as I thought it was the most likely, but I have no transaction history on that day.
You can try other well known exchanges like cryptopia, Okex, hitbtc.com and gdax.

Here is the other list of exchanges https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets

Also, check your email and maybe you can find the exchange site in your email inbox.

I’ve checked my emails, but no luck unfortunately. I think I’ll have to go through each of the exchanges submitting password requests and hoping I get lucky.

Ok, so I feel like a bit of an idiot at the minute, hoping someone can help or give some suggestions.

In January I split my split my btc and sent the btg and bcc I had to my trezor. I wasn’t interested in these and at that time btc was still pretty high and I thought eth would be a better investment.

I can see the transactions going into my trezor and then back out again.

The problem is, I don’t know where I sent them. I do have a memory of doing the exchange. I also updated Blockfolio to get rid of my btg and bcc and add the eth.

I thought I would have sent them to my trezor, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

I’ve tried checking my browsing history, but had no luck as it’s too far back to show enough details to show what sites I visited that day.

Hopefully someone can help, I’ll tip anyone that does.

Cheers.

Sorted it.
5  Economy / Lending / Waves on: October 21, 2017, 07:34:59 AM
Hi, could anyone send 0.03 waves to my address?

I’ve put Etheruem in my account but it won’t let me exchange without this and the jumpstart isn’t working for me.

Many thanks
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any tax obligation to cash out BTC in the UK on: August 08, 2017, 09:10:10 PM
Possibly, tax obligations are explained here

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/revenue-and-customs-brief-9-2014-bitcoin-and-other-cryptocurrencies/revenue-and-customs-brief-9-2014-bitcoin-and-other-cryptocurrencies

How much are you thinking on cashing out? Unless it's serious money, you're unlikely to be found out. I think you could argue that profits have been speculative too, meaning it would be be similar to a gambling win.

Always a pleasure.

9  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.3BTC for 50GBP ono on: April 15, 2015, 01:29:38 PM
Yeah, sounds good, you have a deal.  I won't be in until around 8 tonight though.

How do you want to do it?
10  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.3BTC for 50GBP ono on: April 15, 2015, 10:58:29 AM
I'll give you £40?

Poker is gambling but one of the only games where you can put the odds in your favour.

It doesn't take a lot of reading and practice to become an adequate break even player. Put in more hours and you can make some real money. I know someone who has quit his job and regularly earns more than I do from my relatively well paid full time job.

Saying this, if you do have a gambling problem it's not the best advice. Playing the game with a gambler's mindset will not make you money, you have to play smart and not impulsively. Even at low stakes there are some good players but also a lot of bad - they are where the money is. Get a hud and it's easy to spot the difference.

12  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.13BTC for 30GBP UKBT on: October 11, 2014, 11:48:40 AM
I'll take it at £26 if still available. I'm at work until 6 though, so can't do anything until later.

play poker instead of casino games

Great idea. Wonder why I didn't think of that.  Wink

If you have to gamble, take up poker.

A game of skill with no house edge. Read some books, play low stakes and you can actually make money consistently.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Post card about MtGox from Japenese court on: July 01, 2014, 09:27:18 PM
I got one today, I was quite intrigued to have a postcard from Japan. Unfortunately nothing good,  I didn't even have funds in there, just signed up when I got into Bitcoin.

Hey if these hugs are genuine, then surely it's better than nothing? I wonder how many I'll get for my lost amount. I'd be happy with 15. They'd have to be some pretty goddamn good hugs though.

I've filled it in and I agree with previous comments about acquiring Bitcoin.

Definitely not TF. I hoped the guy taking over the account would have a little more fun with it, but never mind.

The thought had crossed my mind. Guess he's just very patient  Roll Eyes

Can almost see people starting to trade their winnings but that would require a lot of trust on the winners honoring the give away if John logs in and pays off a list.

I'm winner number 7. I would like to sell my raffle ticket for 0.5 BTC. You will receive 1 BTC if John K. comes back after his long hiatus. Please post publicly if you're interested and use my address on the official raffle thread. I will inform Scrat to replace/update the winners list with your address. Thanks!
0.25 BTC my final offer. This is more than generous. Don't miss this chance to profit!  Grin

The way this is dragging out, I wouldn't offer 0.1. I hope you get something though.

Sorry for all those that haven't been paid but I find it strange we don't have all the winners complaining. It's  been pretty quiet considering. Are people resigned to the fact it's not happening or is there something more amiss?
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many Trusted Escrows are out there? on: April 12, 2014, 07:29:06 PM
I've used Maidak too, only for a small amount but I'd use again. Great communication and very quick.
