There is a lot of shady things going on with Usa citizens not being able to get there coins on the exchange. So where are the coins and will they return them.?

It is not shady. They cleared beforehand that they will not give service to US residents.
It is the only way they can remain open.
There is no point to argue that.

They also give a fair option (the 50% withdraw without question before 15th September) without questions.
Any US residents should have accepted it.
I know that it sucks. But, again, they cannot deal with US anymore.

16+ hours and my ETH deposit still isn't credited.
  Sad

what are fiduciary withdraws?

(also, my ltc withdraw last night went fine...)

Global market is down 2-4%
wex was inflated 10% due to the low liquidity...
Maybe prices are simply re tracing to proper values.
It'd be a good sign though.

But what is the reason for the sudden price drop?

Surely the exchange must be manipulating the prices.

No Idea, but I'm noticing that volumes are almost back at btc-e standard.
12.000 ltc, 600 btc in a single candle.
Past days btc candles were around 30 btc, and ltc rarely over 1000.

has anyone encounter this message when logged in "Error: No permission"
and the inability to to do anything including logging out ??

no, i'm logged right now

4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: October 03, 2017, 08:21:06 PM
So why the sudden dump in all the crypto prices on WEX over the last few hours?

I see the same dump on bitfinex (ltc) and bitstamp (btc).
am I missing something?

I am talking about 12-14% across the board against USD.

Guys, what's your plan about the tokens?
Hold, trading, selloff to reduce losses.
If I am not mistaken, they cannot be traded above their rightful value ( 1btc=1btctoken ) or, something like, WEX will redeem tokes at max their rightful value 1:1

The last update solve all your questions Smiley

Dear Btc-e users!

Let's refresh the list of main questions:

The launch date of the new platform has changed - 15.09.2017!

Is verification of btc-e users necessary on a new platform?
Users can conduct the following operations without verification - trading on all pairs, withdrawal and deposit of funds through codes of the new platform (btc-e code analogue) and also deposit and withdrawal of coins.

Why do I need a verification?
Verification is needed for those users, who need to withdraw or deposit fiat funds through wire transfer, sepa or other payment systems, where identity check is mandatory.

Can I withdraw my funds from the account at the day of the launch of the new platform?
Yes.
After the launch of the platform you will be able to find info about main ways of withdrawal on your account. We have widened the net of our partners and agents. If you want to become our partner or agent (in your city or country), then write a ticket to the partners section https://wex.kayako.com/.
Also new ways of fiat withdrawal and deposit will be available (RF, Ukraine, RB, Kazakhstan, Europe, Asia - any bank).

Can I withdraw my coins from the account at the day of the launch of the new platform?
Yes.

“ Please give us a specific answer about fiat. If I had all my funds in USD in my account, will I have the same funds + tokens on my new account, or coins + tokens?”

At the day of the launch of the new platform part of funds will be converted to tokens. There will be no conversion of fiat to coins. Recalculation will be made with a higher ratio than 55/45.

What will be the limits for fiat and coins withdrawal?
All data about limits will be available on 15.09.2017.

What accounts must be necessarily authorized?
Accounts that were blocked before 25.07.2017 (when you enter the website you see a message “Your account has been blocked. Please contact the support”).
Accounts for which an email change is necessary.
Accounts where 2fa must be removed.
Accounts where white IPs list must be deleted.

I took the 55% deal. I have no regrets. It was the best decision I could make with the information given at the time (especially if you are from the US). I hope everything goes well for the rest on the 15th. It will be a great comeback indeed.

If you are in the US you made the right call.
If I were in the US I'd have done the same.
BTC-e will deny access to US residents. Obviously, someone can use a vpn... but If the new management will be forced to do more controls...
(i.e. checking all the vpn)... an US resident could still find his account blocked, pending verification.
A verification that he will not able to provide.
Therefore, right choice bro Smiley

Since I'm not in EU, I am basically gambling... hoping that BTCe will deliver Cheesy
But I know it's a gamble.
9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 07, 2017, 04:25:17 PM
And hope for the best.

Nonetheless, the official update on the site is quite understandable.
it solves many doubts!
As long we do not deposit or withdraw fiat... no verification required.
Meaning that. If you have a FIAT balance, you can convert it in coins on the trading platform... and withdraw coins.

If true, it's nice!
And if they will deliver, I pity the one that took the 55% deal O_O

Quote
What do I need a verification for?
If you plan to deposit and withdraw fiat, the verification in required.

Will I have to pass the verification on the new platform to withdraw coins?
No.

Will I have to pass the verification to start trading on the platfrom?
If you deposit coins to the account on the new platform, then you should not. If you deposit Fiat, you should.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 07, 2017, 04:16:08 PM
and most important question.
if a balance has both coins and fiat?
it will explode?

Cheesy

Due to their poor English, we have no way to know what will actually happen on 15th.
We just have to wait and see Smiley

I'm curious as to why people are doing the "gimme 55% now and screw the rest" refund. Isn't waiting 2 weeks worth 45% of your funds? (or maybe it's just because I have a lot of funds on there that I find it a bad option)

The coins have gone so much up in price since the btc-e shutdown, people in coins dont have much to lose, they still make some money despite the 45% loss. But its odd that they're not willing to wait 2 weeks to make much more money.

Illicit activities that cannot provide verification
US users that will not be able to provide verification

Smiley
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 04, 2017, 01:29:55 PM
i just received my litecoins from btc-e, which i am very happy with. is it really coincidence that now litecoin has tanked big time they sent out the coins? i don't think so, but considering that i bought my litecoins below $10, after this dump and losing the other 45% i am still in the profits. i hope for everyone else that btc-e ends up relaunching in a good manner so they can refund people properly. this chapter is closed for me.

Yeah price tanked because they are selling our 45% before releasing the 55% to us, ensuring liquidity and a good price for them. Won't ever be using them again.... Tossers!!

top 10 coins tanked.
Also coins not in BTCe.
It is a natural correction after ATH...
it happens ALL the times after every major high.

Also, people that are receiving coins from btce, are probably selling right now.
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 04, 2017, 12:49:01 PM
I got my coins just now, a ltitle over 24hrs after confirming withdrawal.

Shitty way to do it, take 55% now and f##k off or leave them on our shitty exchange and wait for a miracle...

Still at least they did what they said they would on the latest update, not quite what they originally promised though is it....

Of course the LTC price plummeted down which is a bit of a shit...

If they have delivered as promised... there is a really good change that everything will be fine 15th sept Smiley
Let's hope for the best.
15  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 02, 2017, 09:17:36 PM
we can withdraw only selected coins ?

yes.

Btw, funny and messy thing.
They did not give any information about the conditions that we will find on sept 15th.
Really shady Smiley
we will get more than 55%? but how much? 56%? Cheesy
It will require verification to withdraw?
How can someone properly decide if he do not know all the conditions?
If someone speaks russian, please make some noise on the russian topic.

16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New BTC-e Holding Company -> Bitfinex? on: September 02, 2017, 01:04:58 PM
I got to thinking as to who is behind the btc-e takeover now that the US has stomped on it. Lets look at the evidence:

BTC-e itself.
Under another shell company.
That's the reason it has been so fucking fast. They have signed the new documents themselves.
No other company would have move a step before the trial.

Btw that's the reason shell companies are for Smiley
Anther option?
www.xbtce.com/

Assuming it's a shell company of btc-e, as many users always suspected Smiley
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 02, 2017, 12:53:34 PM
I read it if you withdraw the 55%, you accept the 45% as tokens (not you lose it).
yep same here. (debt obligations are abandoned  TO  the remaining 45% of funds in the form of tokens.)
Not debt obligation tokens are abandoned.

You know... you could be right!
Boys their English is terrible, especially considering this very tense situation.
18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 02, 2017, 02:11:37 AM
As long as I could trade and withdrawal, even minimal amounts in crypto only, I'd be fine with that! (Using VPN of course). We just need to know what exactly unverified accounts will be able to do.

To be honest, they only talked about trading for unverified users. No mention to withdraws.
But there is no point in cracking our heads, some hours and with hope we will know Smiley

I am happy to give out may name, address, phone for verification. What I am unhappy about is giving out details that could be used in a fraud, eg. a photo of your license with signature on it etc. same as I would be unhappy about giving someone my finger prints or DNA. At some point the information you give out is enough for someone to pretend they are you and commit fraud.

erk is quite simple...
give your ID, then go to your local police and denounce that your ID as been stolen in a digital leak with a compromised database.
They will mark your current ID as stolen (therefore you will be ok regarding frauds) and they will issue a new ID with a different number.
Nonetheless, bitstamp also allows watermarking ID photos.
They could be useful with BTC-e too.

19  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 02, 2017, 01:36:21 AM
We won't have the luxury of verification if they are not going to support us customers.

US customers will not be supported. It was stated before. It is also in the FAQ.
They cannot allow US users, they have no way to adopt US regulations for a legit service.
Please also note that all the other major exchanges are gradually dropping out US users for the same reasons.

In conclusion: an US user will be probably able to login with a vpn.
A do some kind of activity, with an unverified account.
But he/she will not be able to send documents and be verified.
What kind of activity an unverified user will be able to perform?
Trading (as stated before)... and who knows.

Btw... BTC is hitting 5000 usd
and LTC 92 usd.
Crazy days.

20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 01, 2017, 09:13:23 PM
I like that there are options to get out while the getting is good. 15 days is a long time and for those in the US this might be the only chance to get at least some part of their holdings.

I like there's an option but I'm not sure what option I would take right now.

1. Get it all tomorrow and lose 45%
2. Wait till the 15th and possibly not be able to verify and loose everything. Or something happens between now and then which gets them shut down again.

I think the safest choice for those in the US is to take it out 55% tomorrow and be done with it. The hard part is loosing almost half of your coins.... decisions... decisions...

Yep, US users should (must!) take the tomorrow deal.
99.9% chance that the new site will block US residents... and even if you can use a vpn, you cannot pass the verification.
