1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Warning! your computer is infected call this number (Scam) on: March 16, 2020, 02:28:34 AM

When your computer gets this warning message, don't you ever call that number for they will let you install some apps and access your computer to steal everything inside, passwords, private keys, and any other important things.

When I was watching some youtube videos, I see some videos pertaining to this kind of scam where people randomly get this warning message (Warning! your computer is infected call this number) as if it's true. newbies who are not familiar with this kind of fraud will be fooled with this message as I've seen in the video, there are lots of people who actually fell to this scam. when they start to call the number on the screen, the scammers will take their moves and manipulate the victim's computer to make them believe that there was something wrong with their computer and to be able to fix that, they need to pay a 1-time fee.

The truth is, your computer is infected with some kind of malware that the scammers have made and you can actually remove it without paying.
there are a lots of ways to remove the malware successfully and one of them is the step by step on this site:

The other thing is, you need to install some trusted anti-virus to prevent this kind of malware from entering your computer.
If you want to see some videos where these scammers got busted, you can see it here:

Let's hear what our veterans' members say about this fraud and some tips from them would help us a lot.

I saw something similar. Pretty insane that YouTube seems to allow videos and ads linking to scams like these.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / [BOUNTY] Need Solidity smart contract audited - offering Ether on: February 04, 2018, 11:19:19 AM
This is for Solidity experts only. I have developed a game that's now deployed on the mainnet and am looking for someone to go over the code and check for critical vulnerabilities. The smart contract code is 400 lines long and reasonably straightforward, but will definitely take several hours to go over and understand thoroughly. If this is something you can do please PM me. At this stage I'm not announcing the game, so am not pasting the link here. Thanks!

3  Economy / Service Announcements / Crypto Speech - Submit messages to the Ethereum blockchain on: July 31, 2017, 08:42:34 AM
Just finished my first (super basic) dApp - http://CryptoSpeech.com allows you to submit and store a message (up to 128 characters) in the Ethereum blockchain that will be stored forever. All messages show the address of the user who submitted the message and the time it was submitted. In it's current form, it's kind of like a very primitive version of Twitter on the blockchain. Give it a try Smiley

If you're interested in learning more about how the site works, see http://cryptospeech.com/how-it-works.html which has the Solidity contract code and some examples of how Web3 is used to call/execute functions. There are both Ropsten test network and Mainnet versions of the site, so if you're using MetaMask you can select a different network and it'll load that version.
