That was not caused by retail holders, not at all. The news triggers a fast sell-off which triggers stop orders which sends the price tumbling, and that's why it recovered so fast because it wasn't a real dip. Learn how the order book works and reacts to the news or don't do this stuff.

Staking is what you do if your a holder.  The only thing that is bad about staking is if you want to panic sell.  Some of them have un bonding periods.  But one of the other comments here said something like what if you bought at 1.00 and staked it and now its at .50  so true you are down half your investment.   But your still earning interest and when the market recovers then it goes back to a dollar and you have earned more from staking.  For me if I bought at a dollar and it goes to 50 cents.  Then I just buy more and stake that as well.

When I've bought some big amount of DOTs in July 2021 for $12 I have never expected that 3 months later I will be selling them for $40... A week ago once again I've bought some DOTs for $12.5 and I'm pretty sure there is no need to wait 2 years for substantial growth...

Honestly, 3 to 6 months it may be close. Last time RSIs were this low Bitcoin made a run from current levels to 70k in that amount of time. It could happen again. But who actually knows. People saying no don't believe in the project and just want fud promoted, think for yourself, don't be a sheep.

Nft will be future of crypto like Defi. I  always look for rare and valuable assets. For example, I am waiting for tomorrow's Death Merchant dropping on Terra Virtua because  it's gonna be limited quantity, and the common tier has been removed to reduce variants. Etherium gas fee is very high . i wonder still people paying high fee in opensea to mint NFT. Solono and matic is goid competitor. I would recommend everyone thinking about elsewhere from ETH. this summer will be finished mining’s on ETH so I believe gas fee will really increase after this.
