1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: January 05, 2018, 07:56:43 AM
Whats the reason for the sudden pump, the price is up to 4k sat and may be getting close to ICO price in few hours with the current volume of 500 BTC.

It looks like people are accumulating coins before the next surge of the market. Today I've seen quite big buy orders going through on Binance, probably some whales who are aware of the potential of the coin this year and want to fill their bags even more. Imho the coin could reach 1$ before the end of this month, it is so undervalued currently. I'm very excited about that because SONM deserves a lot more recognition, it's an awesome project with an awesome team. One of the big player of 2018 for sure. I'm wondering if it will dip or not, I hope so cause I would like to buy more coins before the next pump. Anyway I'm glad to finally see a decent price increase, what a wonderful time to be alive ! Smiley

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Florincoin. The monster you haven't heard of. Time to buy. on: August 30, 2017, 06:59:37 PM
Real talk: you may need to hold this coin for months before you see the x10-x20.

Yes, FLO has been a live blockchain since mid 2013. Yes, Alexandria has been in public development since at least mid 2014. Man that sounds ancient in crypto land, doesn't it? They must've been blown past by now by other competitors, right? Turns out nope. I've followed Alexandria and the FLO token very closely since late 2014, here's why I'm still bullish and holding for years:

1) Development has been consistent. There has never been a single period in the past 3 years that I've wondered, "where did ___ go?", "is this thing dead?" If you ask for updates, if you look for the devs - you will find them. They will talk to you. You can see their work.

2) They do not pump or try to be opportunistic with the market with their insider power. Ever. This project has been active through multiple altcoin bubbles, the dev team has never done anything to purposefully take advantage of the market to turn profit, their demeanor has always been the same. They've never lied, nor given unrealistic expectations, nor spent time on fancy infographics instead of code, etc. Arguably this is a bad thing, and they will need to improve a bit on the marketing side of things once they do go fully live, but I'm listing it here because it's a huge reason I have so much confidence that they're in this for the product, and the product comes before profit with these people.

3) Blocktech (the people building Alexandria) started out just using FLO for its features (tx messages) - they had no connection to the FLO team afaik. Over time, the FLO dev team and the Alexandria team have steadily grown closer together and are basically one big happy family these days, collaborating and working together on the whole ecosystem. Watching this evolution over the years has contributed to my confidence that this team is full of workers focused on producing a real product.

4) The product is real. It is tangible. You can use it right now in a sort of alpha/beta state. You can go talk to the devs and easily get invited to help them test new features or even contribute to the project directly. Vaporware is a huge problem in crypto projects - Alexandria is not vapor, and incremental development has been obvious every step of the way.

5) Lack of serious competition. LBRY is the only project that I've seen that has a tangible, usable product which is doing something similar to Alexandria. Every other project claiming to do the same things as Alexandria or LBRY is so far nothing but words and claims. So there are only two real ponies in this race, and this is a discussion for another time but the economics of LBRY's LBC token are not nearly as attractive of an investment as FLO. I do not have nearly the same familiarity/access to the LBRY dev team as I do Alexandria/FLO, so I cannot comment on the development side of things for LBRY. Obviously I do hold some LBC as well.

6) Last I heard, they're going to migrate away from IPFS eventually and use an incentivized storage solution, ie something like FileCoin or Sia. No idea on timeline, but incentivizing the storage part of their back-end will take this to another level.

7) Imogen Heap has published content on it. Ok this is rather minor and old news, but it's pretty neat that major artists are experimenting with it! She published stuff in 2015 and had considered releasing an album on it. She published again a few months ago so she's still using it.

... wrap this all up for consideration and then notice that...

8 ) The marketcap is insanely low. Vaporware projects dwarf this thing. No place to go but up, considering everything above. Easiest fucking hold ever.

Yes I am a FLO whale. Duh. Shit was 200-400 satoshi for months at one point. It was solo mineable for years and I had an A1 ASIC. Yes I will get rich(er) if you guys all agree with my points and buy in. Doesn't make any of it less true, this is already in profit for me and I'm already financially independent - which was achieved by altcoin investments over the past 4 years, by the way. My FLO makes up ~3% of my total crypto worth. Make up your own mind if this is just shilling. Keep in mind I said you will need to wait probably months for huge gains, and cheers to those that also see the potential.

What a wonderful post, we need more people like you on the forum. It's been years that I'm reading Bitcointalk (even though I decided to create an account only recently) and I'm tired of all the lazy people out there who don't do the research themselves and expect people to tell them everything without any effort. Not to mention all the people who FUD, who are constantly negative and/or who are completely dumb (kinda like the one, few messages above, who answered aggressively to your post). Don't bother these guys, they are a waste of time and don't deserve to be answered. You are already too kind by giving so much infos for the new investors. Smiley

Special thanks to the OP also, I was looking at FlorinCoin since some times already, still thinking about when would be the perfect time to invest and your post made me take my final decision. Already made x2 in no time but I'm in for the very long term with this one. You are one of the investors I like to follow, because your calls are always very interesting, and it's always nice to have people to rely on to not miss out awesome opportunities. Keep up the good work, it always pays off ! Smiley

I'm pretty confident one day people will realize everything you guys did for the community at its true value. Wink
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUNYR - Decentralized World Knowledge Base on Ethereum - Completed! on: August 12, 2017, 01:21:33 PM
Do you guys realize that when Yunbi will open the market today in few hours to trade Lunyr the price will rise to at least 30$ and will never come back lower ? If you have some I suggest you to hold and if you plan to buy I suggest you to do it now otherwise you may regret it later. I'm still filling my bag with more cheap LUN, see you on Jupiter ! Cool

wtf just happened, I was gonna buy 10 minutes ago  for 475 but had sudden urge to go pee... wtf.  Huh  Wallet??

In my opinion it's just a PnD group who joined the party, the price should stabilize again after that. Smiley

They progress quite stably -- five lines of meaningless code was added successfully in the past 148 hours.

I believe you have invested a lot into the project despite your need to always FUD to buy more cheap coins. Always a pleasure to see you here troll !  Roll Eyes

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX [ICO] end of June: making Blockchain assets spendable on: August 11, 2017, 08:06:17 PM
I think that this coin will make it to $10 by mid next week so now is the best chance to get in. Take a look at the charts, support levels and fib retrace and you will see the same. I look at 10X being at least a $30 coin by years end. HODL or buy, simple as that!  Grin Cheesy Wink Smiley

Tenx reached over $5 before pullback. $10 next week is achievable. Got in at $.5-.7 so now just wait for cha Ching

I definitely see it at 10-15$ next week yes or even before. Keep up the good work guys and hold strongly, TenX is a future giant ! Cheesy
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: August 11, 2017, 05:11:50 PM
its everywhere the same on cryptocurrency coins, people are complaining everytime when they think they loose, go to nasdaq or other exchange let see if you can make money like this, when you are not good in making money whit crypto it dont mean that coin is bad, your tactic is bad.
dont daytrade, put money that you can afford to loose, and come back in 3 monts and watch, if you can daytrade you must be ready to loose.
EVery time the same, they loose money and blaming the coin, its so childish

They are two different things. One is complaining about the lack of responsibility of the developers and the other is complaining about a market reaction.

Sometimes it's hard to respect the deadlines in software development, a lot of things can go wrong and have to be fixed before the release of a final product. It happens even to the biggest companies in the world. So far they have delivered everything they have promised. So you have to decide, either you believe they are scammers and will never deliver the wallet, you then will probably want to sell your coins asap to those who will be more than happy to buy them at cheap price, either you accept as true what I just stated and you wait and hold even if it takes a bit more time. I'm sure they are well aware that it is bad advertising to not deliver the things in the right time and I'm sure they are sorry for that. But at the end, only the result will count. In few months/years no one will mind that they missed few deadlines as long as the product is as good or better than what was promised initially. Personally I believe they're working hard to deliver everything they've promised and only the long term holders will be rewarded accordingly. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm willing to take the risk. Do your choice now. Smiley

I'll tell you what happened to me.
I was holding CFI for a long time at 3k sat and decided to sell to buy SAFEX in the expectation that they would release the wallet.
I sold CFI for 3k sat and bought SAFEX for 600 sat. Look at CFI now and see where Safe Exchange Coin is.

Yes, of course, I'm very pissed. I'm really pissed because if it were not for the irresponsibility of the developers to announce something they can not keep would keep holding CFI and now would have doubled my money.
Can you understand now what gives a developer irresponsibility?

Then I come here to express my indignation and people talk as if the developers had no commitment to deliver the product on the stipulated date and the people who are complaining are wrong.

I do not think Safe Exchange Coin is a scam, I just think developers are irresponsible.

Worst of all is reading reviews from people who think that anyone who is dissatisfied with developers' irresponsibility is wrong.

Where was it stated that a wallet release would give you profits anyway? This is the risk involved in trading, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

I think it's hard for people to understand.

The question for me is not whether I would profit from it or not, the point is that I took this risk in the expectation that the developers would fulfill their promise.
If I had bought Safe Exchange Coin and the amount had not gone up, fine by me. OK.
The problem is I take the risk by believing in the project and buying Safe Exchange Coin and then the developers act this way of being irresponsible and I get hurt.

They simply succeeded with their incompetence to hurt the people they bought believing in the project and benefited others who will only buy to make a profit and then sell.

What is certain is that the currency now will not rise any more than it would rise if they were responsible. Most of the people who are selling SAFEX will not come back because they think the developers are irresponsible and a lot of the people who are buying now also will not hold the coin because they are aiming for a profit when the wallet is launched and will sell their coins with a Profit of 25, 30% creating several walls.

I, for example, would insure Safe Exchange Coin AT LEAST until the launch of the platform. Now I'm not going anymore. The only thing I want is to wait for the value to come out so as not to leave at a loss. I no longer believe in the developer team.

I understand your point of view. And I also share the same opinion than @Tarobyte, the devs could have communicate more with the community to explain why the wallet release is delayed. But well, they didn't say much about it for now and I admit it will impact negatively the price on the short term, however I still maintain it won't change much things over the long run besides just slightly slow down the success of the project possibly. Not a big deal imo and I hope with the feedbacks they will improve this part of their communication in the future. If you are looking for quick profits through daytrading I can only suggest you to invest in coins where the tech and communication is perfect, with clear projects, detailed roadmaps and devs you know reliable infos about. Good luck for your future investments ! Smiley

Is it possible to reach the price of Glom?

If it continues as it has been going the last few hours, yes. Look at price.

Technically, it is better than Golem and iExec (who is the author of this dumb name?), so it is only a question of time. I think in 2018 Sonm will reach current price of Golem but we don't know how the price of Golem itself will move. Anyway, SNM is looking so strong during BTC rally. It can pull back but I don't expect painful dump.

Exactly, SNM is better so we should expect the price to overcome the ATH Golem reached before. I believe we are at the early stage of something big. Let's see how the price will perform in the comming months. Smiley

Guys,

what is going on here?
It is dropped and dropped instead of being 20%-30% more at least.

Just people selling their coins to secure the huge profit they made in the past few days and to buy back at a lower entry. Be sure that everyone will come back soon and that the price will rise again. Tomorrow is the official wallet release, the price should increase accordingly. And then the next big milestone will be the release of the Chille blockchain, before the end of the year i assume. That's where the price should explode for real.

How many coins do I need to start staking? its there a minimum?

There is no minimum but the time between each payout depends on how many coins you have, the more you have the faster it will be.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: August 07, 2017, 08:09:18 PM

So you guys trust Safex who promised the wallet 2 times, and 2 times it did not deliver.

You guys are completely mad. Living in a fairyworld with pixiedust and unicorns. Embarrassed

We will see in few months/years where this coin will be, i'm sure that we are all well aware of the possible risks (which are really low here) and that we put only what we can afford to lose in the project. If it succed we will make insane profits. And you, where will you be ? Will you still be stuck on the forum writting negative comments over all the projects and people who try to make a change ? Will you still be trying to FUD coins because you're probably frustrated to miss good opportunities ? Grow up or regret it, being weak emotionally isn't something definitive, you can work on that. I'm not trying to be offensive here, just trying to help you to realize you're wrong. Good luck anyway with your choices, no matter what they will be. Smiley

Don't really know yet, few weeks, maybe a month. There should be an announcement when devs will be ready, be patient. Smiley

Don't listen to this guy, he is trying to make people sell to buy low before the next big pump which is coming. That's basic FUD and if you listen to him you will regret it for a long time. He didn't say any arguments or anything, it tells how serious he is haha. Be careful guys, never trade emotionally and hold your coins. Smiley

Yo!. So im really new to this. I read about Sec and bought 5990 coins for 0,01482275 $ a pop for 88 $
The spikes were crazy and i sold my whole portfolio of 3 Monero, 5 Etherum classic, 1 Lite coin, 9000 sia coins, 300 1 st to buy more Sec.
I payed a high price and now the price has gone back and im currently at a 214 $ in the red.
I have 32 680 sec. What would you do?

Hello and welcome into the crypto sphere ! Smiley

Just hold your coins for the long term. Never sell at loss on a good project. Safex is an awesome project so you don't have to worry, the dump is just a price correction because of people who cash out their profits. But by the end of the year, you can expect the coin to be at 0,20$ or more when Chille blockchain will be released. And next year the coin should be in the top 10 on Coinmarketcap. That's my opinion and i know many people think the same. Now, don't listen only to my words, make your own researches and take your decisions accordingly. Good luck. Wink

And the new website is up (http://piecoin.info/) ! Smiley
