1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: August 20, 2017, 10:17:35 AM
When and where would you be planning to list MTH on exchanges after the token sale?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: August 18, 2017, 08:25:13 AM
Hi Monetha team, I have another question. When MTH token holders recieve their voucher in MTH tokens can this MTH voucher be exchanged on exchanges for other crypto currencies or can these vouchers only be used as spending on your partner merchant sites?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Filecoin Presale Raises $52 Million Ahead of ICO Launch on: August 06, 2017, 10:32:18 AM
This sounds like Siacoin. Decentralised cloud storage where users can rent out their unused disk space for Siacoin tokens.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: New all-time high on: August 05, 2017, 03:46:52 AM
This is great news to wake up to!
5  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 03, 2017, 01:34:29 AM
If it had a more stable price I think it would be more readily be used for everyday transactions and therefore popularity would increase. Right now most people who buy Bitcoin are only looking at it as a speculation/investment vehicle.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: August 03, 2017, 01:20:33 AM
My trezor is great for long term storage.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie question about BTC and BCC split... on: August 03, 2017, 12:33:42 AM
If you didn't hold BTC before Aug 1st then you don't have BCC. If you did then you have both BTC and BCC (1:1) but there is liquidity issues at the moment so a lot of people still can;t sell BCC.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Investing in ransomware on: August 03, 2017, 12:18:31 AM
According to various research reports including this one from Cybersecurity Ventures, global ransomware is growing at a fast rate (from $325 mil in 2015 to $5 bil in 2017 according to this report)

http://cybersecurityventures.com/ransomware-damage-report-2017-5-billion/

As most ransomware demand BTC payments and some major corporations stock up on BTC in anticipation of these attacks does anyone feel that they are indirectly investing in the ransomware industry?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH dumped but why hasnt BTC moved on: August 02, 2017, 11:28:40 PM
Most ppl still have not had the opportunity to sell BCH yet with wallets frozen and all.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Value and the Relationship between BTC and BCH on: August 02, 2017, 11:06:49 PM
Until people have the opportunity to dump their coins (or not) we can't really say what the relationship is.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 02, 2017, 10:56:27 PM
I don't think there will only be one crypto being used exclusively, it will consist of an ecosystem with multiple cryptos with competing features. BTC I belive is here to stay as it was the first and has that brand name recognition behind it (even though it may have inferior features compared to other cryptos in the market). If cryptos become mainstream the masses will start flocking to Bitcoin as really it is the only one they know about or heard about.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: August 02, 2017, 10:46:20 PM
I read the whitepaper but didn't find any info on this so I would like to ask if the monetha payment system would accept other cryptos besides ether (BTC, LTC, etc)?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash just lost all of its hash power on: August 02, 2017, 10:37:29 PM
I just checked on coinmarketcap and they are doing great, I don't think they are just going to lose those hash power they are backed by big mining companies but let's see how it goes after a week or two, market still very volatile.

Never a dull moment in crypto land.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: August 02, 2017, 10:27:07 PM
Onbthe contrary its an opportunity for poor and middle income people to attain wealth.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 02, 2017, 10:05:30 PM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

I don't think so, bitcoin cash is an altcoin which means there won't be much value to it. As some people stated the price of  bitcoin cash and bitcoin add up to around 3k. This might mean that when bitcoin falls, bitcoin cash will rise in price.

The problem with that is that bitcoin doesn't look like it's going to fall, especially after it went through these events. Now people have even more trust in bitcoin and prices are stable.
Probably right.Bitcoin at the present is much more capable and secured as compared before. So with this,it will truly survive through the tests of time.

So say we all
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: August 02, 2017, 09:40:10 PM
To me BTC is an investment. It has huge potential for capital growth and a currency which does not suffer from inflation and manipulation by central banks.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 02, 2017, 09:31:57 PM
Until we have mainstream adoption the potential for capital growth is huge.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: Bitcoin Price In 5 Years on: August 02, 2017, 09:19:22 PM
I can't guess exactly what the price is but I believe it will increase in value way more than any other investment vehicle I have access to.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You SATISFIED With AUGUST 1? on: August 02, 2017, 09:09:22 PM
Don't feel bad, it can go either way and besides people should only invest what they are willing to lose.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does BCH have any market capital at all? on: August 02, 2017, 08:56:51 PM
BCH (bitcoincash) is just a vapor and its price is not the real one because most of the bitcoincash is still outside the exchange platforms that have distributed BCH token internally.

Wait for few more days, BCH price can go way below $100.

Agreed, a lot of people still aren't able to access BCC from their wallets or exchanges yet. Once the people who want to dump have their opportunity to execute we'll start to see the true market price.
