1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [In Stock] Batch 8! Gridseed miners in Stock in Los Angeles. [$225] on: April 03, 2014, 08:29:57 PM
just curious about the WU within CGminer. Getting 361 kh/s  (which is fine) but the WU is 1-2/m...in past for scrypt with GPU it always should be 90%= of your hashrate..and that is always what you're truly paid on and actually hashing out..so is this just different due to the type of miner? or should it be higher..i believe it is being read correct online via the pool..but want to be sure..
thanks

I know the difficulty is high and block times are (supposed to be) 10 mins but it seems no pool is getting close to the finding rate it should...is it all large solominers or what?

PS..I also agree that how do so many that cried bloody murder when other coins came out at 2%-10% premined but get behind something that is 50%!? Wtf is up with that?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SSL][0%FEE] DOGECOIN POOL MINE! FAST-POOL.COM - ON CORRECT FORK! on: February 12, 2014, 06:28:32 PM
Hello, I searched earlier posts and found reference to the official Dogecoin blockchain website
I went to that webpage and I put in my cryptsy address and was able to locate the full transaction id
Hopefully cryptsy honors the transaction and property credits my account

they didnt respond to my ticked since 24h...now all my coins are on pending Sad
Hello,
I am having a problem with a transfer of coins to cryptsy....
They have no record of 25,879.08896956 Dogecoin being sent to them and they want a transaction ID
The transaction ID on your website is only showing part of the ID  4b325145...b331a9a5
How can I get the entire transaction ID
My user name is phoenixx
What can I do if they claim they don't have the coins?
Thanks

Both of you don't worry..it will go through just take time..I don't Luke cryptsy either but if tx went through..it WILL go..just delayed.. If u click the tx I'd here or search it in chain (yes it looks abbreviated but due to long complicated addresses the front and back end us enough to still be unique) you will find them...maybe with a few other withdrawals BUT yours will say "yet to be redeemed"..this means THIS pool DID SEND..successfully to the Cryptsy address of your wallet but their sloooow ass wallet has yet to update, sync or whatever to have confirmed acceptance...hence the delay..I try to stay away from Cryptsy (for day trading cuz just took damn slow) but I do have yet a tx to NOT go through...just 2-30 hours...

Hope this helps and puts u at ease a little...Cryptsy really needs to get their sh*t together...I DO want them to be a fast efficient exchange..it would benefit us all but they got a lot still to be done..

Issue with your luck average stats that aren't accurate

Hey FastPool Op...firstly..love the pool..and want to say that your average luck for the day/week and so on IS MUCH better then what your site/stats post and I know why and its fixable and its something I'd fix if I were you because youvare losing out on MANY workers and more hashrate/donations due to this..

Basically the standard server software and its "zero variant" stats base the "expected shares" on the current difficulty and the pool hashrate vs network hashrate at the EXACT MOMENT of difficulty change...and stays there until next change and pools that fluctuate a lot or get good upswings like yours throw those stats off..because your expected shares will NOT change at all but the actual shares WILL as the rate goes up..making it (often but not always of course) that its taking much more then "expected" to find the blocks...

Your luck is NOT 135% average...I'm POSITIVE of this but it posts that regularly for 1 day and 1 week stats..in 130's%+ sometimes...over 1day to 1 week..this scares newcomers..

Some pools rework the code and make own algorithm or equation to basically take a roaming "average" of the pools hashrate over "x" time and over "x" difficulty to more accurately represent this..

I've done a lot of math and testing here and at other Doge pools at same times with 10-80mh worth of mining power...and not just for one or a few hours because that can be wildly inaccurate but over few day periods..where coin rewards average out to 480k-520k per block...and THIS POOL will net MORE coins 8 times out if 10!

Initially I thought Dogehouse had to be the likely winner for best payoffs with there 30% of the network...but they ARE NOT!..this pool SMOKES EM almost every time..their pplns system does something that lowers payouts typically below average..even when luck is 95%-105% over there with 500k avg per block..I typically (and many others who tested with me) will see 65-88% of expected payout based on specific or roaming estimates with current difficulty, stales n rejects etc...and this is with my personal mining at less then 1.6% rejects...but at yours 80%-110% payouts on expected all the time! Smiley
Now of course there are times at this and other pools where one can get much less or more then expected due to brief bad or good luck on block finds and rewards...but gotta go with the long term averages ..

Anyways just my two cents..wanted to pass this along as I have unfortunately communicated with several who opt to "stay away from fast pool" because they "believe" the pools luck is consistently too poor based on the stats they find on your block page on a regular basis when compared to others..sure your 1 hour is green and good from time to time but your 1 day/1week is practically always RED 110%-154%! When in reality its not that far off at all..

Anyways keep up the good work.
Cheers

PS..hope that newer splash page has helped you lately because I can only imagine that you must have been getting inundated with emails from people freaking out thinking there are issues cuz they can't get to the main site at that exact moment...I feel for ya...
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: R9 280x Cgminer results and config on: December 07, 2013, 05:03:39 PM
As a newbie, how long will it take before you have mined 1 BTC with 716kh/s?
I know it will be long but how long?

I'm planning to setup a duo R9 290x.

lol

well at *current* difficulty it would take about FOUR and a HALF YEARS!..

i'd say you'd possibly have better luck solo mining for that long and may hit the lotto and find one block and get the whole 25 coins! but not likely..

definitely use your GPU's for ALT coin mining.. even after the last two days big drop in BTC value you can still get roughly $10-$20 a day per Mh/s with GPU's on alt coins...even back at $2.50 a day that's still LIGHTYEARS ahead of what you would get mining BTC

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps v1.5.2 Just Released Checkpoint Node New Wallet Design! Please Update on: October 14, 2013, 03:45:13 PM

Vern was still on 1.5.1 hes updating now

Forget that...what he NEEDS to update are his servers so that miners are not constantly missing valid payments on random confirmed blocks!! This is STILL going on...months now...many believe it is blatant theft and not just "ongoing server/client problems"...I'm starting to lean that way now too as this is getting ridiculous and he says he knows and is "working on it" but nothing gets done.  Many people are losing a fair bit of their hard earned coins due to this....

Cone on VERN....get this fixed once and for all or be labelled a mining pool operator thief...

PS..its too bad CAPs keeps dropping in value..now in the 0.00007's..way under valued..and the mining has been well under 100 megahashes for long time now...hope to see rebound soon...

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps v1.5.2 Just Released Checkpoint Node New Wallet Design! Please Update on: October 01, 2013, 04:46:55 PM
update to new client was easy and worked first time no prob.

update on Vern's pool(s)....STILL missing payments on SEVERAL random CONFIRMED BLOCKS...

I don't know how long this can go on for but this is equaling a TON of legitimate missing, withheld, stolen (insert whatever adjective fits) coins from several miners over the long haul..
i've been in contact with Vern for a while now with no resolution yet..no contact in past week or two though.. This is only one of several pools that has this problem and supposedly has had it for months if not longer..

I'm STILL holding out hope this is NOT intentional or malicious and that it will be fixed soon.. (many others don't agree with me)...but i'm still giving the benefit of the doubt...

but VERN...you have to get this fixed for Caps pool (and all your pools that this happens to) asap bud.. it doesn't look good..
hope to hear back from you soon ..and with good news..

Latest Vern Pool(s) update:

Connected to Caps pool again for a day and STILL several random confirmed blocks were missing payments..

He has gotten back to me in the past and stated he thought he had found the problem and was working on it and even said it should be fixed..but still the missing (or stolen) payments....and has not got back to my latest messages.

I don't know how long this can go on for but I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt for a long time time now and patience is wearing thin...and its not just this one pool..it may be all of them..but I'm going to keep messaging him and see what happens but if it still goes on for much longer then it can be assumed its basically theft of miners coins (as many believe so already) and then myself and many others will be posting on all the associated forums, blogs, twitter, etc to stay away from his pools and it seems there are several who believe this and are willing to do so..but im not there just yet but patience is wearing thin..and I truly hope this is not malicious theft....time will tell...

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps v1.5 Fork Issues and Sync Issue Resolved Please UPDATE!!!! on: September 18, 2013, 01:25:34 PM
I am aware of some bugs in the current implementation of the pool using mmfce.   I have tried to plug as many of them as possible, I think I've gotten most of the issues with the missing block payouts.

Instead of trying to continuously fix mmfce, I'm working on a new pool software, which should work much better and run much smoother than this version.   Until I get the new version out, I will continue to patch this one up as much as I can.

BigVern

Thanks for the reply Vern.
I hope it gets solved quickly and easily and as soon as it does I will return to your pool(s) as I'm sure many others may too. Just let us know.
But out of curiosity..just what is happening g with the *thousands* of unpaid coins that you and your pools are accumulating?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps v1.5 Fork Issues and Sync Issue Resolved Please UPDATE!!!! on: September 13, 2013, 02:07:04 PM
Anyone else having "missing payments" at Vern's pool (Bottlecapspool.com)? Last couple days I have noticed dozens of random "confirmed" blocks for which payments are missing. I know two others who are having same issue. Just curious if anyone else here is using that pool and missing payments?
I have messaged Vern and he is looking into it I believe

I have a lot of blocks for which the reward column is blank... Even for blocks for which I'm the finder. This isn't a new issue though and is one of the reasons I stopped mining there previously. I didn't realize the pool was back up so I decided to test it out again. My rewards were are about 20% under the estimated amount, but I don't know if those blank amounts are actually paid out or not. Please post when you know something more.

I too had seen this in past but also had times where I went days with every block being paid...but now, this time around (and only on Caps pool at moment that I'm talking about) there are MANY more missing payment spots..I did the math and every coin was accounted for with the spots showing payments thus meaning all those empty confirmed blocks are *missing* payments and for me personally its gone as high as 40% at times! Caps basically has a 99% efficiency with few stales and orphans so payments are typically very close to estimates (based on changing and current difficulties) but this pool is waaay off and only due to missing or withheld payments and other pools are not doing this. This is definitely a pool issue and not a coin or client issue. His pool IS getting the blocks it is showing and they DO CONFIRM UP to and past 120 blocks meaning his pool IS getting 10 coins for ALL  those blocks but then for many of them payments don't get split up amongst its miners properly...at this moment I can only speak for myself and two others but does appear to be widespread amongst many if not all miners in that pool..

Did you report this to the pool owner?

I most certainly did..a few times... at last it was left at "I don't know what is causing it and I'm looking into it"..that was about 5-6 days ago..have asked for update yesterday but nothing back since..

I have mined 3 or 4 of his pools and they all do it.  I've sent email to the support email on the pools and never received any response.

I'll mine solo and take my chances before using any of Vern's pools.

yes i have to agree here too--i also had sent him multiple emails etc.. and never got him to respond to my numbers and the ONE lone time he did respond was when i got him at his crypsty email, but upon asking him about the balance of my account and the balance of pool at which time i was tracking--he always held a 10000+incoming mining balance on just that pool alone, then i discovered much the same on his other pools and decided to just leave ALL his pools. If i remember right , he would get like 3 or 4 mining pays but only paying out 2 or 3 each time thus keeping the 10000 + balance--i do know some pool owners keep a reserve balance for emergencies and in event of long winded rounds but he wouldnt even admit or acknowledge that, so like i said i left.

if interested , i think i can still pull up old posts where i even posted my findings here to see if anyone knew what was going on.
so if anyone wants some more details on this PM me and will be more then happy to provide.

Well he has gotten back to me a couple of times now recently but I feel like he might be stringing me along. He says he thinks he found the problem as is working on it..but that's been a while and won't give other updates. I do know this has happened in the past and I test every few days with only a single GPU now to see how the payouts go and its still doing this (missing or stolen) payments all the time. Many random confirmed blocks have no payouts and it can swing wildly from 15% to 50% of blocks that I'm missing payouts!
I'm trying hard to give him the benefit of the doubt but something IS DEFINITELY going on there and I only hope its not intentional because his pool(s) are getting all the valid confirmed blocks that they show but consistently miss many payouts to its miners meaning the pool or himself is compiling THOUSANDS of coins that are supposed to be paid to miners.

I don't want to cross that line yet like many others that say it is malicious and he is essentially stealing all these coins but he sure better start communicating better and actually appear to be fixing this longstanding issue and get it resolved soon.

So VERN...if you are reading this (as I know u post here occasionally) please address this issue and get this fixed before all the negative press starts spreading even more and you lose more miners to this...
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps v1.5 Fork Issues and Sync Issue Resolved Please UPDATE!!!! on: September 09, 2013, 03:39:14 PM
I was thinking a bit more about the whole Multiport thing and also did some math. I have typically known that on Multiport when a coin gets its turn and a huge amount of hashrate is put towards any given coin...yes, it will find a lot of blocks but the payout will never be as "profitable" as it says ..but i never really thought about how much different it could be...so with Caps..just did some quick math..(and was on the site for a couple of tests too) and it is quite a VAST DIFFERENCE...

For the example, lets just use some simple round numbers like 1000 Mh goes to it and you or I have 10MH (in rigs of personal mining power) towards it at it's given time..
Now keep in mind..Caps are supposed to be 1 Block a minute and 10 coins per.. but when difficulty drops and then there is this huge onslaught of hashpower..during this window more then the 1 a minute are found.. but in order for it to be anywhere near what the profitability and difficulty scale suggests it would have to find blocks at an "astronomical" rate..and it just can't do that..

so:

1000 MH pool and you have 10MH of that..for say 1 hour and we'll even say that the difficulty is down to an even 1 (which would mean in theory 8.38190 coins per hour per 1mh).. so that would be an incredible 83.819 coins per hour with the 10mh...and for the 1000MH pool that would be 8381.9coins in an hour! so doing the math (divide by 10), that would be 838 blocks needed to be found to get that sort of payout.. and thus meaning that a block would need to be found every 4.29 seconds...now as seen in Multipool...when on Multiport for 15-60mins you can see that usually at MOST it may be able to hit 7-8 blocks in any given minute but usually is quite high in the 4-6 range..so instead of the 1 a minute (that is should be for CAPs)...it goes to 1 every 15 seconds or 10 seconds...so lets say it found 5 a minute for the average (which is high)..that's 1 every 12 seconds and 300 for the hour...so 3000 coins...and your 10Mh is 1% of the pool so you end up with 30 coins!...a far cry from the 84 that it would suggest you would get...and these numbers are still high..in reality you might actually get 20-26 coins for the hour...oh and Caps likely never stays on the Multiport for a full hour anyways..

So with all this being said.. is it beneficial? The pool finds most of the blocks..so the other pools and solo miners don't get very many during this time (and that fact alone takes away from the total that Multipool can find during it's time too as some...even though only a few..still get found by the left over hashrate from the others pools and the solo'ers)..

Then this will create higher and more frequent difficulty swings.
So what's your take on this? I'm sure some of you have even used the Multipool recently since it added Caps last week.
What do you all think?

anyways...back to the thread at hand..this thread actually is supposed to be for CAPs right..

anyone expect to see it hit back up around 0.0002btc anytime soon or likely to stay here for a while?
and going back to the multiport question..is it going to be added to the cycle on Multipool anytime soon...is that why it was brought up earlier? I'm still not sold on that idea yet but maybe its a good thing at this stage.

^^^ this is basically how it works.

How Digital industry thought that banks don't lend out money that is deposited into banks is beyond me and couldn't be further from the truth!

That is because you likely have half of an education , I dont want to go back and have to read all that but I will if I have to , a reserve ratio is just that a ratio of reserve .

If that is too difficult for people to understand then unfortunately you maybe beyond help.

The " reserve ratio" relates ofcourse to the age old magic of " fractional reserve lending" .

Deposits only make up the reserve so that the " general ledger" can allow for the issuance of new money to be loaned into existance , thats right kiddies , loaned into existance .

The fact that its 2013 and the fact that you are ignorant of this is the reason we are in a lot of trouble.

I can link you to some fast paced video so that you may school yourself if you like ?

actually the reason "we are in a lot of trouble" is because of arrogant s.o.b.'s like you.. Smiley yes yes, we can clearly see you know everything and must school us and "our lives are a lie" yada yada"
are you actually reading what you are writing? anyways, i'll let you get back to your mirror

i have to go school myself! lol

Anyways...the whole banking thing doesn't matter here and people are going to think whatever they want...whether right or wrong.

So Multiport ..should we want Caps on there or not? Good or not...curious what consensus is and why..
