Yeah I have ODN. I just now saw that there was an exchange so I guess the I will just lose my ODN. It's a coin I've been holding awhile. Usually the exchanges do the swap for you. That sucks. Apparently the team sucks too..
They'll have to allow for redemptions in perpetuity or their coin will be doomed to fail. You can't expect people to constantly stay updated or lose their tokens... Defeats the entire purpose of typical hodling. I just checked in today for the first time in FOREVER and I see this bullshit. It might be normal and I just haven't read through enough but from the few posts I've just read it seems like we're supposed to be responsible to swap our own tokens in a specific time window.... If so this is absolutely retarded and I'm glad I sold 70% or so when they were near peak high... We will not allow redemptions in perpetuity. It wouldn't make any sense, as it's a different project altogether. It merely took ODN holders as eligible recipients as a way of making up for the failure of the ODN developers, and that's where all ties end. Also, there was no swap. It was merely a limited window where you would prove ownership of ODN, and based on that you would be eligible to receive ODIN. Now, despite the ODN developers completely failing and dropping the Obsidian project, we do still intend to carry on with Obsidian. We are currently looking at ways to get new developers interested, and are already actioning on making other developmental ideas a reality. |

Now that we have revealed the name of the new coin, logo, and some positive developments such as the new Odin Testnet and Masternodes, we would like to involve the community more going forward. Old Norse Mythology
We chose the name Odin for many reasons, not in the least that there are many areas of Old Norse Mythology which can be used as cool metaphors for crypto communities, blockchain, and other exploratory and pioneering areas of technology. We particularly like the idea and associated imagery which comes with the old ‘World Tree’ Yggdrasil - centre to the cosmos and considered very holy. The Norse gods are said to go to Yggdrasil daily to assemble their things. The branches of Yggdrasil extend far into the heavens, and the tree is supported by three roots that extend far away into other locations... We have some features that we would like to open up to the community first for ideas of names that will be shortlisted. Following the closing date for entries, we will next post the shortlists for each one of these as polls, so that you can vote once for each of these. The Briefing:Be creative! Look for something unusual, different… do your research rather than just jumping in with a default Google for ‘Norse Mythology’ etc., we will allow names of Kings, Queens, objects and places related to Norse mythology. I have a feeling that people do not even read the terms of the bounty company. "ETH 1 = 10,000 VIVID" "4001 and above: VIVID 10 Stakes per week" that is, at today's exchange rate I will get $0.87 per week for participating in the bounty of the company. You are not wrong with the calculations of Stakes?
Stakes are not tied to a specific amount until we have a total number of stakes. The bounty pool will be divided to ratio to everyone that earned some. For example, if only 100 stakes are earned by all contributors, one stake would in theory be 1,200,000/100=120,000 VIVID tokens. Stakes are earned on a weekly basis and we will tallyl the total number of stakes at the end of the campaign. |

However, Signal requires you to a phone number, which may be used as an identifier. The Obsidian Messenger requires none of these, instead only giving you a 10-digit identifier which you can give to other people to contact you with; your public key. Furthermore, the blockchain is hosted on master nodes. These masternodes emulate the tasks which are usually handled by servers: They ensure the messages are delivered to the recipient. Beyond the messenger application, Obsidian is a platform, meaning other applications can be built to utilise the blockchain as well. One of these is the recently announced Glass project, which aims to be a one-way mirror of sorts as a gateway to services for which anonimity might come in handy.
