1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: Today at 10:08:08 AM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.
I am also a newcomer to this field, but I, for example, decided to start not with trading, but with finding interesting projects in which to perform activities. Of the latter, it was Linea Park. Low costs, activities are quite simple, after the update from ETH, even gas was quite cheap. Among the disadvantages of this area (let's call it drop hunting), you don't know how much you will get, when and if you will get it at all. I'm still learning the basics of trading, but technical analysis is very difficult. I can't even imagine how much time it takes to find your own strategy and make it at least a small percentage profitable.

It's not really easy to learn trading, especially in the crypto space. It really takes time, willingness, determination, and self-discipline; don't be greedy, and there's a lot to consider. We need to be persistent, just like we study in school.

Don't be in a hurry to get income; we should always prioritize learning. Even if we say that we already know how to earn here in crypto, don't stop learning even if the time comes for us to be successful here.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: Today at 09:41:44 AM
I can't think of anything more profitable at the moment. Although I don't know in depth the income from online casinos.

However, to create an online casino, you need a lot of investment and be willing to pay for advertising and interact in a forum like this.

I don't intend to have an online casino, I'm more interested in having an e-commerce.

One of the factors that makes me believe this is that there is already a whole audience ready to play in casinos, as they are generally people who bet out of addiction, to make money (or even when they lose, they play just to pass the time). In addition to the fact that there are costs for servers, employees, online attendants, programmers and other costs, unlike physical casinos where the costs are for installations, maintenance, energy and employees and security guards...

Do they make more profit than digital banks, CEX exchanges, etc.?

Maybe compared to the bank, yes, the casino is more profitable because there are more gamblers and large deposits. The income is also high, especially if the players in the casino are rich. But compared to the CEX platform, I don't think the gambling casino online is more profitable.

Because there are more people who invest in cryptocurrencies or bitcoins compared to gambling, it's just another thing that people think gambling is good; there are more opportunities in exchange compared to gambling. That's the truth.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did/do you handled a gambling addict story. on: Today at 09:32:22 AM
Gambling addiction can be very terrible and frustrating that it affects both your financial and emotional wellbeing.  There are lots of gamblers out there in the open struggling with gambling addiction  wishing to share their pains with someone who could understand, but they don't actually know the right person(s) to confide in about the pains they bear as they fear that they will be judged, criticized and the rest.

I had this conversation with a stranger today, he had to tell me a few things he's struggling with with his gambling habit and how he had tried to put an end to it but finds himself going back to same habits thereafter. And he felt that  talking to somebody about it will help his state but instead the person he felt comfortable talking to about was so judgemental towards him which had made him resort to self-help but nothing has really changed.

Has anyone gambling addict shared his situation with you and how did you handled it? please come clean about it let's learn from each other.

Being addicted to gambling is not immediately the first time you gamble today; you will be addicted tomorrow. It is not like that; before a gambler becomes addicted, it takes time. Apparently, he can lose a large amount at the casino before he becomes an addict.

That's why when a player becomes addicted to gambling, they don't immediately get rid of the addiction they have because their addiction already has a foundation. So giving up gambling or resigning from it will also go through the process.

5  Economy / Economics / Financial Institution who control's the Market on: May 27, 2024, 12:03:05 PM
In the world of crypto, we often hear about the Wall Street, institutional investors, hedge funds, and typically financial institutions that have a great influence on the cryptocurrency market. But most of us in this field do not have a background in finance and were first exposed to crypto because of NFTs, play-to-earn that we can quickly access compared to stocks and financial instruments that we have no idea about.

So here we will explain the typical financial institutions, not only in the traditional asset class but also in crypto. So let's start with:

1. Wall Street: This is a term that is often used in the world of finance and investment in the US. He is based in Manhattan, New York. This is the financial district where financial entities such as investment banks, stock exchanges, and brokerage firms are located.

This institution plays a major role in global finance by underwriting new stock offerings and facilitating mergers and acquisitions. And in providing brokerage services for trading security, As the crypto market has matured, many Wall Street firms are incorporating crypto and bitcoin into their portfolios. Just like offering services in futures trading, custody, and products related to crypto, the most recent here is the Bitcoin spot Etf.

So when it is said Wall Street, it is not just a firm, but rather its scope is wide.

2. Hedge Fund: You often hear this on social media. This is a firm that has a collection of money from investors, typically wealthy investors who invest in hedge funds. And it is only available to accredited investors; these are the only investors who meet the specific income requirements and who are qualified to invest in securities that are not registered with financial authority. That is why it is not available to retail investors.

And according to my research, the requirements for an individual to become an accredited investor are that they must have a network that exceeds 1 million dollars in the US, and that does not include the value of their primary residence. And what the hedge fund does with this money is that they invest in a wide range of assets because their goal is to get the highest return possible for their investors.

And it is managed by professional managers; they are the ones who trade and invest to increase the value of the fund. But it is not like traditional fund managers, who are only allowed to invest in stocks or bonds. With hedge funds, they are free to invest anywhere, including land, real estate, stock derivatives, and even cryptocurrency or bitcoin.

Therefore, the goal of the hedge fund is to get a significant investment return. Normally,  the managers receive fees, usually 2% of the asset funds. And they still have a performance fee of around 20% of any profit. That's why the managers are performing well because they have a lot of income from the fund. And those who are known to have funds with image below, they also participate in the derivative market and they are also its opponent on the other side of the trade.

3. Venture capital: these are the ones that specialize in financial entities, in companies that are just starting that they think have potential or market impact but also high risk. There are also many venture firms in new crypto projects, and these are the first supporters of the project and are not like traditional investors who just buy company stocks and sell when the value increases. This is also what helps the project rise, and sometimes they provide strategic advice and are appointed by board members to the project, and sometimes they also provide marketing so that the project can be listed immediately on the big exchanges. So they don't just fund the project; they also support it until the valuation of the crypto project increases.
Actually, it plays a crucial role in a crypto project in order to provide funds to innovators so that the crypto project can achieve its goal. And in return, this is where the venture capitalist firms will make money.

4. Mutual Fund: This is also an investment vehicle that gives full money to multiple investors, and this fund is used to buy diversified portfolios of stocks, bonds, or other securities. It gives individual investors access to various financial instruments. And if they do, it won't be easy either, to be honest.  There are also fund managers here who allocate funds to various assets, and normally the strategy they follow here is diversification.

There are different types of mutual funds, such as:

Equity funds are the type that invest primarily in stocks with the goal of earning faster compared to the money market and are a bit high-risk on the mutual fund side.

Bond/Fix Funds are the money invested in bonds and other debt instruments that are generally less risky than equity funds. but the return here is also lower.

The index fund replicates the performance of a specific index, like the SMP500, which has the same holdings in stocks that have the same proportion in the index.

So, overall, the mutual fund is lower risk compared to the hedge fund because most of the time they diversify the portfolio, unlike the hedge fund, which focuses on leverage and derivatives because they are aiming for a higher return. And there are also mutual funds that invest in crypto but only focus on large market caps like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. And they only put a small percentage of the portfolio in it.

5. ETF(Exchange Traded Fund): this is the investment fund traded on the stock exchange, such as stocks, commodities, cryptocurrency, or Bitcoin. It's just like an index fund. For example, in the Bitcoin spot ETF, the ETF that is tradable on the stock exchange tracks the value of bitcoin in the spot market. And it is available to any investor who participates in the stock market.

When an investor buys an ETF, the actual asset does not belong to them; instead, it belongs to the company that offers it. The difference between a mutual fund and a hedge fund is that their structure is passively managed, which is cheaper because there are no active fund managers that investors have to pay. So they prefer to invest in ETFs because they are cheaper here.

So I hope this adds knowledge to any of us in the community here on this forum. Have a good day, everyone. Wink
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your parents invest in bitcoin ? on: May 25, 2024, 09:36:10 AM
If those who have parents who support them in what they are doing in the Bitcoin industry are envious, then they are also investing in Bitcoin with you. That kind of parent is very supportive. But most of them really don't understand what we do in this industry.

I don't have parents, but I have many relatives. That's why they don't believe in what I'm doing, even though they know I've been here for several years in the crypto business I'm in. Although they don't say that I'm doing it badly,.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to earn money (cryptocurrency) in 2024? on: May 25, 2024, 09:22:13 AM
I have been thinking about making money in cryptocurrency, but I'm hesitant to try because I don't want to get scammed i.e. didn't get any rewards for the effort I spent. I'm really curious with the current hype in 2024 and how much you've make from it? I know that scam is inevitable in altcoins, so I might be looking to earn with less risk.

What I know the current hypes in 2024 are:
1. Testnet airdrop
2. Meme coins

What about NFT or ordinals? but I think it's really risky because it's non fungible and you can't make sure people will buy your token.
What about P2E games? I haven't hear it anymore.

Probably I missed other hypes or if you know the another way of making money, feel free to comment. Wink

Well if you have a look since a decade Airdrops are 50/50 in my point of View. Now the trend has been changed and most of them are focusing on Cloud Mining where they are paid a Descent money. It is now feasible to mine cryptocurrencies utilizing cloud computing resources.

Yes Play-to-earn games have gained considerable attention as they provide gamers with a chance to generate real income. Their popularity has significantly increased the adoption of NFTs and blockchain gaming, You can have it a try.

Until now, there are still play-to-earn games that gamers are obsessed with because there are still many other streamers promoting play-to-earn games on YouTube, Twitch, and others.
Then the other games in crypto today are quite active for me.

Now in the ordinals, you are right that their hyped period is over. That's why, always, when they attack the network, they also do a lot of damage to the bitcoin network in terms of fees.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment opportunity in new cryptocurrencies on: May 25, 2024, 06:01:12 AM
Investing in new cryptocurrencies can be both exciting and risky. While some new projects may have potential for high returns, they often come with increased volatility and uncertainty. It's essential to conduct thorough research on the project, its team, technology, and market demand before investing. Additionally, consider diversifying your investment portfolio and only invest what you can afford to lose. Consulting with financial advisors or experienced investors can also provide valuable insights.
Check this cryptocurrency exchange and explore investment opportunities.

Right now, honestly speaking, it is difficult to take the risk of putting money into a crypto exchange that is not that well known in the field of crypto business. I am just stating the facts, not discouraging you. Of course, the competition is intense if the other crypto exchanges are already known and have large daily volumes, and there are large communities in this field, yet in the end they are still closed.

What if it's not a well-known cryptocurrency exchange? Therefore, if I am going to use a crypto exchange, the ones that are in the top 10 exchanges, at least in the market, are the ones I will choose first, because there are still others that have a good record and reputation in this matter.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't You Think the Power of Flexible Savings Counts? on: May 24, 2024, 12:02:13 PM
Is this $100,000 worth all your crypto assets? Or is that divided among your various cryptocurrency assets? Because if they have different crypto, that means they also have different percentages of stakes; is that yield or farming?

But if it's just a type of crypto, let's say the 100k$ is only in ETH. There are other platforms whose APY in ETH is at 4.8%, but let's assume its 5% APY, so the APY you can earn in your ETH worth 100k$ is around 500$. For me, it is low if I am in the crypto space; if their computation rate is like this, this is just my example. Of course, you are in the higher category that can be given.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Missing COVID Relief Payments on: May 24, 2024, 11:43:32 AM
I think this is not just in Texas but all around the world. Many people in any government, monarch, or any type of government are using the supposed funds for certain types of events, like the pandemic, to their pockets. Indeed, many people have died to prevent the stopping of that kind of operation. Is there even a way to stop all of this corruption?

During the pandemic, many corrupt politicians benefited from millions of dollars and maybe even billions of dollars they swindled just because of the materials used during the pandemic season that other politicians who are corrupt or looters may have a percentage of in reality.

Millions of people have already died, but the blind politicians were able to take advantage of looting the treasury of the people under their jurisdiction. It is a sad situation, but it really happens all over the world. So it's not just in that country but also in many countries around the world, of course, that have been affected by the COVID season.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Country and nation culture is the economic strenght of nation on: May 24, 2024, 11:29:18 AM
No matter where the country is, they appreciate whatever culture and history they have. Here in our country, there is a high respect for the culture we have, even if we say that
the tools are high-tech and fully innovated. the systems implemented here.

Because the culture and history of a country can also help the territory through tourism, which gives tourists the idea to visit each country they want to visit,.
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Predict the price of crypto and win! on: May 23, 2024, 09:45:26 AM
You should probably run some paid signature campaign if you want to promote your business around here. Otherwise creating a topic only won’t have a big impact because there are many other casinos that offer similar price prediction games.

Brand recognition is a huge step forward and the best way to get that is running a paid signature campaign. There are a few very professional sig camp managers in the forum and you should probably contact them if you are serious about promoting your business.

Even though the forum is far from its old glory days, there are still thousands of people visit here every day. I am pretty sure you’ll get what you pay for.

You're right in what you say; the OP's promotion of what he shares here will do better if they allocate a budget for something like this. Of course, it is easier to reach the crypto community when the participants who will participate in their program have a campaign banner like this.

I can see that Op's motive is good, or it is also possible that he has already mentioned this to the team he is promoting, and it may be that they are in the process of evaluating whether they will conduct a campaign for this. Let's wait.
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: I would like to place a $1,000,000 bet on: May 23, 2024, 09:30:31 AM
Why did anyone think the OP really had $1 million? It's just a dirty tactic that leads to someone contacting him on PM and asking about that event - and then of course he'll try to sell it. As we can see, everything ends up with simple insults, no money, no bets Lips sealed

Honestly speaking, I am also surprised that one million dollars here in our country is worth 55 million in currency; that is too much value for us. Then, for OP, he will only dedicate that to gambling at the online casino. That's a bit doubtful in my mind, and out of 100%, I don't believe that he has $1,000,000.

Because one of the reasons is that he said stakes banned him. What is the reason? Even though you may be a rich person, is it that easy for him to throw away 1 million dollars for the casino? If it's that easy for him because Op is rich, does that mean he's that addicted to gambling? I don't know; it's just my perception of him. I also don't know what the OP's intention or motive is in making this topic in the gambling section.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: May 23, 2024, 09:21:54 AM

It does sound unethical when members have fulfilled requirements such as KYC or others, and when they want to make a withdrawal they are advised to reapply for KYC, which seems ridiculous. But on the other hand, those who act as hosts can of course do whatever they want, including asking members to submit their KYC again. Even though it doesn't make sense to the members, when the host is like that then I think the members won't be able to do anything but follow the host's orders.

In a way they make them bow their heads because it is money that they are going to get, so this can be beneficial from the point of view that it will always lead to a better way of doing things, of course, I am one of the people who does not does everything in case I left my KYC, I always try to have my KYC in the casinos that are 100% trustworthy, like stake.com, bitcasino.io, sportsbet.io, where normally you have to complete the KYC once and not They make so much trouble, I know that when there are larger withdrawals they do have a more rigorous KYC but this is within the casino rules, even so they are reliable casinos and that is what gives more security.

Honestly, dude, after all, KYC is not a big deal if the casino has a good reputation and is a long-time player in the crypto space. It's just that there are others who don't want KYC and are sensitive to their data privacy. And that is their right, too.

Now, if they initially registered with the casino because they knew there was no KYC, so they made a deposit and came to the point where they won a large amount of money playing gambling, and suddenly they are required to submit KYC, there is nothing they can do or choose if they have funds in the gambling platform but to still submit. Because they only have two choices: to submit a KYC to release the winning prize to the casino or not to release the winning prize to the casino? That's all easy to do, right?
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to become a successful trader on: May 22, 2024, 05:23:37 AM
As a successful trader, you should focus on the process instead of the money, because the process is the must important thing for you to get more experience in it, and once you are focus it you never lose your money in trading, so as successful trader you must always be fucus on the process of your trading, for you to get a good profit.
Money is of course important, because with money as capital you will get profits. Experience or knowledge can be gained by trading using a demo account but the pressure is different, so money is also important.
Use money that you can afford to lose, so trade directly with real money instead of just using a demo account, so you may lose money but knowledge increases and slowly knowledge is used to gain profits in the next trade.

Having money is an advantage, so we can easily grow an investment opportunity if we know it will cause growth in the capital that we have. Of course, it is necessary to be wise in choosing
the investment that we choose to make.

As long as we are always ready for the investment we will make, we must be willing to take risks in any investment that we allocate our capital to.
That's just what we always do as capitalists, right?
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: May 22, 2024, 05:12:22 AM
No. Trading is only to those who are strong, determined, persistent until they are consistently profitable. Because trading will constantly ripped you off. If you are not able to cope with the changes in the market, it will teach you that lesson in a way of losses. In trading there should be a constant learning and progression of your trading in many aspects. It could be in your system itself, risk management, psychology, exit strategy, or the market sentiment itself. That's why trading is hard and it is only for the people who are willing to put in the work.
well, many think that trading is suitable for everyone. In fact, I came across several cases that some people traded without any basis and followed the hype, and ended up losing. This makes them frustrated because they use up the main money they have, so they say they regret trading. However, I think not everyone will be suitable for trading, especially if he gets stressed easily.

Trading is for anyone who has an interest in learning and takes it seriously. Others want to trade but don't want to study and find out what the depth of it is. All they have in mind is to make money from trading. That's why they often lose in trading.

They don't think that willingness and interest to learn are needed, like learning the basics, learning the tools that can be used in trading, and other things that can help in gaining an understanding of trading in the crypto space.
I think hindi tayo dapat mag completely rely on AI para ito yung magiging sole condition natin to follow yung kanilang prediction. Remember, these AI tools only compile all the written information that has been written and compiled by people in the first place.

Like yung na-suggest ko before, AI prediction websites should be used as a TOOL and not as a main material in determining kung ano ba dapat yung mga cryptocurrencies na tataas or bababa sa presyo. If nag rely tayo sa kanila completely, there will always be some sort of error to the point na baka very avoidable sana.

Sure, maganda ang AI and yung mga nagagawa nito kasi sobrang convenient ang ginagawa nila for us. Pero we should only use this talaga as a tool lang and not the main material. Own research and information will always be superior to that of the findings of an AI and we should not completely rely on the latter solely for our decision in which crypto to invest in.

Well, at the end of the day naman nasa tao nalang talaga kung paniniwalaan nya itong AI o hindi.

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to become a successful trader on: May 21, 2024, 07:59:23 AM

I believe that in order for us to get what we want, we should really focus on that thing. It's easy to think that we want to succeed, but it's hard to do because of the succeeding things we'll go through; in short, it's not easy to reach and get.

Here we can measure how long we will stand or endure as we reach the dreams we want in trading. The subject of crypto trading is still very new; honestly, it is not easy to learn, and the worst part is that there is no shortcut here. The question is, Are you ready? Are you willing to sacrifice? then you must have a source of income before you enter this field. Or if there is nothing, you should be able to do.
19  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippine peso Stablecoin on: May 21, 2024, 07:43:48 AM
okay lang na magkastable coin pero dapat ayusin din ne coinsph ang kanilang mga issues, parang sa mga napapansin ko may mga concerns na dinidisregard nila at the same time may mga account na nabblock din bigla, without a reason, sa pagkakaapprove nmn neto, pagdating sa pinas minsan palakihan nalang talaga ng tapal, mahirap din maghold ng coin nato, best parin is usdt ang ihold at hindi rin coinsph, matagal din ako naggamit ng coinsph pero diko na gusto for now.

Good point kabayan.

20  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Seabank Discussion Thread on: May 21, 2024, 07:31:47 AM

Most likely Bybit na ako nito mag cashout.
