1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cannot connect with seednode on: October 19, 2017, 05:30:35 PM
Hi,

I have developed a Cryptonote fork, called Rawium Coin.

I have recompiled it successfully.

I have created another two seednodes and I mentioned that in config file too.

All I have developed in Google Cloud Computing.

When I run ./rawiumd, it says cannot connect to seed nodes. I tried everything. but does not work.

Any Help?

Make sure there are no network ports blocked that are needed for seeds to talk to nodes or specify a different port in the config.

Nope. I checked it, Port is open. If you can check it.

Hi,

I have created a cryptonote fork.

https://github.com/tariquemansuri/rawium

It was compiled and ran perfectly.

But it cannot connect with seednode.

So any help with creating seed node? I used every help available on internet. But did not work.

I am using google cloud computing for it.

If anybody dont want to help in free , I will give bounties after coin runs and mine perfectly.

Pre-mine is a lot, not ICO? If you have great concepts to deliver, ICO could be better, your project is so-so, I think no ICO is acceptable.

I agree, If you premine big lot by yourself, then its useless and it is not decentralized in a way.

Needs a pool to host a for Cryptonote/Cryptonight.

Coin was launched the other day, but a 3rd party pool is needed for assist a smooth startup.

There was a ~1.7gh/s network rate before pools become dysfunctional.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: New Alternative Coins Pools on: August 25, 2017, 01:31:38 PM
Looks really good but I'm pretty sure miners mining ETH will not migrate to a new pool when there are so many of it existing already but you may have a better chance by adding more coins that are not so popular and the pool might start attracting miners.

You're absolutely right. We have tried ETH before and it didn't work because we were not able to gather enough hashing power to find a block in a reasonable time. A group (BRMiners) made a request to recreate that pool, and we were told that 30+ GH/s would be available right at the very begining. Well, it never happened, not even close to it, and we intend to bring it down soon.

What other coins would you recommend?

I would like to try to get into mining altcoins. I was thinking of first getting a single, not that expensive (1000-2000$) unit and see how it goes.
But I'm having a problem finding them.
I've only found out 3 companies, bitman, innosilicon and baikal. With the last being the most interesting to me with all that different algos it supports, but it's sold out. Not to mention I've read a LOT of complaints about all those 3 companies.

What am I missing here? Is this really how the ASIC market is like?
Do the experienced miners here have any recommendation for me? Smiley

Not sure if I should post this in mining or here...

Is there any coin out there that is easily mined solo?  What sort of hardware requirements should you have in order to actually be able to mine solo successfully.

I'm new to mining and I don't even know where to start so any help will greatly be appreciated. It's not a big rig or anything, I only have this one graphic card and I was wondering If I could generate any profit using it, the electricity here is not expensive so that won't be a problem I assume.

I looked into Monero, but it doesn't seem profitable. I am mining SIGT with 2xGPU, but I thought I might aswell put my CPU to use when I'm not using it.
