Peer-to-Peer anonymous surfing experience

ACCESSIBILITY & ADAPTABILITY
Getting involved in cryptocurrency is a daunting task. Many coins are far too established (nearing end of PoW phase),
resulting in a high price and significant barrier to entry. Furthermore, explaining cryptocurrency to someone not familiar
with the industry is very difficult. We want Intense Coin to be accessible to anyone, hence the selection of a
CPU-dependent miner algorithm (Cryptonight). There are no ASICs for Cryptonight, allowing mining to remain
a level playing field. We will also tailor Intense to appeal to everyone, rather than the esoteric presentation
historically used by most coins.

ANONYMITY
Virtual private networks (VPN) are a mechanism to anonymize and obscure internet traffic from unintended eyes.
VPN popularity has surged in recent history as internet anonymity and censorship have become increasingly perceptible
threats for internet users. Intense seeks to address this call for interest in anonymity by providing an anonymous
cryptocurrency combined with a decentralized peer-to-peer virtual private network. We plan to offer a novel in-wallet
approach to VPNs whereby peers can offer their own internet connections as encrypted tunnels for interested parties.
VPN providers will receive Intense Coin (ITNS) in exchange for their services, and be able to specify rates for their service.
Bitcoin and related implementations have suffered from criticism that the blockchain allows payments to be inexorably traced
and linked, creating a traceable trail of activity and offering a false sense of anonymity. To address this, ITNS utilizes the CryptoNote
protocol which eliminates chain tracing of payments and offers true anonymity.

LONGEVITY
Beginning with a team of highly dedicated and passionate members and ending with an infinite supply coin, our vision is to
create a project that will be utilized many years into the future.

Intense is the fuel and operating currency for our peer-to-peer (P2P) decentralized VPN. It is based on the CryptoNote
technology and uses the exclusive CryptoNight algorithm. Following development and integration of VPN capabilities into
the wallet (see roadmap below), the Intense wallet will allow any network user to act as a VPN exit node in exchange for ITNS.
In order to act as a node, staking of ITNS in the wallet will be required, fostering currency utilization and network growth.
Note that the 'staking' is only to prove ownership and will not yield interest as in conventional PoS definitions.

This establishes a novel approach to staking and creates a hybrid proof-of-work/proof-of-stake (PoW/PoS) purpose for Intense.

Beyond VPN technology, we want ITNS to be useable by more than crypto enthusiasts. We aim for Intense to become a coin
brand that can be utilized, adapted & traded without entry barriers. Imagine your parents or non techy friends using Intense
for the daily shopping rounds, as it is just that simple to use. Our goal is for Intense to be a crypto brand that can be utilized for
exchange of various goods and services with minimal barriers. We want to re-brand crypto from a privilege for technophiles to a
method of compensation accessible by everyday people.

We are a dedicated & passionate core team of 3 people.

Valiant, an academic PhD candidate and full stack developer with 13 years
experience in software engineering and a wide knowledge of C/C++, C#, web and
mobile development.

Alex, an innovative digital marketer (MBA) with 10 years of relevant knowledge
and 5 years of blochain/crypto related experience.

Lucio, a spirited media & graphic designer that creates outstanding visuals.

Does our mission and vision speak to you? We are interested in growing our team and look forward to hearing from you!

PoW algorithm: CryptoNight
Max supply: Technically Infinite, see [2]: 999,481,516 ITNS
Block reward: Initially ~1900, smoothly varying [3]
Block time: 120 seconds
Difficulty: Re-targets at every block

[2] Total number of atomic units is 99948151623421337 (remember, 8 decimal places, so 999,481,516.23421337 ITNS).
However, once the block reward reaches 29 ITNS per minute (about halfway through year 2024) that is treated as the minimum
subsidy, which means that Intense’s total emission will forever increase by ~15,242,400 ITNS annually (about 1.5% inflation rate).

[3] Base reward = (TotalSupply - AlreadyGenerated) * 2^-19 * 10^-8

We have established a premine of 15% (150mil ITNS) [not included in initial 999mil supply];
10% is allocated to the Core Team and 5% to Bounties/Reserves.

Untraceable Payments:
Completely anonymous payment scheme using the ring signature technology which allows you to sign a message on behalf of
a group. The signature only proves the message was created by someone from the group, but all the possible signers are
indistinguishable from each other. A ring signature obscures identities because it only proves that a signer belongs to a group.

This allows a high level of anonymity in cryptocurrency transactions. You can think of it as decentralized and trustless mixing.

Unlinkable Transaction
Even if outgoing transactions are untraceable, everyone may still be able to see the payments you have received and thus
determine your income. However, by using a variation of the Diffie-Hellman exchange protocol, a receiver has multiple unique
one-time addresses derived from his single public key. After funds are sent to these addresses they can only be redeemed by
the receiver; and it would be impossible to cross-link these payments.

Double-spending Proof
Nobody is able to spend the same money twice - even if all his signatures are anonymous. Every signature contains a key image
- a kind of fingerprint of the secret key. It is based on a one-way cryptographic function; this implies that given only the
key image it is impossible to restore the corresponding secret key. These key images are used to prevent double-spending.

Blockchain Analysis Resistance
Non-repeating one-time addresses and mixed keys in ring signatures make the whole blockchain resistant to analysis.
Each future transaction will only increase the entropy and create additional obstacles for an analyst.

Egalitarian Proof of Work
The proof of work mechanism acts as a voting system. Thus, it is crucial that during the voting process all the participants
have equal voting privileges. CryptoNote brings this equality with its egalitarian proof of work, utilizing built-in CPU instructions,
which are very hard and too expensive to implement in special purpose devices, but perfectly suitable for ordinary PCs.

Adaptive Parameters:
A decentralized payment system must not depend on a single person's decisions, even if this person is a developer. There are
no hard-coded constants; magic numbers in the code are designed to be re-calculated based on the previous state of the network.
Thus, they always change adaptively and independently, allowing the network to develop on its own.

Staking the coin means to be a VPN exit node? Good luck with the project.

A 10% developer reward?  Every dev deserves a cut, but 10% is silly.  It's also short-sighted because a smaller reward of 1% to 3% would actually end up being worth more than a 10% reward, because you're going to lose a lot of interested parties.  No one seems to understand this math:

Code:
10% of something no one wants to touch << 1% of something people will actually adopt because they don't need to fear dumping

EDIT: I TOTALLY fucked up some math.  See dev response below.  The supply will outgrow what the devs hold quicker than I thought.  I stand by my comments on 10% still being high, but I do apologize for my bad math.

EDIT: Part of what makes this so stupid is that, with a 1900 initial reward and 2 minute blocktimes, it's going to take well over 2 years for 100 million coins to be mined.  Developer reward is 100 million coins.

THIS MEANS DEVELOPORS ALREADY HAVE MORE THAN THE TOTAL NUMBER OF COINS TO BE MINED OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS.  Think about that.   They will still control almost 50% of this coin two years from now (technically, they will control 40% because of bounties).  Is that something that's going to have any value on exchanges?  Why will anyone buy this coin in 2018 or 2019 if you guys hold 40% of it?

Hi There,

There is no ICO or whatsoever. Any kind of costs, developments, researches, marketing costs are with us.
Further, we aim to run this project long-term and have no intention at all to cause a market crash. As you know we are humans and are driven by a monetary owned society - Call the 10% premine motivation fund, sounds less brutal. Trust is important & required in Crypto to some extend, we are all aware of that.

Anyway, thanks for your input & time Smiley

For the math, How did you calculate 100 million coins? This 100 million coins will be mined within 70 days - not two years.
in two years about 650 million coins will be mined which means our part will be around 15%

I apologize for the bad math, that was my mistake.  I still think holding 15% after two years is pretty high.  It's not a question of whether your intentions are to be trusted.  It's a question of whether the market will bear a 15% ownership stake in the devs' hands.  My guess is it won't, but this is just my analysis and time will tell who's right.

No worries mate:)

I actually haven't seen any ICO project that has only 15% allocated to the founding team. About 99% of recent or upcoming ICO's have between 30-50% allocated + Money raised which are crazy figures.

For us is basically a fair long term alignment of interest.
