1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: September 01, 2017, 08:30:58 PM
Hi guys

Mining Lbry at the moment with 1x GTX 1060 6GB and 1x GTX 1060 3GB:

Both cards are at 90W, mining 163 MH/s and 190 MH/s, around 2.0MH/W
Is there any way I can improve these results? SHould I increase the core clock, as this is the most important parameter when mining LBC?

Hi guys,

So I've been fiddling a bit trying to OC my GPU's into getting a better hashrate

I have 1 GTX 1060 3GB with Hynix memory and 1 GTX 1060 6GB with samsung memory.

These are my current OC settings when mining Skein

GPU 1060 3GB <Hynix>:
Power Limit: 80
Temp limit: 74
Core clock +80
Memory clock +610
Fan: auto
Amount of watt: 95

I get around 252 MH/s

GPU 1060 6GB<Samsung>
Power Limit: 80
Temp limit: 74
Core Clock +100
Memory clock +610
Fan: auto
Amount of watt: 118

Here I get around 303 MH/s

Together: around 252 MH/s

I *think* the Hynix GPU is close to its maximum, but is there a way to squeeze a bit more out of the Samsung GPU and lowering the amount of watts at the same time? Since Samsung RAM allows a bit more OC'ing?

Thanks for the help guys.

I mounted a small fan in the case to add some extra cooling and tweaked the 3GB GPU a bit to reduce the heat.
The 6GB GPU is now 56C, the other one 66C, with even some slight OC'ing.

Hey everyone,

I built a small mining rig of 2 GPU's, 2 GTX 1060 GPU's.

When mining, The first GPU sticks around 63C which is fine, but the other one is around 81C, which is a bit too hot to my liking.

A pic of my setup can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/mREzD The white one is the around 81C.

The reason is not so hard to find. The fans of the white GPU are blowing the air against the other black GPU and it cannot get out. How can I solve this issue? By the way: the case is laying down.

- Is working with risers a way out? Seems a bit strange for a rig with only 2 cards in it...
- Maybe I should get myself another mobo where there is more space between the PCIE slots?
- switching them probably won't solve anything, because in that case the black card would be getting too hot...

Or is 81C nothing to worry about? I've read that certain GPU's can handle 81C, but it will damage the GPU in the long run.

Thanks for your advice!
