1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is There a Token With Ticker BSC? on: July 23, 2025, 07:22:05 AM
I wanted to send some USDT on the Binance chain but the eallet prompt says I needed some BSC to proceed. What does that mean? Is it the same as BNB?
2  Other / Beginners & Help / How Do I Become a Blockchain Engineer? on: June 17, 2025, 08:32:11 PM
I'm considering a career in blockchain engineering.

What training options are available?
Are there courses online that can help me?
What basic skills do I need besides mathematical?
How long does it typically take to become proficient as a blockchain developer?
Must I get a computer-based degree?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to get the WHOIS records showing registrar-hopping by monero.forex? We can also copy bundeskriminalamt@bka.de while reporting monero.forex to the German registrar.

For more actionable reporting, here are some tips: More reports can be sent to Cybersecurity & Anti-Phishing Organizations. For the remaining sites, we can send to
Google Safe Browsing via [Google’s Report Phishing Page](https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/).
   PhishTank (OpenDNS/Cisco): [Report Here](https://www.phishtank.com/).
Netcraft (https://report.netcraft.com/report).
APWG (Anti-Phishing Working Group)**: [Report Here](https://apwg.org/reportphishing/).

Notify Browser & Search Engine Blocklists
   - Microsoft SmartScreen: Report via [Microsoft Defender SmartScreen](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/support/report-unsafe-site).

   - Mozilla Blocklist: Email `blocklist@mozilla.org` (if Firefox isn’t blocking it).

   - Bing Webmaster Tools: Report malicious URLs [here](https://www.bing.com/webmasters/about).

Legal & Law Enforcement Options
   - FTC (U.S.): Report at [ReportFraud.ftc.gov](https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/) (if targeting U.S. users).
   - IC3 (FBI’s Cybercrime Division): File a complaint at [ic3.gov](https://ic3.gov/).
   - Local CERT: If the site is hosted in a specific country, report to their national CERT (e.g., [US-CERT](https://www.cisa.gov/report)).

   - Online suggestion says we can publicly shame unresponsive registrars (e.g., Twitter/X tagging their support).

 Public Warnings (If Safe)
   - Post on forums like Reddit’s r/Scams, Spamhaus, or Malwarebytes to alert others.
   - more reports on virustotal.com can be helpful
 Some vendors may block them.

Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS): https://www.icann.org/urs-en/

You can also submit your complaint at: https://cybercrime.police.gov.cy/police/CyberCrime.nsf/subscribe_en/subscribe_en?openform,

Email: cybercrime@police.gov.cy

Key Evidence to Include
   - Screenshots of phishing pages (with timestamps).
   - Network logs (e.g., `curl` or `traceroute` outputs).
   - Links to archived phishing pages (via [Wayback Machine](https://archive.org/)).

If the sites are still up after these steps, we would assume the registrar/host may be complicit— we should consider naming them in reports to ICANN or legal authorities.

Not a bad idea reporting to Google Safe Browsing.

A central site where you can report to the security community

We'd like to emphasize that we need to focus our efforts on the domains listed.
We have updated some contacts:

Quote

Domains registered with Namecheap are difficult to get suspended, so feel free to call them, send to their headquarters a physical letter, or to mention/tag them on social networks. Any action can help.

Also this might increase motivation of the registrar to suspend these domains if they're marked as phishing by threat intelligence providers, so feel free to report the phishing domains to the following contacts too:

Quote

We would also like to add that the most motivated and active members will receive nice bonuses.

Here re more threat intel platforms to report to:

PhishTank (OpenDNS): submit@phishtank.com

Google Safe Browsing: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen: phish@microsoft.com

Spamhaus: https://www.spamhaus.org/report/

APWG (Anti-Phishing Working Group): reportphishing@apwg.org

VirusTotal: Submit via https://www.virustotal.com/

Why would anyone trust you not to steal their funds if you're able to get it out? You're a newbie asking to help take out $1000 or more. It doesn't make sense to me.
8  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] eXch Anti-Phishing Campaign on: March 28, 2025, 12:40:43 PM
Namecheap seems kind of slow or swamped so I contacted their support via chat since I use their services.

Hello, I emailed your support regarding the activities of two phishing websites, monero.forex and darknetbible.info but nothing has been done about it.

Thank you for your patience. It appears that you recently sent an email to our Legal and Abuse department. Please allow them some time to review your request, as legal and abuse cases may take longer to process.

Bitcoin gives a measure of freedom that's all. Love isn't attached to it because it's something inanimate. Bitcoin can hardly even make you rich these days so it's nothing special except to early adopters.

16  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can't Find The Seed Phrase of My Atomic Wallet on: February 04, 2024, 03:25:48 PM
Were you saying I can re-install and get my old wallet back? Please what's the procedure?

I could be wrong though.

You can try going to this path (change OmegaStarScream by your actual username): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5275094.msg55175110#msg55175110

And see if you find the specified file inside. If so, maybe it's worth backing it up, and reinstalling Atomic Wallet and see if you can get the same wallet again.

I couldn't find the file, so I just re-installed Atomic wallet and it saved as Atomic Wallet (1) gave me the impression that the old wallet was still on the drive. I opened it and it was my old wallet. Thank you so much. I wouldn't have known it's still there without your suggestion. I actually abandoned the wallet for a long time due to its high fees so I have my coins back.
17  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can't Find The Seed Phrase of My Atomic Wallet on: February 03, 2024, 08:48:02 PM
I had an Atomic wallet I uninstalled months ago. I didn't care to write down the recovery seeds offline but wrote them in a document in my computer.

Are you sure that you wrote them in a document? because you can easily find all the docs on your PC by using the search button and adding the keyword "*.doc" without quotes.
If the search button in your Windows computer does not work try to download software called "Everything" from voidtools and use that software to search all docs using the keyword above.

Once you found all the docs check them one by one if you could find your backup seed phrase.
For other keywords if the extension is not .doc you can use "*.txt" "*.xls" "*.htm" and "*.pdf".

Lets hope that you can find the file you looking for.

I saved the seeds of several wallets in a Google Doc document. I've been going through the history if one that matched but there's nothing. Any idea how to search Google Docs linkd to different email accounts at once withe 'Everything' Still trying to figure out how to use the software.

I tried to check if I could find the wallet file in the AppData folder, but I couldn't find it. If I knew which file to look for, I could've suggested you try to look for it, maybe it's still there.
I'm not an Atomic Wallet user but while I was searching on Google, I stumbled upon one of your posts from a few years back that appears to be "pointing to where the wallet file was located".

Good catch, completely forgot about that.

I was checking "Atomic wallet" folder instead of "atomic". The wallet seems to create two different folders in the AppData.

Were you saying I can re-install and get my old wallet back? Please what's the procedure?
18  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can't Find The Seed Phrase of My Atomic Wallet on: February 03, 2024, 12:37:45 PM
Without the seedphrase, there isn't much you can do to recover the wallet unless you have the wallet file which might have been uninstalled with the software but even if it wasn't, I'm not sure which file you should be looking for. If you check the "AppData" folder for Atomic wallet (I just did) there are no wallet files there.
What do you mean by the bolded?
19  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Can't Find The Seed Phrase of My Atomic Wallet on: February 03, 2024, 11:46:02 AM
I had an Atomic wallet I uninstalled months ago. I didn't care to write down the recovery seeds offline but wrote them in a document in my computer. It's got less than $50 worth of digital assets that's why I wasn't interested in backing it up. Now, I see a lot of guys buying old wallets on Reddit and was like "If I sell all those wallets i'm not using, it couold add up" I cam to BTT to figure out why folks are buying old wallets to also benefit from the airdrops or whatever but found nothing. So I made up my mind to recover my old Atomic wallet but can't find the recovery seed. I only know the password. How do I get it and sell to wallet buyers since some of these wallets have been of little use to me in months.

You didn't talk about payment man. Folks are interested in converting their passion to money. Would you mind explaining the benefits of joining your Bitcoin history debar recognition? I mean, it's not like you're giving a service cross for involvement. How much in btc are you willing to pay participants? Thanks.
