Well, if support gets enough requests for this then potentially
Dont be naive. I read the announcement within about 15 minutes after it was released. I wrote the ticket immediately and the Web page said there are 4000+ tickets in the queue.

It's like. Yeah north Korea won't be ever be able to enrich plutonium. Then next year yeah NK is decade away from building an ICBM. Then next year yeah they are at least 3 years away from minituarising nuclear device. Then 9 month later. FUCK they are aiming right between our eyes..

Sometime I wonder how you Americans can find your pants in the morning.

But you still believe it's sufficiently profitable to mine BTC yourself
Im afraid I don't have an answer.. I am currently thinking of buying a bazooka and shooting their latvian-Russian mafiozo arises to the moon.

The 95% of polish migrants in the UK are builders and nurses etc. Honest working folks. There are almost none of Czechs and Hungarians (cos they just don't like work). And from the baltic states are quite a lot of them and 90% are mafia and prostitutes.

it is already has been the end of the cloud mining. because Hashflare and GM were the last of the mohicans who were actually using hardware to mine for the customers and not a Ponzi scheme. However as you can see the hashflare shoot themselves in the groin and GM (if you haven't heard) are in troubles so much that they are franticly running a Ponzi temporarily to close the gap after most of their and their customers money were stolen. And I am not sure they will survive. So there is nothing left.. Read the news or something..

ok. here is an example..

dude walks to buy some milk. he has makeup and long black coat and weird ugly boots.. and there another guy walks about. he has shaven head and wears red-white checkered shirt.

the second guy assumes that the first guy is a homo and he hates homos and beats him up breaks his nose and cracks some ribs.. while the first guy was just walking to buy some FREAKING milk

if you catch my drift

thanks for contributing though..

I decided to put it in a cellar

Really? So.. tell us.. how many antminers s7 do you have? Have you preordered s9? A dozen?
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare screwed us up. on: September 02, 2017, 06:13:31 PM
It is irrelevant if you believe or not.

It has happened. All my hash rates now have expiry date in 2018 from the date they been added. Including those bought before 1st of September.

As Peter Griffin said once - Christians don't believe in gravity.. so I guess you are one of them..

Sure. I was hoping someone knows a website that I can just look for 15 sec rather than sitting 2hrs scrupulously writing down things on a paper. . But if there is none I'll do that
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Good article on network security of a miner? on: September 02, 2017, 02:44:10 PM
I am interested to see some tech tips on how to make your mining network less prone for attacks. How hackers find them? Should I separate it from my home network? Can it be a switch or I have to have totally independent internet connection etc..

If youre just mining with a couple of units, you should be fine behind a normal SOHO grade router / firewall.   Be careful not to open up any weird ports coming in on the router (Port forwarding, virtual server etc.).  The less doors that are open, the less likely it will be for a hacker to fund their way into your network.

If you've secured your internet connection, the next easiest way for an attacker to get to your miners would be to compromise one of your laptops / desktops / phones that have access to the same network and use them to access your miners.   An easy way to avoid this would be to separate your mining network from your home network.  You can add a second router 'down stream' from your first one and use it to connect your mining equipment.  This second network would treat your house network as if it were the internet (WAN) and would keep most access / ports closed (you could even disable wifi if you want since it wont be needed).   This will limit your ability to manage the miners from devices in your house that aren't part of that mining network.

ed with the miners would be an option to make that a bit easier.
great answer. thank you! (I wonder why there is no thank you button on this forum?)

Zero physical access. Don't care if they mine for someone else (I'll wake up next morning and gain access back). Do not want the bitcoint stolen though.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How do you conceal your operation? on: September 02, 2017, 02:38:34 PM
Mining setup generates a lot of noise. How do you hide it from neighbours?  I don't want them to run to the tax authorities... especially considering latest moves on bitcoin taxation in the EU.

If you trying to conceal something, then you don't need to be doing it. There is no way that you are going to be able to get away with anything illegal. You might be able to do it for a short. Of time but eventually you will get caught. The best way to not get caught committing a crime is to stop committing the crimes.

It isn't Illegal, it sounds more so like this neighbors are tech noobs and lets not kid ourselves pretty much all police are.  He is just trying to avoid unneeded drama.
exactly. Thanks.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Hashflare screwed us up. on: August 31, 2017, 11:12:07 PM
Hashflare changed contract terms unilaterally and gave clients 0 days warning. In fact 0 seconds.

Sent out the following letter at midnight today

Previously they been selling 10 ghs at 1.20 so it's a markup of healthy 100% which is OK it's their hardware. But then they broke all contracts and changed indefinite term to 1 yr which would be somewhat legal if customers who disagree get their money back. You cannot change a contract without both sides signing it off. It's illegal even in zimbabwe.

Dear users,

The cryptocurrency industry has always been susceptible to a high amount of volatility, and recent global changes have been some of the most significant. Due to an industry-wide hardware deficit, many market participants, especially mining hardware manufacturers, have to adjust their operations, procurements, terms, and prices of ASIC miners and their delivery.

Per Section 5 of Hashflare Terms of Service, SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts are now also subject to change. The changes, which mainly cover the terms and the prices of the contracts will become effective on September 1, 2017.

The new price for 10 GH/s of SHA-256 will be $2.40, while 1 MH/s of Scrypt will now cost $11.50. The maintenance & electricity fee will remain the same.

All new SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts will be issued for a limited term of 1 year from the moment of activation. All SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts activated prior to 01.09.2017 will expire on 31.08.2018.

Sincerely,
Hashflare.io team

EDIT 03/09 : the changes have happened. So please don't write "I don't believe so". The expiry dates on all hash rates are now in 2018 and reinvestments are at double price.

I am new here so forgive me if some parts of it look silly..

I am interested the take of the bitcoin in hindsight from people who actually lived through 2012-17 mining or trading bitcoin.

Could you please share the essence of the times. Jumps from gpu to asic and then asics wars and prices rise then drop the stagnate for couple years. And now it's skyrocketing.

I am interested how did you manage in the aspects :

- the tech wars (did you engage or stay away or skip a generation of hardware and jump again in etc)
- your bitcoins (did you dump or held, have you sold it now or still holdin etc)
- your emotions. Did you feel and are still feeling it has future or it was yoyoing between f.ck it and I am over the moon

Thanks in advance

Yeah I know it's just a banter anyway. Who has time to read questions while there are so many answers.. I got it. Really..

But just for the sake of argument I don't really mine in the pool. I just select something in my dashboard which looks like I do. But who knows what's going on there. I have piece of a cloud service (yes I know they all are scam but can a man hope?)

16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Bank Transfer Issues on: August 27, 2017, 12:30:24 PM
It's a security issue. Their sec advisor says it's a transaction which might make headache for the bank from anti laundering and/or homeland security and/or fbi so they ditched it. Whatever criminal lawyer says the bank has most certainly an obscure clause which let's them do this. So go and find another bank. You cannot fight the system.

Just to stress for the sceptics - the bank in this case is just a front line of the system.. but real trouble is inside the world powers which are feeling uneasy of not having power over this part of the world.

The struggle has just began. You will see more of this pretty soon.. lot more and lot more nasty.

At what time largest pools post profits to the user's wallets?

Is there a website to see major pools cut off time. I assume they do it daily.. right?

It's always great you can go in and find it nice easy-going and hit it for about an hour and put together twenty bucks worth of coins.
no that won't be feasible for me. First I only can change once in 24hrs  second it's not much money to dich my job and sit and watch stats real time 24/7 Smiley

Ps I settled on f2pool and I don't think I need to hop really.
