hi guys, Im just wondering what stakes means? i often saw it on some of the bounty here on forum like for example.

I am not looking for an overly developed ICO, but focusing on upcoming, and newly developing ICO with great ambitions.
Before I do that, I just want some advice in determining a good ICO.
Any thoughts?
Ico related to the 4th industry is good. And, above all, the ico of a project that can be used by anyone more than an unrealistic (not much used) ico is superior. |

Ethereums only actual real use case thus far has been issuing ICO's. Billions worth of ICO tokens have been deployed by Ethereum's smart contracts.
Now imagine what would happen if governments really banned ICO's... I don't see how Ethereum wouldn't suffer from a massive crash.
Bitcoin would probably be fine, except the same idiots as always that sell at any headlines containing ban+crypto/bitcoin would also dump, but it would quickly recover. Ethereum... not so much.
Let's hope this was it for Bitcoin and we are going back to $5000 now, double bottomed and it's going up. Hopefully not heads and shoulders formation with further drop, that would suck.
The Etheruem = ICO Maker is only relevant to the Homestead version. Ethereum still has two more version updates left. It is impossible to judge Etheruem with the present standard. State regulations have just begun. There will be more and more regulations in the future. It is quite hard to determine the value with the current situation. |

Let's say a research institution wanted to populate a database of animals going extinct.
Those interested in investing are more interested in the general good of the outcome.
Not as much in the exact definition of the value of the coin.
How could not-for-profits benefit from creating an alt coin?
“Profit base” is the limit for the profit based altcoins. However, ‘not-for-profit’ coins overcome the limits. Bitcoin did not promise a profit, but many people have made benefits. |

China is not exactly a 100% democratic country. In other words, the nature of the country is that all the people will have to comply with the regulations when the regulations are started. But most other countries are a little different. Regulations such as China can be regulated, but as regulations tighten, all investment ecosystems, including the ico, will escape to other countries, which can ultimately be disadvantageous to countries with severe regulations. Rather, in contrast to China's regulations, other countries can take the opportunity to positively attract ico. Therefore, given the long-term growth of the ico ecosystem, this regulation will not necessarily look bad. |
