1  Other / Serious discussion / Why SBF testify without Jury? on: October 26, 2023, 10:56:50 PM
Sam bankman Fried is testifying today without a Jury. The judge sent the jury home and wants him to testify privately first. We will never know what he says today. What do you think this means?

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Traditional Finance markets trading on DeFi on: October 26, 2023, 10:54:15 PM
Hi everyone,

This is an interesting article pointing out the budding interest from traditional finance in trading FX and other financial instruments using DeFi rails - https://www.coinfeeds.io/daily/traditional-finance-on-defi-rails

This is a pretty interesting development, do you think it has legs?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blackrock ETF Discussion on: October 25, 2023, 09:03:42 PM
It is very interesting that Blackrock ETF, which was on DTCC's site since August, suddenly caused so much speculation yesterday and then was taken off the site. What do you guys think? Is an ETF coming soon? How come no one took notice of DTCC's site until yesterday?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Exploring an Emerging Omnichain Interoperability Protocol - LayerZero on: August 13, 2023, 03:47:46 AM
Wanted to share an informative new blog post introducing LayerZero, a promising protocol that enables seamless and secure transactions across different blockchains.

The article covers:

How LayerZero works as an omnichain solution to connect blockchains
Background on its founding team
LayerZero's mechanisms for valid message delivery
Impressive ecosystem growth and integration
Tutorial for getting started with LayerZero via Stargate Finance
As interoperability becomes more important in the blockchain space, protocols like LayerZero have great potential to unlock frictionless value transfer and liquidity aggregation across chains.

Let me know your thoughts on LayerZero and cross-chain protocols in general. Excited to discuss further!

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin's twitter account? on: January 24, 2021, 10:47:57 PM
That's what I thought. But I'm doing a twitter network analysis for crypto, so I'm trying to think of what to do for Bitcoin.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin's twitter account? on: January 24, 2021, 10:20:27 PM
Bitcoin a community thing, so you will find that different community channels and websites related to Bitcoin are run by different individuals/admins.
There is this Twitter account - https://twitter.com/Bitcoin, But I think it's under the control of the same person behind https://bitcoin.org

yea that is a good candidate. I have been reading this article about the account: https://news.bitcoin.com/who-controls-the-bitcoin-twitter-account/

CoinGecko lists @btc, so that is another candidate.

I was just curious what are some other good candidates.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is Bitcoin's twitter account? on: January 24, 2021, 10:04:02 PM
Most other cryptos now have an official twitter account -- (for example @ethereum is the official twitter account of the ethereum foundation, and so forth for most coins). What is the twitter account that best represents Bitcoin?

Dear Bounty Manager,

I am participating in the signature bounty, and please change my ether address to: 0x8A419E49555dc54Cc2d54780B844ACcC419749bE

Thank you.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 22, 2018, 04:53:13 AM
He is AI from the future that traveled back in time to teach us about blockchain so that we would build it and allow AI to propagate itself.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple Vs NEO on: January 21, 2018, 01:17:03 AM
NEO supports smart contracts, and many new ICOs are launching off of NEO. Ripple doesn't support smart contracts, so it doesn't support other ICOs and therefore there would be less of an ecosystem around it.
Ripple is just something that offers cost savings benefits without the decentralization element of a real blockchain. I can see why banks like it because of that though.

Hi I'd like to request change of ether address for the signature bounty please, I have PMed Murtaja about this, not sure if that is the right way to go about -- I think there is a rule where I may not post ether addresses here. Please let me know how I can change my address. Thank you.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WaBi Hold or sell? on: January 20, 2018, 08:23:31 PM
you can sell some for a quick profit and keep the rest. Usually even with good coins, price is very volatile and there's usually a bit of correction after a large pump / good news coming out, but then the price will eventually recover and continue to climb. If you set aside a bit to sell at highs to buy back in at lows, while still having a stash that you hodl, you can make a lot of money.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: INT Chain - Internet Node Token (big partnerships, mainnet by end of January) on: January 19, 2018, 06:17:23 AM
those are fake partnerships all new chinese icos do. They register in a free site of IBM, SAP, etc. and claim to have "partnership"- wich is a lie.
I looked at iNT chain very carefully and i can say that due the regulations coming, this is a very bad investment atm. Just stay away from chinese icos genereally.

Staying away from Chinese ICOs would have been one of the most unprofitable things you could have done in 2017?
