1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: solo mining Local hash rate vs pool hash rate please help on: January 10, 2018, 04:28:43 PM
Well Thank you all for the insight, I am really grateful for this group of geniuses and I would not have been able to start earning so fast!

I am learning very fast!

I live in the states.. Tristate area-- Jersey to be exact-- would love to network with some locals- I have free energy and access to a warehouse with FREE POWER!! Yess NO POWER COST AT ALL _ I also do not pay my utility bill in my apartment either hence why i feel it was most profitable to try the solo route-

Some guy who was trying to sell me the Avalon and S9s initially showed me his own pool and basically showed me how mined a whole block in a little over a month using roughly over 70 Terrahash not using a pool. Was he blowing smoke? I mean he showed me a bunch of screens similar to what i posted in the picture and it seemed like he actually found and solved that block...

How would I know if I actually found the block?

I also downloaded the bitcoin core client and wanted to start using that and getting my payouts via the core client and helping the network by running fibre out here.. would that help the network? is that beneficial?

I posted a picture above- I am trying to get my local hash rate up-
Thank you for the advice- I was mining on slush pool and ant pool and noticed the return on ant pool was horrible... I needed to do something to recover the costs of the return on investment... I figured solomining or mining not thru ant/slush pool would be most profitable. ie solo route..

realizing i have bit off more than i can chew for the time being I have set up KanoPool but would like to see what I am doing incorrectly to get my local hash rate higher on the picture I posted previously- is there a post somewhere or thread with the settings or "how to" on what the settings should look like..

What does this all really mean lol?

Local: 2355MH/s in last 10.0 minutes Local dead on arrival: ~0.0% (0-2%) Expected time to share: 173.3 days
2018-01-09 00:11:47.949380  Shares: 9 (0 orphan, 0 dead) Stale rate: ~0.0% (0-30%) Efficiency: ~103.3% (72-104%) Current payout: (17.9861)=17.9861 BTC
2018-01-09 00:11:47.949466  Pool: 220TH/s Stale rate: 3.2% Expected time to block: 1.2 years

Did i even find a block? or is it telling me that it will take me 1.2 years to find one lol :O

I'm running a local p2pool (in the terminal) and the status of the s9 shows it's working, i think!
If I understand correctly the local hashrate should be the same as the one I see in the miner's status? the other thing would be the pool hash which as pointed out is quite high? any clues what am I missing?

wavelengths can i send you a message? I am struggling a took some screen shots but can not figure out how the hell to post them on here- Noob problems Sad

and is solo mining really wasteful? I thought it was the fastest best way to recoup your ROI- and with the current rate blocks are being found and data on fork.lol it seems the probability is increasing-

I have more power that If i found a block which I want to know if i did that I would dedicate all my power to solving that block...
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / solo mining Local hash rate vs pool hash rate please help on: January 08, 2018, 07:55:59 PM
hey guys-

ive taken on the task of solo mining and want to ensure I am doing it correct

I have a few questions regrading the (dead on arrivals, stales orphans) been going through a plethora of old posts and running a few tests and brought the effeciency up to 103% and less dead and less dead but still dont think im doing it right..
before i throw all my S9s on the solo lottery i wanna ensure i am doing it correctly-

the pool rate shows my ~70 Th/s but local only shows 2956 Mh/s  how do I bring that local hash rate up?!

any settings I should be looking for or anything I should refer to specifically?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate all the posts and i apologize if this is the right place- im still a noob Smiley

ofc you will put your email, consider the escrow itself leave his email as contact and we need his services, obviously its good idea to leave any form of contact consider he's not using skype or anything like that.
or now you blaming me that some retards around (and they are 12312321321) trying to scam you because your email is public?
welcome to the bitcoin community where everyone is trying to rob you.
and me (the one who requested fair and honest trade via escrow) was pointed with bad names for no reason, just because i wanted the trade with the new member (you) to be secured via escrow?
you need some professional medical help mate.
im aware of the scammers around and i protect myself, but you or anyone stupid enough to fall on the scammers attempts deserve to be scammed.
i was glad that you didn't fall on those retards attempts, but now after seeing your lame excuses and trying to point fingers randomly to people who are looking to trade only via escrow because its the only safe say, i don't feel glad that they didn't catch you.

Edit: Also, stating you have some kind of proofs or anything, do you mind show the community, how im connected with the retards trying to scam you ?
or you just have evidences that you fucking placed your contact details public and you are easy target to everyone who trying to scam around?
at least, try to use your brain, you will get headache for sure but at least you may realize whats going on around you.

WHAT EVERYONE SHOULD NOTE AND ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SEE THE SCREEN SHOTS CAN PM ME PRIVATELY IS THAT THIS ASSCLOWN DANOS TOLD ME TO INITIATE THE ESCROW BY EMAILING AND SENDING A PM ON THE FORUM- I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE TO THE EMAIL THE BUYER REQUESTING PROTECTION!! YET HE SOMEHOW WAS ABLE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THE ESCROW VIA EMAIL (THE WORST METHOD OF CONTACT MIND YOU) BUT I WAS NEVER ABLE TO GET A RESPONSE, THEN GETS MAD AT ME FOR NOT SENDING THE SCREEN SHOTS TO SOME THIRD PARTY EMAIL CLAIMING TO BE ESCROW AS MENTIONED IN MY INITIAL POST. I WAS THE ONE AT RISK TO BE SCAMMED WITH MY MONEY , YET HES FLIPPING THE SCRIPT- HES GOT SOMETHING COMING

IF ANYONE WANTS TO SEE SCREENSHOTS PM ME

Hi im new and I feel I almost got sucked in and scammed last night-

Although the user involved isnt a newbie the way I went about the escrow was completely wrong upon reading this section- I tried to use Monbux- but there was another email that linked to monbux- first it seemed like i was dealing with the monbux.bitcointalk but the email was chemakotka11@gmail.com than another email from nicollesmith98uk@gmail.com - I was very confused- i wanted to purchase an S9 i have been looking on here for a while but i dont know who or what to trust and not sure how to proceed.

Can someone give some advice or give some insight- I thought the intital user was legit who himself was pointing out shady users- but then again after reading this i realized real quick if its too good to be true it usually is and that i never got a response from the actual escrow account itself- thats when i had to cancel the gift card transaction but i want to make purchases and transactions securely in the future

I requested escrow dealing with this jerk.
Why calling him jerk? Because i requested escrow for s9 sale and told him to request escrow "monbux" because i found him the most trusted around.
After him posting his email requesting escrow service, few scammers contacted him obviously trying to rob him, and this idiot not only refusing to use escrow because some retards around trying to catch him, but also point me with bad names saying im the one trying to trick him.
So, idiot, i told you twice, we using escrow and escrow only because you are shady as fuck and i will never deal you directly.
I told you also twice to never respond anyone else than monbux but you obviously did and then trying to clean yourself pointing other people with bad names for no reason.
Well guess what, you are proven failed scammer or an idiot who can't run away properly when your scam got failed.
For all people reading this, please, beware that idiot is trying to waste your time and pull you with some bullshit story so he can cover his failed attempt to scam.
Beware and always request escrow using this guy.
You were warned

DANOS IS THE GUY WHO TOLD ME TO PUT MY EMAIL IN THE THREAD TO THE ESCROW! HE KNEW I WAS A NEWBIE AND TRIED TO EXPLOIT ME!! HE PRESSURED ME AND I DIDNT ACCUSE ME BUT AFTER HE CALLED ME AN IDIOT I HAVE SCREEN SHOTS AND EMAIL PROOF THAT I WAS NOT DEALING WITH MONBUX BUT A FRAUD MOST LIKELY DANOS! BEWARE WHEN DEALING WITH PUNKS TRYING TO RUSH YOU INTO SENDING THEM AMAZON GIFT CARDS TO EXPEDITE A TRANSACTION! SHADY AS FUCK IS RIGHT ! YOU WOUDLNT PROVIDE ANY PROOF OF THE S9 AND I NEVER RECIEVED ANY MESSAGES FROM THE ACTUAL ESCROW SERVICE EVER! IT WAS ALWAYS A FAKE ACCOUNT! WITH THE EMAILS MENTIONED IN MY ORIGINAL THREAD

9  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Got multiple unpaid antminer s9 and D3 orders from the presale on bitmain today on: September 26, 2017, 10:04:26 PM
I can smell some rotten fish, because I also ordered multiple S9 and D3's today, where I specified the payment mode as Wire Transfer, and I have 7 days to pay.

If someone wants these Miners, you can pay the cost + premium, and I can have BitMain ship the Miner directly to your address, provided it is in the US.

BitMain allows you to change the address, as long as it is in the same country.

I am interested can you send me a PM please

11  Bitcoin / Hardware / S7 beeping and RED LIGHT AND INTERNET ISSUE? Please help? newbie on: August 25, 2017, 11:38:47 PM
I AM SORRY IN ADVANCE IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED AND ANSWERED- I TRIED TO SEARCH BUT GOT LOST IN OTHER THREADS OF GREAT DISCUSSIONS...

I have an S7 that overheated and then when i powered it back up i couldnt get the miner onto the network.. seems like the ethernet port may have burnt out there is a beeping noise and instead of a green blinking light its now a red blinking light...

any advice would be helpful, im crying at night seeing the price rise of BTC and this miner just idling around...

Can this be repaired... sent back is it worth it? can i salvage the chips?
i have S5s but they are slower than molasses and loud and hot. it is difficult to leverage them and power them at same time.

Have a S7- working 4-THS  A R4 WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE BEAST OF THEM ALLLL QUIET EFFICIENT NOT USING A LOT OF PSU... SHOULD IT USE MORE PSU-- SHOULD I RAM UP THE FREQUENCY ON THAT ONE??

R4-~5TH/s

s5 500gig hash-- am i supposed to update the firmware on these at all or anything-- or just straight plug and play??

Thanks in advance!!

Im just Tryn 2 Eat 2!!

1Love
