Wow you have so much OMGs. I'm jealous. I missed out on OMG and at current price I'm hesitant to buy it. Imo, you should save some BTC and get more high market cap ones such as monero, zcash and eth. Also, I still think ubiq is undervalued so you should accumulate a bit more ubiq while it's cheap. I love that you have 150 waves and 60 stratis. GL!

I also believe in ZEN. Glad I found this coin when it was $5 in fiat. I think it's still undervalued. Devs seem active and I like their marketing in Asia.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in? on: September 03, 2017, 05:38:26 PM
Hi All,
An considering buying 5 top cryptocurrencies and storing them in a wallet till the prices are up then I can sell them.
Please, kindly recommend any 5 crytocurrencies that has a promising future.
Thanks
What about those coins have the low marketcap and i meant that was relate to the top 50 - 100 coinmarket cap, because that still has a lot of the potential in the future because the room for the growth still always there.
It looks to be a good choice. The price of top 10 coin market cap is too high.

There's no guarantee that mid cap alts are going to be around even for a year. Most of them don't even have a good use and are pumped&dumped all the time. For long term, I'd recommend high cap coins. The only mid cap alt for long term I strongly believe in is UBQ. If I had to choose another mid cap alt, I would pick ZEN. For short term, there're many good ones.

For UBQ and ZEN, which wallet can one store it in and where does one buy it from...?
This is my first time of hearing about it..

You can buy UBQ and ZEN at bittrex. Both have hardworking devs and GUI wallets.
UBQ is basically a fork of ETH and ZEN is a privacy coin.

If you don't have a specific exit plan, you're better off holding solid coins with high market cap.
1, BTC
2, LTC
3, XMR
4, ZEC
5, ETH

Hello Crypto World,

I currently have 16 coins (low amt) and looking to invest $1k into my portfolio.  I'm a long-term investor.

My question - what are your thoughts on spreading across 5 coins: LSK, NEO, STRAT, QTUM, OMG, or topping off XRP?

I don't own any of the 5 coins, however I do own a small amt of XRP.

Thanks in advance

Unless you are risk loving person, I don't think you should put all your money into one coin.
It's always better to diversify and accumulate over time.
Also, it is alway a good idea to keep an extra 20% BTC in your portfolio.
To me,  LSK, NEO, QTUM, OMG are risky assets because I feel like they were over hyped and overbought last month.
If your thinking long term, definitely you should get some LTC.
I personally like low cap anon coins.
But who knows what's gonna happen this month,,,
This is just my 2cents.
