sarcasm aside, I'm failing to see the utility of this myself, unless they ARE some form of a paper wallet.
Let me rephrase that. I can see LOCAL utility, but if the physical coin does not have a way to translate to the blockchain, then it isn't SHA, it's something else. And what makes cryptos unique amongst currencies is a combination of a few factors.
1. Instant transfers (not counting confirmation, of course) anywhere in the world without the need of third parties. (physical coins defeat this!)
2. No central issuance. The coin IS the blockchain! (physical coins defeat this!)
3. irreversibility of transactions. (this one is true of both forms)
The other factors of cryptocurrency are common to all forms of money, so I'll not belabor them here. But the first two items on my list are cause for a great deal of concern on my part. You need to be REALLY specific in what you're doing here, Frank. So far, I've had your back on the revival. I don't stand opposed now, but physical coins that, on reading it, don't appear to have any connection to the block chain is very concerning.
I know you are very worried about this thing. by doing this, we will have both systems, virtual and physical. then we can be a currency. it seems no connection? actually, the physical coins have the name SHA Coin on it, so they have connections. anyone get them will know they are SHA Coins. as long as we continue to move forward, keep making physical coins, then we can succeed with physical and virtual. and of course, if we can succeed with ver.1 physical coins, then we can start to define the coin's amount of SHA with different metals, sizes in ver.2. if we working much better, then maybe we can have our own banknote system. finally we can act like a currency, with metals backed. Probably backing up physical "version" of currency with BLOCKCHAIN will be better than with metals  |

I have not tried to contact the dev yet but am wondering what it would take to revive this coin. I am truly interested but have totally different ideas then what the community is currently accustomed to. Please do not criticize me or anything else, I am just looking for an opportunity to change the game. If anyone has information or personal contacts with the dev (in the event they don't respond) please send me a message. I see coins die everyday that have true potential in one way or another but they are lacking some very basic fundamentals. If you are a venture capitalist or someone interested in my game plan feel free to contact me. This does not mean this coin is going to the moon, but I think through hard work and development early adopters of this coin can definitely benefit from it. I am an honest person who wants to see the crypto world evolve and I believe I have just the game plan for it. Again if you have personal contacts with the dev team or information of how to perform a takeover, let me know. I might not have a trillion posts in this forum but I have motivation and belief and that is something the world has been founded on for success. If you can help and are skeptical, I am willing to Skype or whatever to prove to you I am for real. Thank you all and I hope to hear from at least some of you.

Okay, thank you for your input but I'll kindly wait for more members of community to share their thoughts. Sad, but without at least significant part of my original coins I doubt if I'll be still interested in this coin. bad experience and feeling of being scamed does not look appealing |

Who knows what could been happened to DIEM 1 without this revival.
It may be still live, it may have been revived otherwise.
so I can't think of this coin as of different one.

Ofcource I'm a bit angry now and my post here drives some negative patterns, but I was extremely polite in PMs, and I first tried to deal with current maintainers trying to avoid bringing another few pages of flood into this thread |

Well, I was not thinking of this coin as scam before I was declined in recovering my original coins That's why I've asked for them in the first place. and problem here is very fast decisions about "what to do with coins that we premined in order to hand over original owners". - "oh, let's use them somehow and leave original owners with nothing" - "true, that will help us maintain lower coin supply thus increasing price of each coin" Not all ppl can or have ability to watch after all coins at daily basis, especially when there are no words about changing blockchain in OP I have no problem in donating part of my coins for future development if those coins will be eventually handed to me. |

howcome this coin had a living community on irc and bitcointalk, and now its so quiet on both places.
There is nobody in the irc channel not even the devs/revivers :s
It is called "The Calm Before the Storm" True. For example I'm silent, but that does not mean I'm not keeping an eye on this one |
