eddyfitz, why would you want a coin that you think is a scam? See any problem with this line of thinking? Coins given to people a month after the deadline are given voluntarily by community members and usually to nice people. There was a very long time to claim these DIEM and many announcements here and in the exchanges.
Coming on here to ask the community for help while suggesting something that hurts that very community makes no sense. If you put your DIEM addy in your signature than maybe I and others may send you some coin.
Keep in mind, not all of us got to mine this but we have been able to buy up a lot of cheap DIEM. It's still cheap. And the new devs are about as honest as they get. There was even a vote as to what should be done with the unclaimed coins. Using those coins would now be going against the community vote.
A screen shot of your wallet would also help of course. You may not recover all of them, but if it makes you feel any better I lost about that much do to a wallet issue I had on another computer. That was the old DIEM. No one is responsible for that loss but me.

Well, I was not thinking of this coin as scam before I was declined in recovering my original coins That's why I've asked for them in the first place. and problem here is very fast decisions about "what to do with coins that we premined in order to hand over original owners". - "oh, let's use them somehow and leave original owners with nothing" - "true, that will help us maintain lower coin supply thus increasing price of each coin" Not all ppl can or have ability to watch after all coins at daily basis, especially when there are no words about changing blockchain in OP I have no problem in donating part of my coins for future development if those coins will be eventually handed to me.

When this thread was created it was right in the Header of it. Not on the old thread of course. It was on there for about 4 weeks.

that's what I'm talking about: I have not seen it in those 4 weeks. and I bet alot of people was just like me. Ofcource I'm a bit angry now and my post here drives some negative patterns, but I was extremely polite in PMs, and I first tried to deal with current maintainers trying to avoid bringing another few pages of flood into this thread

To put this in perspective. If the devs did not revive the coin you would have exactly what you have now. DIEM version 1. A dead coin.
It is customary for there to be a deadline for this sort of community take-over. An indefinite trade in period is not sustainable. I understand that it sucks to miss out. But that is just it. You can't really see yourself as an "original owner" with indefinite rights to the second version of a coin. It is essentially an entire other coin. The distribution was based on the original distribution and with the longest exchange period I have ever seen.
Again, post a screen of your wallet. Links to transactions could be pulled from anywhere, I hope you understand that some level of verification is needed for people to chip in. Do that and I will give you 1% of your loss. Not mined but out of my own hard earned cash. If I see you around in this thread (as a friendly face) from time to time than I and others may feel compelled to continue to add to the recovery.

Who knows what could been happened to DIEM 1 without this revival. It may be still live, it may have been revived otherwise.
so I can't think of this coin as of different one.

Well you got those coins. So DIEM version one is yours to do something with if you want. But you will probably find better company here.

Technically, yes. I see a problem. But my point is that the community voluntarily turned in old coin for new. Majority take over so yes you can't do much with the old. So we don't get sidetracked here I can only say that you have the option of joining a nice community and rebuilding your DIEM wealth. As takeovers go, I doubt you will find a more fairly handled one is all.

Okay, thank you for your input but I'll kindly wait for more members of community to share their thoughts. Sad, but without at least significant part of my original coins I doubt if I'll be still interested in this coin. bad experience and feeling of being scamed does not look appealing

Scam is an oft misused term, but I can understand that it may not hold your interest without your full balance. Keep an eye on DIEM though. It is going for less than 1 satoshi right now and has potential.

Hey Eddy,
Sorry for the delayed response but I'm on vacation right now and only check in from time to time. In PM you sent me many ideas of ways to verify your coins but they all require me to be able to sync the old wallet which is impossible since the network is 100% dead. Also when you said that 51% attack isn't possible because the coins are all mined doesn't change the fact that the old coin is still, to this day, PoW just with 0 reward. Non of this really matters anyway because the deadline is up and I'm standing behind that date. I'm truly sorry for the loss and fully understand you feel scammed. This community has come together time and time again in these cases and made donations to people who didn't make the deadline. You had a good amount of coins and prob wont get them all back from donations but some is better then none. If you don't want to stick around because you feel I have done you wrong I can understand that. But if you buy back in I can promise you that I will do everything in my power to make it up to you in value gain. I'm not a scammer and I'm in this for the long haul. Were going to do some big things but the only person who can decide if your in or not is you.

Just know to though the old network was dying with out us doing anything. We waited until the network died to stop the trade ins. If we didn't do this we all would have been stuck with coins that can't be moved.
