1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any Game Developer who would like to work on Blockchain rewards Game? [Partner] on: February 05, 2020, 07:31:33 PM
Hello,
So I am a game developer and I was wondering if there are some other game developers or art/developers who would like to work on a blockchain reward game.

My idea was to make a sort of dungeon game where multiple players could join, move around, collect coins and kill some ai monsters.
Players can convert the coins to bitcoins or some altcoins and cashout. (Like faucets maybe?)

We could have this ad-supported and web-based so to be played anywhere like on mobile or web.

A small prototype could be developed soon and then if it liked it can be expanded to anything.

I am a multiplayer developer myself and can pretty much make the whole thing myself.
But I would love it if there is someone who can team up with and complete this sooner and share risks and benefits.

Just putting it out there if you have any related idea or some suggestion to make this sort of idea more fail-proof do post below.

Still, searching for developers? Add me to the telegram @VikingLord for the further discussion .
Nice to see someone replied at all. Sure would like to discuss on this. Have added you in there.

Hello,

Your presentation is interesting. However you say to have more than 5 years of experience, to testify, it would be more interesting to show what you have already created.

At least by adding screens / link of your already made games, or even to propose a portfolio Wink

Good luck for your research.

I have updated the thread to show videos of my previous games.
Regards.

Can you post examples and what these would cost around?

And

Are you open for cooperations?

Sure would like to listen what do you have in mind.
Just sent you a Personal Message with our game video links.
5  Economy / Services / Game Development Service [Web/ Mobile] Single Player / Mutliplayer (Crypto) on: November 18, 2019, 02:46:05 PM
Hello,

We are here offering Game Development Services to Bitcoin Talk Members.

We have been in Game Development field since past 5 years. We can provide game development with following features:

Web or Mobile Games
We predominantly use Unity to develop our games which helps us to reuse the same code for multiple platforms i.e. Android, iOS and Web.
We can create 2D or 3D games as per client requirement.
Arcade games/ Strategy Games/ Action Games / Puzzle Games we can make all of them.

Single Player or Multiplayer Games
We have ample experience in creating both single and multiplayer games. We create our multiplayer servers in NodeJS or Java as per requirement of the
game and clients.

Server Side Logic
We are able put all game logic on server side hence making game fully cheatproof. Once this is done you can rewards your players with some coins/ crypto or rewards
as we ensure the game is now cheat and hack proof.

Crypto Integrations
Do you need us to integrate transactions of some coin with the game so players can spend or earn coins by playing the game? Or do you want them to be able to play
against each other where you take a cut from the winnings. Look no further we provide this service too!

For any sort of development related to games and questions do send me a PM.
Also for seeing sample of our previous games please post below.

  • The game should have a cryptointegration, this means that the ingame currency is a cryptocoin which can be traded ingame for stuff, between players and also outside the game.

How do you plan to do this?
In every game currency generation undergoes hyperinflation, even with a lot of sinks
Do you mean as a premium currency that you cant get by playing the game outside of trading , and have a normal currency below it?

We have thought a few ways yes. Secondly yes there would be two currencies. A normal currency centralized and a premium currency which would be crypto.
We are welcoming any ideas related to managing crypto and the way it should be in game.

Oh wow. Not to burst your bubble, but if this is your first time developing a game. You should not start with a MMORPG. It would take years to even develop alpha... You should read a bunch of game dev horror stories about how they were over their heads when choosing such a big project.
Hello.
No this is not our first time. Thanks for warning.

Nice! Seems like you have thought out a lot on this !
We are developing something similar may be not on the scale you are envisioning.

My doubt is all of these are like powers so how do you plan to manage that in UI. To show a player having like 75 spells and choose which one he wants to use?

Would be something like player can only carry with him a few of spells instead of all he has discovered or something.

Best of luck.

Another aspect that would help with longevity is content. It takes quite a bit of time to build background - most new ventures and almost all new games have a very loose universe that they just patch stories on. It works for a while but tend to end up as meaningless noise, fillers for whatever new quest or adventure. I'm not saying you have to create an entire Tolkien compendium of literature, but it helps to have a solid "creation story" for your world that would already set out overarching themes for latter content.

Do you have an idea on how you would continue to generate and build on your story?

User365 would be working on story part. He would probably start writing a wiki soon. And I would begin releasing screenshots and small videos soon.

One thing I feel like mentioning we intend to make this game inclined equally or more towards strategy and puzzle solving and decision making.
The game would be more about how your decisions taken at every point in game shapes your character and the kingdom you own.

While the game would have some kill slash action we would not focus on that too largely (eg. attack effects , graphics.. etc) .This is simply because we in current form would be lacking enough funds for creating those shiny and bright special fighting effects . This may change in future though.

We are seriously looking for any suggestions regarding revenue generation ideas. More we can generate easier to support the game and give back to players.
So do throw anything that comes to your mind about that.

Since it's difficult and labour intensive to create a great game, I would probably prefer a really well made 2d game over a sloppy 3d game. Not sure what your resources are, but that could be a point to consider.

It seems as if graphics have taken too much importance in modern gaming, which has been taking away from good stories, well thought through worlds, mechanics and just general content.

Either way, I'm interested. Is there a newsletter to subscribe to or any other way to keep track of this easily?

Sent you our Ryver/Salck invite link.

Empty as of now. We would soon posting up things in there though.

Thank you, will check when I get home!

Do you have any estimate on when you'll have a beta or anything like that?

We are testing up base concepts with 2.5D and 3D. We are aiming an alpha at end of next month. Smiley

Greetings OP and partner! I have always been deeply interested in RPGs, from my D&D days of pen and paper RPGs, so keep a look for projects like these (I commented on both your threads, so am happy to see you band together).

It's great to see the ideas you have, but I would strongly suggest you decide on the foundations of your game before you head into the technical details... something very long term that describes your vision for 1,3, 5 years. Questions like "Who will my players be and how long do I want them to play?", "What will the motivation be, crypto rewards or a fulfilling experience?".

I say this because I yearn for the sort of games I used to play with friends... where our interest an engagement ensured longevity, rather than a monetary reward system. Don't get me wrong, I think monetisation (or crypto-isation?) is good - both for operational costs and to keep a regular flow of new (if temporary) players.

I suggested earlier resets - this is important, but with lasting rewards that carry over without giving players an edge from earlier resets. Another great system established in the game Utopia was the randomising of guilds. You started every reset scattered randomly over "islands"... and with about 20 players (states) on one island. Somehow, because of proximity, you had to band together, agree to vote on a monarch to form a kingdom. Kingdoms had slight advantages in war, economy, depending on the popular support of their populations.

This prevented the creation of superkingdoms from each reset. Those who really liked each other formed natural alliances. People betrayed their own kingdoms. People were free to change their votes, free to buy votes, free to blackmail votes with intra-island war.

That simple level of politics and user engagement was enough, and can be more complex. But I never really saw anything quite like it since.

I would too want some real politics kicking in the game.Players forming alliances , betraying in alliances, revenge, Helping a friend, Asking something in return for an alliance etc. User365 will look into this and incorporate some of these features some how I believe. Smiley
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MMORPG Development -- Crypto Integration Options?? on: September 18, 2017, 05:06:29 PM
I've had a long-time interest in creating a game, but don't have the time, resources, or technical abilities to do it myself. Having said that, as a player of games and having some interest in cryptos, I can offer some of the things I would like to see in a game.

One thing I have always been interested in is a game with a real and completely closed economy. An economy that grows and changes according to how the players play and what events transpire within the game world. I always thought an in-game crypto would provide a great basis for that. You could code the coin to the specifications that you need for the game without worrying so much about real-world needs.

But, of course, for the crypto to have real value outside the game, which is what you're looking for, there has to be some link to the outside world. And I'm not sure what that does to the in-game economy that I'm talking about.

I had thought of maybe pegging creation of new coins to in-game activities like crafting. I'm specifically thinking of 'mining' in game terms (mining a resource like gold) and linking that with the 'mining' of actual cryptocoins. Or rewarding exploration of new lands in a procedurally-generated style game with newly minted coins. Thus the economy grows according to player activities and market conditions in-game.

These ideas may not be very helpful for you. Just some thoughts on a really interesting project. I'll keep an eye on your progress, I'd be interested to help out as a beta tester or in any other capacity.

Great idea, good luck!

These are very nice ideas. We would surely think more on this and see if something like this or near to this can be implemented.
We would be making a slack or something community soon and start sharing our current plans and progress.
Do keep looking in here in few weeks from now.
Regards.
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MMORPG Development -- Crypto Integration Options?? on: September 16, 2017, 02:30:33 AM
First things first. Why do you want to use cryptocurrency in your game? If players will have to make a wallet and buy somewhere your coins this will only make it harder to do what they want (also not everyone knows what cryptocurrency is and how to handle with it). Why cant you just sell ingame money by usuall bank card transfer? It is a bit unclear what you guys want to get from it if the ingame vendor prices will be fixed.

Hello
The main reason is to provide a way to convert the in-game currency to something else if user wants. And we would want to stay away from decision of price at which they can convert. For example what we could instead do was offer a in-game solution to convert their in-game currency (say gold) to dollars or Satoshi. This would need us to recalculate the conversion rates every few days and make the whole system.
We instead intend to give players crypto. Which if they do not understand or want to understand crypto is normal game currency and if you do and want to convert it to something or convert something to it you are free to do so. We will not be the ones who would change the rates daily and make it appear like we are not giving away enough. The total amount of orur coins would be fixed to see that end holders eventually see a rise in value and we are not just shelling out more coins to make profits.

Hope that clarifies.

I have a (from my point of view) a really good idea, how to implement cryptos in a MMORPG. I have already made my idea public: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1891013

if you consider my idea and need someone for that on your team, please feel free to cantact me  Smiley

Contacted.

User365 is helping us out in game design and will be doing story writing for the game. Smiley

Asians are investing more imto cryptocurrencies most especially japan and south korea i would like to know if Indians  buy the idea of blockchain technology

Some of my uncles one day suddenly told me about this new investment scheme which is most profitable now. He was talking about bitcoin and saying something about investing in a mining thing.

I was left aghast.  Smiley

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PLACO] |PlayerCoin |TRADING NOW! | REAL PROOF OF PLAY! on: September 13, 2017, 07:53:46 PM

Hi all!
Ok.. lets analyse the situation:
You are right that people is playing games and (probably) dumping some coins, but 10.000 Placos per day is not enough to destroy the coin itself.
It was obviously some ICO investor dumping coins.

People have "mined" about 150k Placo with Proof of Play. Suposing they where dumping all the 100% of coins at 150Sats that will be 0.25-030 BTC at all? so PoP is NOT hurting the coin.

Remember PoP is the basis of PlayerCoin.
Every coin has his miners, Sha, Scrypt, or any other algo, and all the miners dump the coins also, and that doesn't mean mining is bad for the coin.

We are improving PoP system to avoid abuses and hacks, and that took us a lot of work and time.
We are working on improved API to allow any game developer to use PlayerCoin in his own games, such a roulette game or any casino related game to allow people to "Pay" with Placos and Win Placos.
That kind of games requires a lot of work and skills to assure security.
Imagine that we create a roulette game with real PLACO and some 'hacker' does the same as flying tap. Modify score "on the fly" to get more coins. We already solved that now, but any APK game is SO easy to hack.

As we said from the beginning, we are NOT PROFESSIONAL game developers.
We have provided the tools. We have created to Coin and show how it works.
We have improved the PoP system, and created the API as promised.
Now we need REAL game devs to create demand of PLACO's with not only mining games.

We are doing our best. Getting in touch with some game devs atm, but it takes time to develop the games and integrate the API.
We really hope to get more game devs involved and have better and more secure games soon.

Once we have API completly finished and operative, we will open a GAME CONTEST with 0.2 BTC reward to the first 5 games created using PLACO (total 1 BTC reward)

We are still here, and working to make PLACO better everyday.

Regards
DEV

You people definitely need some good games. I see that you people are not professional game devs.
I would like to participate in the game contest. What sort of API are you people developing?
Would it be supporting Unity? C#? Javascript?
Also if there is any space in the team for a game developer. Do inform me.
I really like this project idea. But Game Development is at least 70% of this project.
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MMORPG Development -- Crypto Integration Options?? on: September 13, 2017, 06:59:04 PM
Good to see you've thought up some of these points already. For me, a complete reset is the best - in terms of player statistics or in-game boosts. Once a player knows how to game the system, they can easily reach the level required to use their old powered up items, and then the playing field is gone. What you could reward returning players with instead are boosts to exchange rates when they do cash out crypto rewards.

Another thing this brought up: don't allow people to buy ridiculously powered items/stats/boosts. Again I will bring up Utopia, where you could pay to remove ads, but nothing you could buy would improve your edge over other players. This is the killer in the end.

While I would try to keep most purchasable things cosmetics but there will be a few things purchasable.
I am planning a concept of chests and keys. Where by you can purchase keys but you always have to find chests in the map (by killing monster solving puzzle etc.)
And then you need both to open a chest. Obviously, you can also find both chests and keys in the map and never purchase anything.

I guess this would not be too partial towards spenders.

Boost to exchange rate after reset idea is good . Will give it some thought.  Smiley
20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MMORPG Development -- Crypto Integration Options?? on: September 13, 2017, 02:31:03 PM
Well, you can go with your own in game currency, just make sure you do all the transactions on the server side, plus the game will require heavy server usage, spawning the monsters on server and calculating when it was killed will be the main challenge here, it's not as easy as implementing a simple api. It has to work in hand with the game. There will be lots of challenges ahead, just make sure you plan this out, properly.

P. S
List your coin on an exchange, and allow users to trade coins in game too.

Yup server side is the key in here to avoid the wrath of hackers and botters.
Spawning will be done from server side and we plan on a few things to keep a check of whether player has actually killed a monster.
A lot of planning is a thing we are going through. Smiley
