1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPL] Gold Pressed Latinum 3.0 Coin swap soon. on: October 28, 2018, 01:49:41 AM
It worked! I installed it in another computer running Windows 10 and did the folders as you instructed and it is working fine it seems.
Thanks people!

Unfortunately I can not get to that since the program crashes within a few seconds.
But where is the correct folder to install the blockchain?

No one knows? If there is no known fix for that, is there any other wallet I can use for GPL?
Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to get the wallet working on my machine but it keeps crashing before I can do anything.
I downloaded the wallet from the link someone posted earlier: http://gpl.scificrypto.info/
But every time I start it, it stays idle for a few seconds and then it stops working and I have to close it.
I have Windows 8.1 Pro just in case.
Thanks!

So the original question is still unanswered, will I get that little money (around $45) if we find a block now? So the math is fine?

OK I understand that and I see that in the page you sent but that doesnt answer my question. That is kind of mining on my own, you dont know how long it will take until you get a block BUT I thought that when you got it you would get enough rewards to cover for the time you spent mining. In this case it doesnt cover much so it ends up being not good.
So the original

here you will find an answer to all your doubts:

Wow, it really shows that you are a programmer Smiley Wariner, I work with 3D assets, so I am a 3D modeler and deal with graphics and such. I am not really good with programming and coding. So for me that page that you showed me means nothing Smiley
I dont understand how that page can answer the question I posted???
Please enlighten me.

OK here I go again. I know last time my numbers were wrong since I had the wrong price of ZCL (still is wrong in Cryptocompare by the way) but now that I have the correct value (roughly $120) my math is scary.
I have been mining ZCL here now for at least a month now (I stopped 4 days ago for maintenance) with an average hashrate of 920 S/s. So according to many online calculators, I should be getting around $180 to $200 a month. (that is also close to what I have been getting mining Zcash in other pool for a long time by the way so I know that it is true)
So after a month I have a total of 3% round share only with 920 S/s. That means if we found a block now, I would get 12.5 * 0.03 = 0.375 ZCL, then 0.375 * $120 = $45
ONLY $45 for a month??
Am I missing something here?

I have a question, if I stop my miners for a month for example, do I still retain my percentage of the round share? So as soon as a block is found, I will still be paid for it right?
Thanks.

Hi, is the ZCL site having problems somehow? Because the Hashrate is going down and it is showing as if my miner is not doing anything. I disconnected and re-connected twice already but not luck.

forgive me if I was not clear in my answer  Wink

Dont worry it's all fine.

Yes I dont know either. I am checking the payments report for the ZCL pool and it has not been a payout in 12 days. I guess there are only 10 miners and a total of 17.29 KS/s so it might take a while to get a block.
Well I might stay for a couple more days to see if I finally get a payment and not loose all 6 days I mined here Sad
Thanks for your help Nosmas!

Holy crap, my bad. I was looking always at the Cryptocompare page that keeps showing Zclassic at $0.77 for some reason: https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/zcl/overview/USD
Thanks Nosmas for being the only one that actually answered my question since I have been asking many times and showing the math (with the wrong ZCL price) and no one cared to tell me if I was wrong or not. Even the Zclassic moderator Wariner never answered my question with any detail, just a "yes that is the way it is" answer that didnt help that much as you can see.

Wow I dont understand how anybody is making any money here. This sounds really strange. I am not blaming anyone but lets see this:
I have been mining for more than 6 days now and still no block found. With 941 Sol/s my share of the next block is so far just 1.84 % that means if a block is found now (worth about $9.6, I will get just 17 cents. All that after more than 6 days!!??
If I had been mining Zcash as I have been before this, I would have earn about $36
That is sooooo strange.
Well back to Zcash, I am sorry I wasted my time here.

Yes I saw my round share that is why I asked if I would get ONLY that small percentage of a block (in my case now 1.6% of 12.5 ZCL that totals 1.2 cents!??)
Is that what I would get if we found a block now?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH-ETC-EXP-UBQ-ZEC-ZCL....] pool.sexy - Fee 0.25% - tx fee paid to miners on: January 17, 2018, 07:22:37 AM
Ok let me understand something since I am kinda new on a pool like this (as I said I have been mining on another Zcash pool but I got rewards all the time and knew exactly how much I was getting per day, week, etc.)
So on this one, when we get lucky and find a block then we get paid (as in every pool) with the difference that it is taking more than 5 days to find the block.
Now, the block reward is 12.5 ZCL right? Does that mean that when we find the block and I get some rewards, I will get only a small percentage of the 12.5 ZCL and thats it? I hope I am missing something because that would be not worth it at all.
Please if someone can explain that to me I would appreciate it.
Thanks...

Well it says there are no blocks yet and I understand that but is it that common to go by more than 3 days and not find any blocks between me and all the others that are mining ZClassic at the same time in this pool?

Ok I see people saying that mining is ok here but now it has been almost 3 days and 29,350 roundshares still at a hashrate of 923 S/s and still see NO immature or pending balance!
Is this normal??
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / No balance showing for more than 2 days... on: January 13, 2018, 09:55:50 PM
Hi, I have been mining with Pool.sexy for more than 2 days now and I still don't see any balance anywhere, immature or pending. I know this takes some time and normally you have to wait maybe a day before you see something but isn't it more than 2 days too long?
My machine is doing an average of 913.77 S/s and my round share is at 0.72%
I have been mining Zcash for months before this but the system is a little different for what I have read here.
Thanks for any info on this since I am starting to get a little nervous.

Early miners will surely make some money on that. It is always the same story. I almost wish that i had a rig of my own, so i could give it a shot this time. Even so, there very limited information regarding BTG wallets, mining pools and configurations. I do have a some old GPU which i can still try. Of course, someone out there should share his experience with us first.

this is true.
We have about 30 GPU 1080ti here waiting to mine BTG.
This testnet has resulted in a uptrend of BTG

What are your 1080ti's mining during the wait ?
Mining Zcoin

Is it Zcoin more profitable for you than Zcash when you mine with the 1080's?
