Calling all crypto-enthusiast JS developers to help out on our new effort to make the crypto market more transparent

>>> https://github.com/coincheckup/crypto-supplies <<<

Our aim here is simple: integrate as many coins' circulating, available and total supplies as possible via block explorer APIs while keeping track of coin burns and so on.

Anyone willing to help in any way please reach out via GitHub or over here at BitcoinTalk.

After visiting your site I have to say that the site is working fine on me it's really fast, but one thing that I don't like is the design (Well, it just personal) the font size are too small in my opinion, and the coin list is very tight it's kind of like reading something on spreadsheet. The good thing is your site full of with information that people looking for, I'm surprised even the official telegram account of those coins are listed out there comparing to marketcap your site is the best but like i said the design should be more like marketcap maybe it just my honest review.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. We're planning to release a design upgrade and bring in some fresh air to the interface in 3-4 weeks, so we hope you're going to find the new interface easier to work with afterwards.

Hi.

First of all: Thank you for such a great Website.

I wonder when you will be able to implement the price alert you wrote previously about. Would really like this feature.

Kind regards

We're making good progress on integrating with exchanges, which is a prerequisite for those price alerts among other nice features. I have no clear ETA at the moment, since this is an R&D process that involves quite some trial and error. We will keep you posted on progress though  Wink

CoinCheckup came about as a result of constant frustration due to the serious lack of transparency that dots the current cryptocurrency market. It’s important to note that most cryptos have information available online; the hustle lies in finding a good platform to do comparisons on.

Precisely, and we only input information from official sources (a coin's primary website, official twitter account etc.). Even though we accept data change requests from the community via the website itself, we only approve them if they can be proven with a trusted source that's publicly reachable for anyone else.

If price, volume, market cap are what you're looking for, then sure... CoinMarketCap is enough.

Our vision with CoinCheckUp is that it's hard to research 1500+ cryptos out there on the market, so we bring quite a lot of information in one place. We've spent over 3000 hours on platform development and coin research so far, and it's all freely available.

At the time of this writing, we collect and display CoinMarketCap and CryptoCompare pricing/mkt. cap/volume data and enhance over it with our own statistics, and a lot more features. Feel free to take a second look  Wink

Hi,

I just wanna share with you this website  " Coincheckup ". This website is really useful  for your daily trade or short term investment.
What I like is this simple dashboarding about the last movement from 1h  to 90 days. Also this full of technical details.
We are able to do quick research  on each altcoin market.
The website is also mobile friendly with fast response. My favourite function is “coin screener” you are able to select coins
by the Max Supply which is really good.

My best advice for a newbie to this website is to have a look !

Thanks a lot for the mention. We're here on BitcoinTalk as well and happy to listen to feedback and answer questions:

GitHub activity tracker now available at https://coincheckup.com/analysis/github (as well most coins' detail pages, under Analysis > GitHub activity)

What is benefit of coincheckup

For me, they provide analysis of good coins. You can check out the analysis tab here: https://coincheckup.com/analysis

Their analysis is not perfect as you can see from some of the top coins, but it looks like a good place to start.

A perfect automated analysis is probably never possible, but we aim to reduce the amount of work and time you need to put into research. You can use the scores and screener we offer to reduce the 1500+ coins out there to something more humanly manageable.

I would for instance personally use the screener to reduce the list of coins to the ones that are at least 8 months old, with a CoinCheckUp total score of at least 60%, that trade on Bittrex, and have at least 50% winning months. I've just run this particular screen and it yields 74 results at this time. Much more manageable than 1500 results in my opinion. So this is just an example of a decent way to start researching based on your own criteria!

6. "Direct integration with exchanges" I saw that this card is being developed right now. I think it will have too much development time vs. the return of growth it will provide. So I'd say postpone it but you have already started this task 12 days ago so .. yea might as well finish it. Just keep in mind for the next time you decide to do a task ask yourself, "Will this task increase the growth of the site?".

I'll write more feedback later on, maybe directly write comments on cards. But right now I think your #1 problem is differentiating yourself from coinmarketcap.

Best of luck

It might seem there's no end-user benefit at least at first glance, however we still depend on CoinMarketCap and CryptoCompare pricing data at the moment. Both are great, but they're black boxes which we have little to no control over. Moreover, should they decide (unlikely, but possible) to simply stop offering an API, we are suddenly impaired. As such, we believe we should get our own data and be transparent about the aggregation formulas we are going to be using.

Looks nice but the loading times are quite slow  Smiley

We've just released a major upgrade to the homepage so it shouldn't be slow anymore. Please give it a try and let us know. Thanks!

Hello everyone.

We've been hard at work in the meantime, and while we continue to have ambitious plans going forward, I just wanted to take a moment and let you know about our recent updates.

1. Our rating formula has now been upgraded and split into 3 different branches, based on a coin's organizational structure (we have decentralized, semi-centralized or centralized).

We're now looking deeper into things such as sustained Github activity and increased following for decentralized coins, since nobody likes abandoned projects.

There's a score of other tweaks and improvements, and if you're interested in finding out more about our scoring methodology, I urge you to visit https://coincheckup.com/how-we-stay-unbiased and https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jnmTA1B_eQsBNaO_JkvlX-5f5TwcOUDR58HLGNfoPjQ/edit#heading=h.vtzcqvbw7wnb

2. A popular request has been a dark theme. We've done it and we think it's looking great. This can be turned on and off through the navigation header.

3. Customize grid/table layouts (columns):

- You can now turn on mini graphs, 14d, 30d, 45d, 90d, 200d % changes, sort by any of them, see prices in your currency of choice (USD, EUR, GBP and dozens of others) alongside BTC prices
- Almost all columns can be sorted for, including multiple sorting columns by holding down the Shift key
- You can rearrange or resize columns to best fit your needs

4. The Coin Screener:

Major upgrades here as well, you can now filter by more than 20 different criteria (grouped into Fundamentals, CoinCheckUp scores, Market and Trading) in any combination.

Highlights: Filter coins by the exchanges they are trading on, circulating supply or maximum supply, but many more.

5. Worldwide money What-IF predictions are now visual and easier to understand

6. Most coins are categorized by their purpose or industry, and you can see related coins, filter them using the Screener, or simply go check them out on Category specific overviews such as https://coincheckup.com/category/privacy

All in all, whew... quite a lot.

Starting next week we're going to start integrating with exchanges and block explorers/blockchain networks so we could have more granular and fresher data to work with. This converges nicely into near future features such as automated TA indicators (SMAs, RSI etc.), price alerts, portfolio tracking and others.

As always, your feedback is much appreciated. We actually keep a list of the most requested features and we prioritize them, so please help us help you.

Happy trading!
See you on https://coincheckup.com
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: binance and kraken have ripple at 2.26 but coincheckup has it at 2.56. why? on: December 30, 2017, 01:16:07 PM
Hi. This is Valentin with CoinCheckUp.

We're using CoinMarketCap's aggregated market/pricing data on our site. Please cross-reference their data and take a look at https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/#markets as well

Cheers!

Great project.

Have you thought about analysis sentiment? It would be a good market prediction.

Thanks. Yes, but we don't want to rush it, since it takes time and attention to get it right. It is one of the main priorities for our devs starting January.

Okay, its hard to impress me with a website but, this website is really on point and clean!

Do you guys also list ICOs and stuff? I will bookmark this site.

ICOs are with our research and development teams right now, so they should be up and running in 1-2 weeks max.

Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it.

Two new features we've launched this week:

1. Coin categories and tags. Over 100 coins now feature categories and tags, as well as related coins that you can filter down to see the competition. Naturally, this is also a feature of the Coin Screener.

2. Full methodology explanations for our scoring mechanism under each coin's page Analysis subtab.

We're delighted to help bring more clarity to the market. As usual, your feedback is most appreciated and goes straight to our roadmap.

P.S. Speaking of the roadmap, in the spirit of full transparency, we've published the broad ideas as a public Trello board at https://trello.com/b/DjQd23U8/coincheckupcom-roadmap-public - feel free to vote or comment.

I really like this so far! a great resource to check and nice to see some good research to help make informed decisions.

A few things to note and some suggestions from me.

Follow Button - It will not work for me, I click follow on coins but it does not register. I spent about 10 minutes following all the coins I was interested in only to then click the "only my coins" button and it came up with nothing. Then looked back onto a coin I had previously followed and it was no longer following. (I am signed up and logged in)

Number System - Maybe the number should be equal across all boards as it gets confusing when trying to compare across different pages. For example, BTC is #1 on market but Lykke is #1 on analysis.

Coin Screener - Would be nice to have an option to select current price on the screeener

Right click or hover functionality - Would again be useful to have so that if you click, right click, hover over coin link you get a mini pop out with follow button and the main analysis section (price%, score, ticker symbol etc) + follow button.

Prediction Page - Only currently works on current value set against trends that already exist. Would be good to see other factors built into this to get some variation across coins. Difficult to do I know!

But overall I am super impressed, fantastic job!

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback and appreciation.

Follow Button - Sorry to hear that. We'll take a good hard look at it to see if there's anything we can do. If you don't mind me asking, what browser/os are you using?

Number System - It's hard to decide what metric to use for the numbering. Each overview page/table is sorted by a default column (market cap for market, total score for analysis) etc. and that's what's used in the numbering.

Coin screener - We're cooking up a bunch of more fields but since the number of options is getting long, we're trying to also organize them into screener categories.

Right click/hover - Neat idea. We haven't thought of that before. Kudos!

Prediction Page - Do you have anything that comes to mind in terms of other factors?

Thanks again!

please check It throws some  error, Don't have time to investigate more :

Pm you error.

Thanks, I saw it. We'll try to get in touch with OpenDNS to see if they can resolve the issue. So far, we have not had any other such false positive error reports, and we see thousands of visits a day without hassle. I do however appreciate your bringing this to my attention. Cheers!
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinCheckUp.com - Cryptocoin Analysis & Investment Stats on: September 07, 2017, 01:16:26 PM
I'm impressed that you collected all those details for each and every coin. Where did you get the price updates by the way? Also, I suggest you to add different currencies for the price to let users see what they prefer (Coinmarketcap has this feature). On mobile I can't see the numbers well (after 9, 1, 1, 1 and so on) : https://i.imgur.com/ZgaLIU1.jpg . I was thinking what does it mean at first but after seeing 2 downwards, I just realized that it was 10, 11, 12 ... 20, 21 and so on.

I'm curious, what would be the advantage of having an account in the site?

Thank you. Prices are from CoinMarketCap and CryptoCompare APIs, however we are considering a direct integration with exchanges over time.

I am aware of the ranking number issue on mobile. Since then, we've decided to remove those rankings on mobile and leave them on for larger devices, since space is tight on phones and we want to make the best of it.

Right now the benefit of having an account is following coins and being able to filter the overview tables to see only the coins you follow. On the roadmap, however, we have notifications/updates planned, as well over time we consider setting up some member-only sections/areas.

At this stage, we're still looking to bring something new, of which we already have the coin screener, the analysis data and scoring formula, but we're always open for ideas of killer features that would help investors save time and be safer.

Our new Coin Screener function is now live and allows you to filter coins live with multiple criteria. Be my guest and head over to https://coincheckup.com/

Love this site, it's like a Coinmarketcap+

Getting a glitch when clicking on the Coin Screener though https://imgur.com/a/xx3UH (Using safari)

Thanks for letting me know about the glitch. It's going straight to our immediate fix list.

While we fix the issue, one hack you can try is to resize your browser window slightly, and it should get back into shape. Sorry for the inconvenience.
