I'm not sure why everyone is complaining that an ASIC is out for Sia.  Every coin that has every had an asic produced has skyrocketed in price.

I don't have an issue with what is used to mine, My frustration be with the following. A certain country 'bans cryptocurrency and trading and then limit its crypto mining', so what give that country the right to have anything to do with cryptocurrency?

Hi guys,

I would just like to implore the highly efficient dev and slack team whom I have had the pleasure of annoying many times Wink , to please do something about the letter writing.  I have written 2 letters in mid December which had not been up voted properly for some reason.  I really don't mind, I will write letters for free, but what is working on my nerves is that idiotic trolls will take their time to down vote each and every letter (not only mine) and try to skinny every last dime.  I do apologize for for my little rant, but it needs to be addressed.

Anyhow.
Still rooting for Rob and the guys.
Keep up the good work.

Ed

Thanks a lot Ed, yes we should pay users to upvote the letters!  Maybe we can share some of the letter fees for proofreading, and voting...  Ill jump on that right after I fix the faucet.

Thanks for the reply.  I admire the positive attitude and perseverance that you guys I showing.  I honestly don't know how you do it.

Keep up the good work

Ed

The feature to pay 5 BBP for each distinct letters upvote or downvote per Pool User is finished, but not deployed yet.  I will put some type of slogan on it when its ready to use.

Sounds like a great plan.  You will however need a good proof reading team as this will sure get a lot of letters that had been voted for just fir the sake of 5 BBP.

Hi guys,

I might miss things as I can be very absent minded.  If I am not mistaken, there is no link on the pool website for the miner.  Is it possible to add one?  Might make it easier for new miners and especially if the notification pops up to upgrade, then it is immediately accessible. I do apologize if there is one and I am just not seeing it.

guys, i'm loosing my patience here, two mandatory updates in one day, come on...

- now, i updated 6 machines to the latest version (1.0.6.7), starting biblepayd shows CPU 0.0%, biblepay-cli getmininginfo shows pool mining = false. wtf? any ideas what to do? please help. previous udpates worked ok. i'm on pool2.

- there is no windows version for 1.0.6.7? will it come out soon?

- and btw, withdrawing from minersofmen does not work (invalid account error...) any hints here? i tried to email them, got no response...

Hi there,

I know for big miners like you time=money, but please bear with us.  I understand your frustration, and bible_pay(dev) and his team are working their rear ends off to solve these issues.

With regards to miners of men,  the owners handle is nsummy.  He is an independent who is kindly hosting a pool to assist the coin.

Again I apologize for any inconvenience.  You have to agree though, it is not common to find a dev willing to submit solutions so quickly if a problem shows up.

All the best in your endeavors.

Hi guys,

Just a quick note.  Please update the announcement on pool 2 to reflect correct block, seeing as we are past 21550 already.

Keep up the good work.  Still rooting for you.

Hi guys,

I just skimmed through the new tread.  I would like to know if anybody else is also experiencing issues with C-CEX going in maintenance mode every 10 minutes or so as of late.  I not, then I need to look at solutions from my side.  It is seriously starting to irritate me.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: November 05, 2017, 01:43:47 PM
Only 4 people have voted so far on this important issue with 30 days to go:

http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=33.0

We need about 200 votes imo.

Guys,

I would like to implore everyone to consider voting on this.  It is an important issue that will affect EVERYBODY.

Thank you.

we definitely need a better exchange cause the 200k satoshi withdrawal amount is way to high. this exchange seems to be 50k which is more reasonable. their litecoin withdrawal is even better at 0.1.

for biblepay to have any kind of success it needs an easy usd -> bbp entry for people. there is just too much friction for the non technical person. this is probably true of crytpo in general and sites like coinbase are addressing them. but going from btc to bbp and bbp to btc/usd is crucial for adoption.

what is biblepay's ability to support atomic swaps?

There is nothing wrong with CCEX.  We just need more exchanges for more market depth.

I dont know of any such withdrawal fee.  Its .1 BBP for 100 BBP, thats virtually nothing.

-> This is just a generalization.  We can go one of a million different directions and have success.  In reality we have a very low bar technically and we are easier to use than most cryptos.  Its easier to mine Biblepay than to learn how an asic works.

Atomic swaps? Like shapeshift?  We can integrate with anyone like shapeshift, since we have not polluted the RPC with any breaking changes.

what i meant was converting bbp to btc. on CCEX the withdrawl fee  is 200k satoshi.

atomic swaps are cross chain exchanges without exchanges.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/guides/what-are-atomic-swaps/

im wondering the derived code base supports that (or can support it in the future)

Yes,  I was flabbergasted at first as well.  The exchanges work as follows:  Minimum trade of 0.xxxxxx of a coin.  And their commission ranges from 0.15 to 0.2 % on a trade.  When you want to withdraw from an exchange,  they don't work in percentages, but actual coin values.  So 0.002BTC at the current exchange rate is $14 if you sold coin for btc and want your btc.  ETH and LTC is 0.01,  so about $3 and $0.5 respectively.  To withdraw tether is a whopping $17 on C-Cex.

On another topic or two:
Payeer has the ability to buy and sell BTC inside your user dashboard.  Maybe we should ask them to do the same for bbp?  Just a thought.
Someone commented on another thread that CoinExchange is a bit of a Pump and dump exchange.  I did not do any research to see if it is true, but please keep it in mind just to be safe.

Again, Keep up the good work guys. Smiley

Correct, you tie up about 1.1 million biblepay in an escrow address and create a sanctuary keypair, and at that point you have the privilege to run a sanctuary, which gives you voting rights for the budget, and awards you approx 1.1 million biblepay in subsidies over approx. 12-24 months (The ROI is dependent on how many sanctuaries are competing with you).  The escrow is used to provide the instant send service (IE sending coins without confirms) and also for retirement account trading.

Rob and slack team and people I don't know about,

Keep up the dedication.  You guys work really hard.  I am rooting for BiblePay all the way.  Wish I had more to offer than just support, but each each team needs a cheerleader. Grin

Has anyone been able to deposit USD funds into their C-CEX account recently? Would appreciate knowing what method you used.

At https://c-cex.com ...
"C-CEX codes let You transfer funds between C-CEX accounts instantly and without any commissions.  C-CEX codes are great way to deposit Your USD to our exchange!  Www.xmlgold.eu, money-change.biz and v-obmen.com are selling our C-CEX USD codes at reasonable prices with lot's of payment options.  After C-CEX USD code purchased You can use it to fill Your account with USD instantly!

The first two of the three links below don't work.  After translating the third one at v-obmen.com into English I still can't figure out how to actually do it.

Thanks!

Hi

I used payeer coz they are the cheapest.  However, I have not yet tried to get money back from them so I can only vouch for giving them your hard earned money. lol.  Register on payeer.  Add your credit card (needs verification) or any other pmt structure they offer.  When you have a balance on payeer,  log in to C-cex and select "fiat" currency tab in "ledger" and click on deposit. It will ask how much and then ask what payment process you want to follow.  select payeer, and just follow the prompts.

Hope this helps

So if I wanted to get to the 1.1m mark by Christmas I would need more machines to do this.
Has anyone mined BBP on the cloud?
Where is this possible?

Or is it cheaper to just make an account and buy on CCEX?

Thanks

Check out the testnet thread

The $10 monthly Vultr VPS should work fine and let you transition from mining to mining + sanctuary.

Hi guys,

I am really interested in this. Where can I find a "how to" guide on this.  It would really be awesome.
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
I know this is irrelevant, but the difficulty for block 10427 is 10427.1762.  I had to share this useless but coincidental information.

Interesting, I have tried to install Ubuntu in Windows through VMWare, but I never heard of linux subsystem on Windows 10 before, just googled around and found Ubuntu app in Windows Store. Wondering how powerful is it, please do update us about your test, just curious if this linux subsystem can run 100% of all linux app, especially compile linux version of biblepay.

Here is a link. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/commandline/wsl/install_guide

Hi guys.
My total pay outs dropped with about 80% since yesterday.  I did not change a thing on my laptop except moving to pool 2 late last night, but this started before moving.  Does anybody else have a similar issue?

Secondly to dev and his Xeon.  To know what a xeon actually is, I went and googled it.  There are so many bells and whistles, that it comes with a software developers users manual.  So I just want to wish you luck in your endeavors.
