Just wanted to say that I have received my payment Smiley.

And once again, thank you so much Wizkid for the great support with hourly updates (or even quicker than that!).

1. I take offense to the "newbie".
2. Just responding in kind to this guy. More fun than debating allegations
3. Are you sure there are no aliens in the government? Normal people don't behave like they do :-)
4. Thanks for your efforts to get Eligius back on its feet!

Why are a bunch of newbie accounts suddenly appearing and posting nonsense in the Eligius thread?

Just curious.

Nonsense, curious... still don't pay and lack on stats !

Look here:

Eligius still don't pay !

Just smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave.

What address do you use to mine at Eligius?

..

He actually offered you to personally (manually?) pay out your beloved BTC.
Why are you not taking this offer?
3  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 11:22:16 AM
There's a lot of arm waving and running around in circles in this thread.  It's only the stats dammit.  We're getting live-time updates.  There's only one other pool I can think of that has such open reporting of what's going on, and that's BTCGuild.

What i really see - on WK pool accumulated more than 2 000 000$ our rewards, statistics still don't work, time to repair still don't introduced, it's facts. Some people says - he's a great man and don't steal your money, sorry i don't know him, i don't know this people but i know about HYIP, i know about pools who steal money !

But what is your point? You've been saying this for the past couple of pages!
If you're that paranoid about your Bitcoins, then move your mining gear to another pool! It can't be that hard.
I think it's very sad to see you keep coming in this thread, accusing WK for all kinds of stupid sh*t, while he's doing hard & honest work getting Eligius up and running again. It's quite disrespectful.
If you really don't like WK or Eligius, please move pool or move out of this thread. I'm sure neither people in this thread or WK needs to listen to your bullsh*t.

We've got your point, you think that he's stealing all our money, thanks, we got that. Now, please move on to something else or cry in a corner.
You keep saying that he's stealing our money, and you're seriously sure about it, but you don't even want to make any bets on it (I can read that from the previous pages..).

So please, move on. Find another pool if you don't like this one. And if you're not even a part of the pool already, then what are you even doing here?

And to Wizkid:
Thanks for the hard & honest work you're putting in to this.

*yawn* *rubs eyes*

Good morning everyone.   Turns out while waiting for the share log to merge into the main database lack of sleep caught up to me.  (I don't even remember moving from my office chair to my bedroom... I'll have to ask my g/f about that when she wakes up.)

Anyway, looks like the majority of the work finished while I was sleeping, so, I will work on getting replication going and proceed down my list above to get everything working again in the next few hours hopefully, barring and unforeseen challenges.

Bit surprised you have the time or energy for a girlfriend  Grin

Yeah, I get that from her also. lol.

Just wanted to say "Thank You!" - for fixing this site up. I'm really happy with this pool, as it seems like the only one which requires 0% fee(s).
I moved from EclipseMC to this and I've been really happy with the choice - EclipseMC had a lot of downtime compared to Eligius - and even when the payout system is down (like now), you can keep farming without wondering if you've lost anything. I love that..
I'm really glad that you're putting all this work into the site Smiley. I'm sure it helps us all!

This is a really good idea! I love the idea of printing it.
It makes people more aware that it is a stable product.. Atleast some people Smiley.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I retreive bitcoin from a paper wallet? on: May 10, 2013, 04:25:03 PM
'Sup guys,

I'm not very tech savvy, and still kind of strugling with the all the technicalities of bitcoin.

I'm trying to make a paper wallet. I therefore made a 'test' wallet, and send like .001 bitcoin to it. No I want to get it back, but I can't figure out how to do it. Anybody care to explain?

Sorry for the noobishness, and thanks.

I think there's a full guide right here: https://blockchain.info/wallet/paper-tutorial . How to make one, and how to manage it aswell. It looks like you need a smartphone though..

I've never seen this method before, so this is all the help you'll get from me Wink

To spread the word, we are giving away 1 bitcoin to a randomly selected participant.

Here is the breakdown of how many times you can be entered to win:

I've cashed out all my bitcoins. Now I'm going to get rid of all other cryptocoins. Unfortunatelly, this amount is too low and I can't withdraw it in USD, so I decided to convert the altcoins into bitcoins and give to the 1st newbie who posts here his/her BTC-address. This person must have 5-6 post counts and be registered prior this post. Anyone?

Yes please! 12e1RFGht12B61jjvdGpmFtfLjZYGQBhND

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how do I earn bitcoins? on: May 09, 2013, 09:23:20 PM
Hello iam new here I would like to gain some bitcoins, how do I do it ? Thank you for your advice.

Jay

You have to give something to somebody and then they give you bitcoins, just like how you earn dollars or euros.

OR! You can start mining. It's not very profitable, but you'll get a little bit of coins. You can look here: http://guiminer.org for more information.
Another way of getting a very little amount of coins, is trying out all the "free bitcoin" sites. A nice site can guide you through them all, here: http://coinreaper.com

Also very interested if anyone can help us all.

It seems quite hard getting help on this in the Newbie forums. We gotta move out of this dead-end Smiley.
I think people in the "Technical Support" section would be able to help.

It's all waiting now.. Surfing around these corners.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much have newbie Mhs/Khs? on: May 09, 2013, 11:09:37 AM
Running stable @ 230mhash/s with my GTX590 . Not really worth it, but fun though!
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Q] I need some help with FPGA ..! on: May 09, 2013, 10:55:37 AM
you dont have any power connection?

I don't even know, man. I'm truly a newbie regarding this..

I don't understand all these "CON1" and "JP1", "CON5" and whatsoever Tongue . I'm quite lost here..
What do I need to connect this to a power source? Something like this?
http://www.ztex.de/usb-fpga-1/pwr-1.1.e.html

But.. How does this work? Do you need like special cables for this to work?
I have only once tried messing with these kind of boards, and I didn't get it at all.

I was just wondering if I could buy one and use it without too much trouble'

EDIT:
Sorry for all my noobish behavior. I'm simply looking for help!
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why such restricted restrictions on Newbies? on: May 09, 2013, 09:26:10 AM
I wanted to react to a post. Now I have to write 5 bullshit posts before I can say something meaningfull.
Live is a bitch and spambots should die !

Indeed. But now we're all stuck here in the newbies forum, unable to get all the help that we want Tongue
I think we just gotta live with it. I don't think that they're gonna change it, though..

Atleast it keeps the forum spam-free. Atleast from bots..
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Q] I need some help with FPGA ..! on: May 09, 2013, 09:23:50 AM
I have no clue whether I'm allowed to bump or not. I'm gonna do it. Because I need help!
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Q] I need some help with FPGA ..! on: May 08, 2013, 06:10:40 AM
find someone

Who knows something about it? I've tried all my most nerdy friends, but none of those guys are hardware-related nerds Sad .

So I'm quite lost, which is why I'm asking in here in the Newbie forum.
And mostly because I can't get out of here before I've made these 5 posts and 4 hours wandering around in here...

So please, help? Smiley.
