1  Bitcoin / Legal / Ill pay BTC for bitcoin tax information on: June 29, 2013, 12:19:14 AM
Hello, I am looking for a small group to collaborate on a project which aims to help people pay taxes on their BTC.  Regardless if they are a miner, user, speculator, etc.  I am specifically interested in US tax law.

I would like to find a group of 2 to 3 and do a skype conference call for an hour or so where we can talk logistics, then we will collaborate on a flowchart type tutorial for paying taxes on bitcoins.  This will be all I need and members will be paid out depending on how much they contributed.

I have a stock of 15BTC for this project.

guys this is a great thread! Exactly what I was looking for.

So basically I would like to pay someone to outline tax information for the following categories:

tax info for bitcoin miners
tax info for bitcoin merchants
tax info for bitcoin users
tax info for bitcoin investors/speculators

Some of these may be similar/overlap, specifically interested in US law.

Someone out there is going to get audited for cashing out 100k bitcoins into their account this tax season.
I'd like to help the people that would have no problem paying taxes if it was made easier.

I run http://www.taxingbitcoins.com
We hope to be the central source of bitcoin tax and regulatory information.
Instead of building content ourselves we have developed a framework which pays bloggers to submit posts to our site.  Instead of paying per article like other services we pay per visitor that content brings to the site.  For now we are paying 10$ for every 1000$ visitors your content brings in.
We look forward to working with the community and doing everything we can do smooth the transition to worldwide acceptance for bitcoin.

7  Economy / Service Announcements / "Blog-Steading" blog on my site, earn BTC for each visitor! on: May 16, 2013, 08:45:42 AM
Hello, I work with http://www.taxingbitcoins.com, a bitcoin tax and regulation information site.  We have developed a unique platform which allows users to submit blog posts and news reviews and be paid for doing so.  Instead of paying per page, we give the users BTC based on every visitor their content brings to the site.  We believe this to be a one of a kind system and look forward to working with the bitcoin community.

Right now we are catching up with news aggregation and developing relationships with blog authors.  Feel free to look around the site and sign up if interested.  We have 100BTC put away to pay bloggers and are offering an insane 10$ per 1000 visits for our first 100,000 visits.

Let me know if you guys have any questions!
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / BTC for blogging - TaxingBitcoins.com on: May 16, 2013, 03:42:53 AM
Hello, we here at http://www.taxingbitcoins.com have instituted an interesting platform based off bitcoin.  We have developed a back-end framework for paying our bloggers with bitcoin depending on the amount of visitors they attract to the site.  You sign up for an account and start blogging, visits to your content will be recorded and you will be paid 10$ for every 1000 visitors you attract to the website.

Our website specifically is a repository of bitcoin tax and regulatory information, a field which both drives and is driven by the growth of bitcoin.  We believe we will see an exponential rise in interest in this subject.

We would love to work with you and are open to any suggestions before our hard launch.  Please check out our contribute page if you are interested in blogging with us, together we can change the dynamic of the internet forever.

The OP was edited to reflect our new pricing scheme for the first 100,000 visitors.

Great idea! We have implemented a system which might work for your website.  Anyone who submits content gets paid depending on the number of visitors that content brings to the site.  The idea is to incentivize high quality data/content.  This would be perfect for your platform.
That might be cool. But what about quality control?
I'm pretty serious about making a quality site out of this.

Thats the beauty of this, the quality will be determined by amount of visitors coming to the site for that specific content.  You can maybe bump content out of the system when nobody has come to the site for it in 30 days or so as an example.

Let me know if you have any questions or want to collaborate, I did the php/mysql coding for the engine to run my site http://www.taxingbitcoins.com

Hello, I would love for you to add my site to your free btc list.  We are currently holding 100BTC to give away to anyone who wants to sign up and blog/collect news for our site.
Our website is:
http://www.taxingbitcoins.com

We are implementing a "blog-steading"  program where people submit blog posts and get paid by the amount of traffic they bring to the site.
Let me know if you have any questions.

That is not a 'free' Bitcoin site but it may qualify for the "not exactly free but popular 'earn' Bitcoin site" category if there is enough good feedback from the community.

Thanks for your submission.

OK well all you have to do is sign up and post and you will be entered into a drawing with the 10 first adopters to receive 1BTC.
Do you have a link to a category this is better suited for?

you guys need to make sure you understand the difference between clicks and impressions.  clicks are clicks ON THE AD and impressions are unique visitors.  I can't interface bitcoin with ad clicks, the coding is much easier to interface to blog impressions.  Regardless we pay out much higher than ad sense, until our first 100,000 views we will be paying 10$ for 1000 impressions, whereas ad sense would pay you something like 25 cents for all that.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn BTC by blogging about bitcoins on: May 15, 2013, 08:35:27 AM
I am thinking of implementing a system to reward early adopters.  Something like for the first 100,000 hits, you get 10$ for 1000 hits.  That is insane by normal advertising standards but as with everything in bitcoin, early adopters should receive a reward.

I have a reserve of 100BTC right now for paying out bloggers.  There is no upper limit, I would say that our system pays out between 4 to 10 times more than google ad sense.  It is set as 1$ for every 1000 impressions, or visits.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn BTC by blogging about bitcoins on: May 15, 2013, 04:28:08 AM
Ad sense usually only pays due to clicks on ads, a payout is not guaranteed due to just impressions alone.  They do pay for every 1000 impressions just like us but it pays as low as 10c for keywords like bitcoin which does not have a large amount of advertising money behind it.  There is somewhere on the google page that you can look up the values for every keyword.

Hello, this is the owner of http://www.taxingbitcoins.com, we have currently implemented a system we call "blog-steading".  This system is built on a blog front-end, you will receive a blogging account and will use it to either write custom blog posts or news story reviews of bitcoin tax and regulatory information.  You will receive a credit of 10$ in BTC for every 1000 users that view your post.  For users that get on board early we will give a bonus as well as enter you in a drawing for 1btc (first 10 bloggers).

We are looking for a few bloggers to help fill the site with current content before going live and advertising our site.  Check out the site's contribute page for more information about applying for an account.  If you are already a blogger we encourage you to transition over to our site, we pay significantly more than google ad sense does for page impressions.

We believe this platform will be a catalyst for high quality content production and want to be the central source for up to the minute bitcoin regulatory information.

Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks, look forward to hearing from you!
