HTMLCOIN Announcement - 05 January 2018
New Exchange ListingWe are pleased to inform our community that as of today January 5th, 2018 we have been listed on Cryptobridge which is one of the most innovative decentralized exchanges on the market. According to Cryptocompare.com, A decentralized exchange is an exchange market that does not rely on a third party service to hold the customer's funds. Instead, trades occur directly between users (peer to peer) through an automated process. This system can be achieved by creating proxy tokens (crypto assets that represent a certain fiat or crypto currency) or assets (that can represent shares in a company for example) or through a decentralized multi-signature escrow system, among other solutions that are currently being developed. This system contrasts with the current centralized model in which users deposit their funds and the exchange issues an IOU that can be freely traded on the platform. When a user asks to withdraw his funds, these are converted back into the cryptocurrency they represent and sent to their owner. The HTMLCOIN Foundation is truly grateful with all the effort and commitment https://crypto-bridge.org/#about has put into this partnership, All the best, Arturo Morales, BA, Grad.Cert. The HTMLCOIN Brazilian community was able to contact the FBI regarding the disappearance of Coingather. They have invested too much money and needed to take this very seriously. The FBI informed them that they were already investigating. All of us who were affected need to fill out this form to help build the case faster. FBI of Cleveland: Phone: (216) 522-1400 2 - send complaint to this web site: complaint.ic3.gov/default.aspx# https://twitter.com/bitcoinnetwork3/status/935674469590343680

***Wallet v2.0.0.x Update and Required Upgrade*** Shortly after activating the network and opening up the source to mining, the HTMLCOIN devs discovered two small, non-critical bugs that would have an impact on the block generation time or cause the block rewards to function differently than planned in the spec. Because these were caught shortly after launch, we decided to freeze the GitHub and correct the bugs with an immediate-release wallet upgrade. That release is being compiled and tested now. No users were negatively affected by this, and the extent of the issue was both small enough, and caught early enough, that there was no appreciable impact to the coin economy. Any users who have coins on the exchanges or in the “old” HTML5 wallet (have not swapped yet) are not affected and don’t need to do anything. But, due to the necessary wallet upgrade, all users who downloaded or compiled their own v2.0.0.0 wallet will need to upgrade to the forthcoming release version, v2.0.0.x. The best practice for upgrading is to simply install the new wallet over the previous version. This update will not touch the wallet file, and the blockchain remains the same. Shortly after release, the previous version of the wallet will not be compatible and users of the previous version will no longer see an accurate representation of the blockchain. As the blockchain is a distributed ledger, no coins or addresses are at risk, but you will need to upgrade your wallet client in order to interact with the blockchain (send or view transactions) going forward.

* Please check the time of SWAP in the above as November the 20th at 12:00pm Chicago time (18h00 GMT) That's still 9 hours away as of the time of this post * Devs are super busy with the actual swap implementation and also the tons of Dapps they are releasing shortly, (but they are quick to respond in telegram. Please join us there for the quickest updates) >> https://t.me/htmlcoinofficialThere are also 3 separate HTMLCOIN Twitter channels to get the lastest info and ask questions Main HTMLCOIN https://twitter.com/htmlcoinSouth Africa HTMLCOIN https://twitter.com/htmlcoinrsaBrazil HTMLCOIN https://twitter.com/HtmlcoinBrasilHere's the latest from the Devs about Swap PLEASE READ HTMLCOIN will swap on November the 20th at 12:00pm Chicago time (18h00 GMT). Please note this is a guide time as the exchanges need to follow their controls and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all holdings. Your HTMLCOIN Questions: please read www.htmlcoin.com/whitepaperSwap updates: If your holdings are on exchanges swap from HTML5 to HTML will be automatic. If your holdings are in a local wallet you can swap with the self swapping webform available later on 20th November. Don't panic, self swapping at 1:1 will be available for 60 days before the ratio reduces to 2:1. As the exchanges go through their process of setting up the new blockchain, wallets and swapping they each have their own approach which will include closure for withdrawals and deposits. Your Safety: However well protected you all think you are, there will always be ways to find you and get into your wallets. Please avoid sharing your private details in this forum or with anyone who PM’s you. It exposes you to risks which we cannot protect you from, and we know there are people here planning to use this information. We will not tolerate anything which threatens the community Information Releases: There will be people sending misleading information and spoofing our sites. The only authoritative source of information is the HTML Foundation social feeds, websites and GITHUB. If in doubt, confirm with at least two officers of the Foundation. No one will get left behind. Don't panic. HTMLCOIN is not a security: The HTMLCOIN project is building a new blockchain as a utility for the coins/tokens on it, which are a store of value and a medium of exchange, the value of the coins is something dictated by the markets and not the Foundation. Put simply, all the coins are out there and have been mined/forged/minted, and you are selling them to each other for what you think they are worth. The HTMLCOIN Foundation is only interested in getting the best technology in place to secure the future of the HTMLCOIN blockchain, and gain broad adoption of secure distributed ledger technology. No one from the Foundation will discuss value of HTMLCOIN or encourage its purchase on exchanges. Any comments that may be construed this way are private views and not those of the Foundation. HTMLCOIN New Features: 1. Uses both the Bitcoincore (0.14) and Ethereum Client (CPP) codebase allowing Ethereum Virtual Machines to run on the more secure Bitcoin UTXO model 2. QTUM compatibility layer which allows for easy porting of existing Ethereum and Solidity Smart Contracts 3. Proof Of Work (POW 1% pa) and Blackcoin's Proof Of Stake 3.0 (POS 1% pa) to ensure efficiency and security 4. Enhanced Hash Rate Compensation adjusts every 120 blocks with short, medium, and long block time samples make fairer and faster 60s blocktimes. 5. Oracles built on top of the Ethereum Virtual Machine allow offchain settlement of Smart Contracts with authorised data feeds like weather or stock prices 6. Real Time Checkpointing protects the history of the chain from being changed by 51% attacks by broadcasting block height and hash of the main chain. 7. Simple Payment Verification SPV allows Android or iOS mobile wallet to authenticate a transaction or Smart Contract without downloading the entire blockchain Lastly, there will be a separate webform for manual swapping that will be posted when Swap as been completed sucessfully. Again, if you want the latest info. Join us on the telegram group. Once the swap is over, I'm sure Devs will have more time to come on here, but right now, telegram group is your best bet. https://t.me/htmlcoinofficial
