3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we propose Bitcoin to RELIGION? on: July 09, 2013, 08:21:00 PM
From what I saw...

we are only trying to push Crypto-currency to merchants... so a lot of stores accept btc...

how about we push them to SECOND in command from GOV?

5  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Rare Mac Cube on: July 09, 2013, 07:08:15 PM
Selling my Mac Cube that I've been holding onto as a collectible.  It is working fine, upgraded GPU and full 1.5Gb of RAM, as well as AirPort.  These are becoming increasingly rare as only about 70,000 were ever produced.  Cubes were discontinued over 10 years ago, but many owners have upgraded the processors to keep them surprisingly current; would be a really fun to mod.  Anyone interested? I'm asking 2BTC or best offer.

The smart guy will be the one who makes his own alt-coin that can be mined by Ps3/PS4.

Hey, I think you're off to a good start, but it looks like a lot of other sites out there.  You could use some informational content.  Check out the self-evident.org section on BTC, you may want to link to it.  IMHO she does the best job of explaining bitcoin fundamentals.  Are you making any good advertising revenue??

Not for Bitcoin, but your idea isn't all bad.

You could develop your product into a children's toy to teach them about the value of cryptocurrency.  I realize this sounds like a joke, but I'm actually slightly serious.  I grew up begging my parents for those little digimon games that you snap together and battle your friends; would you buy your child a KidKoin miner for $20? Lol idk
15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Does the mining community need GUI applications? on: July 08, 2013, 08:10:23 PM
The answer to your question is yes, so I'll rattle off a few ideas.  First off, an Android widget that can track miner speed, pool info, etc would be really nice.  I'm always looking at the MtGox ticker on my phone, it would be nice to see my speed/shares there next to it.  Next, I think that MobileMiner/Litecoin Miner for iPhone and Android is awesome and would like to see a better GUI for it.  Phone mining is not a viable mining option, but I think it is a fantastic tool for introducing people to cryptocurrencies.  Additionally, I think that if a GUI miner/wallet app was developed (even for some mining some new mobile crypto) it could be largely successful.  From what I've noticed, a lot of people want to get right into mining as soon as they realize the legitimacy of Bitcoin.  In this stage, new miners are impulsive and want to jump right in.  The barriers of capital and knowledge are high for mining though, so many potential bitcoiners get turned away.  I'm just thinking how every kid has a smartphone these days; it seems like some bullshit PokemonCoin miner for 99 cents could catch like wildfire right now...  Anyway,  that's all I got for now.

Open a gym where the bikes and treadmills are rigged up to generate electricity.  Charge a bunch of people to come power your rigs, and use water from the swimming pool to cool down your chips and customers.  Wink

Cgminer is showing a: Fatal JSON error in configuration file. Configuration file could not be used.

I tried it again, this time setting GPUs up manually in cgminer, but the problem seems to be the same.

Did I screw up the cgminer.conf when I was editing? All I did was remove your pool info and sub mine.

Just got this up and running on my rig.  I may not have edited cgminer.conf or akbash.conf correctly, because cgminer crashes about 2-5 minutes into mining and doesn't restart by itself (without me having to enter pool info).  Any tips are greatly appreciated as I am not familiar with akbash at all and am still a novice with cgminer.  This is revolutionary though, I really appreciate all the effort you put into this.
