1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GoNetwork - ICO by Winners of ETHWaterloo - World's Largest ETH Hackathon! on: February 21, 2018, 03:48:04 AM
It usually takes a couple weeks before you’d expect one to arrive. Don’t worry though. As long you have submitted the whitelist application, you are already on mailing list to receive further update regarding to KYC and tokensale.

I signed up for the whitelist about a week ago, my brother two days after me. He received a mail from the gonetwork mail or what it was but I have not received one yet. Anyone knows why?

Hi,

This will be the first ICO that I plan to participate in so I have a few questions. How does the sale work? Do I transfer ETH to a wallet and have it on your site? When it opens, do I have a place reserved or is it first come first serve, so one person could buy it all for example? Is their any info on how much tokens will cost?

Thanks

I have never invested in ICO before but I am a little interested in this one. How many total coins will there be? And am I correct that price per token is around $5?
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin drop to $3000? on: December 30, 2017, 02:39:23 PM
Unlikely. We're probably looking at a 80% drop right now, so 20 000 * 0,2 = 4000. Don't think it's going any lower than that.

Well, same pattern as 2013 after gox. Could take some time to recover. Or it will never do because we have too many alts.

This is what I have been spamming my friends that haven't been in the game very long. I welcome another crypto winter, will buy again for the first time since 2013 if that happens.

13K held pretty well on gdax. Bearfinex last (and costly for the bears) attempt to panic the hodlers.  Tongue

Looks like we're hitting the fear phase earlier than expected. I sure hope we don't reach capitulation on new years eve cause I'm planning on enjoying myself.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 500k in Three Years Predictions with Gold and Growth on: December 30, 2017, 01:48:36 PM
Haha 500k  Grin Those of us who were in during 2013 remembers these predictions. It's more likely we lose 80%+ again than reach 100k this year or next.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price drops below $15k..... on: December 22, 2017, 06:26:56 AM
The only reason it got so extremely high is because it had extreme momentum. If it gains momentum on the way down again I fear it might go very low. The scariest part is that it's down more than 25% and to me it feels like it only just gained traction.

A whale I know, who's been holding for years and had a few thousand coins, sold everything this week. If someone like that dumps it all, what will average joe do?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 20, 2017, 08:22:02 PM
Hi,
Im experiencing problems sending ethers using Jaxx on an iPhone. Every time i try I get ”transaction failed”. I’ve tried sending to several wallets but the problem persist. Any ideas what the problem might be? I'm completely new to ethereum.

Thanks

What a recovery, did not expect this. Any reason behind it? Been out of the loop for a few days

Had a nightmare that I woke up and the price was ~2,2k so it was quite surprising to see this upswing.

That's not a nightmare; cheap coins would be awesome.  I want to get my 21 coins!

Yea, me too but I'd prefer it to not get dumped while I'm asleep and can't join in on the train  Grin

Gonna call it now. People are gonna panic buy up that wall and in a few hours we'll be down below it again. These things always play out the same, no matter if it's buying or dumping

That wall on bitfinex looks like Mount Everest

Do you mean the wall of 2,029BTC for sale at $3650?    That's a little over $7million.    Do you think that it will get eaten or pulled?  Or do you think that it is going to cause the price to go down?

Sometimes those kinds of walls are reverse indicators, but I agree that 2k coins at these prices does add up to a lot of value.

I think it's keeping the price down but I also think it's likely that it gets pulled if price does get up there.

I think we're heading towards a new low. It feels worse getting there slow and steady than a flash crash that rebounds instantly though.
