13K held pretty well on gdax. Bearfinex last (and costly for the bears) attempt to panic the hodlers.  Tongue

The way I see it, it's just someone playing the markets with skill and good execution. End of year, some cashing out, little liquidity around. Perfect timing. This might well be Masterluc's expected dip to 10k. Come 2018, I expect a significant retrace. End of January, I expect ATH-fest. February, we'll be in Carolina.

And the Ripple thingy - I like Torque's hunch. BTW Torque, it was in someone else's dream before you spelled it out plainly. Can't remember who the other poster was. Anyway, Ripple is a premined uncapped banking scam. We all know what it's ultimately worth. Wanna profit on it? Be quick and get out. Hold at your own risk.

C'mon guys, we've seen worse. I know I have, and some of you have been in the game longer than I. So stop whining and accumulate FFS!

I meant that the dips started at 22 Dec are near the end. Millions bitcoins were sold by altcoin whales to prevent bitcoin rise, which definitely whould have spoiled their pumps. There are also many noobs selling bitcoins scared by the chart. Like the January, March, June and September dips which lasted max for a month,  we are heading for another bull run. My guess is that starting today we will go for another ATH in 1 month tops, and 50K-150K price range at the end of year 2018.  Cool

Well, same pattern as 2013 after gox. Could take some time to recover. Or it will never do because we have too many alts.

Sorry guys, I am depressed. It feels sad when you hold for years and such things happen. After every dip it's this feeling. But this time it feels a bit different.

This is what I have been spamming my friends that haven't been in the game very long. I welcome another crypto winter, will buy again for the first time since 2013 if that happens.

If I was a real bear, I wouldn't have those buy orders and I'd just leave for a different market. The faith that btc will inevitably bounce after hitting those lows and the fact that I will hodl half of those coins indefinitely makes me part bull - Just not an irrationally exuberant one. You guys need me when the shit hits the fan.

I'm the luckiest bear in the world. I seem to get pretty lucky because I'm not close to an expert in any field relating to bitcoin or analysis.

Confirmed lucky:

2 positions:

.15 btc @ 18x leverage: 2.7 btc short @ 13840

1000 ripple purchase @ 1.16

Guys, in December alone we are up 30%. Chill out!
It also looks like a blow off top on a monthly chart but we had worse (i.e. July).

Also, please open tradingview. Every bloody December/Jan we had a red candle! [correction]

I reckon 100 billion dollar ripple is the epitaph for this particular bubble.

I know market cap is dumb but let that sink in anyway.

It will only become interesting if we decidedly go below $10k. For now, it seems to be recharging above $10k for that final insane run in 2018.

Torque is clueless: it is useless to cite that guy, as he has unwavering faith in Bitcoin. Always has, always will be. Whatever he says is always based on the assumption that BTC will succeed, and that's what he will always reason towards.

You know, much of the disinformation you are spreading here was already being spread as far back as 2014. The 'arguments' here, poor as they are, have never really changed. It is really noticeable for someone that has been in the XRP community for years, and most of the arguments here with regards to Ripple are false, and mostly, 'hearsay' from years back already. Very few people here have actually looked into Ripple and XRP, studied its use case or done any more than a superficial analysis of its workings. Of course, there are always the ideological types here that would discard any truth or inconvenient fact they get confronted with (the same people that could make themselves believe green is purple), but most people here aren't like that. They are just badly informed, you included.

'Uncapped' is your first mistake. Ripple is capped at its current supply 'Banking scam' got strong conspiracy ish connations to that, but feel free to believe that is the case.

You know what the fun part is? People like me can watch you guys bask in ignorance for months and years to come, and still regurgitate the same false arguments all the way down. This place is and has always been a perfect example for what cultism and group think might lead to, and in that sense, I look forward to the weeks and months to come.

Morning everyone! Made some good progress with S7 problems this week, let's check in and see how ole bitcoin is doing!!!

12.7. Hm....

So is this people selling to catch year end tax bennies, or the end of the world? If the former then no big one. If the latter that's a problem. I'm HODLing through 2018, will be interesting to see what it does Jan 1.

Looks like we're hitting the fear phase earlier than expected. I sure hope we don't reach capitulation on new years eve cause I'm planning on enjoying myself.

Nothing much happened last New Years eve. Everyone was probably too drunk to trade, and it takes some time to sober up afterwards. You are probably safe getting drunk because it's one holiday that both East and West celebrate. Everyone will be too drunk to care.

I could swear I have seen the supply increase by billions this year.

Anyway it's good to see that ripple is p2p, decentralized and censorship resistant

Thanks
