1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / VLT (VAULT) on: July 22, 2020, 04:51:17 AM
VLT (VAULT)

The Bankroll Network’s official token (ERC-20) on the Ethereum blockchain that captures value by being scarce, a store of value, and having a liquidity pool that is perpetually supported by the Bankroll ecosystem. It has a maximum supply of 1,800,000 million tokens. VLT is unique in that it follows a proof of liquidity model, meaning that the entire token supply was released as soon as it was minted. All tokens in existence were supplied to their OTC purchasers and any remaining were added as liquidity onto Uniswap V2. The funds raised from the OTC sale were then used to provide liquidity to the Uniswap VLT/ ETH trading pool from the very beginning. No additional tokens were kept for the Bankroll team/developer. The limited supply and proof of liquidity model in combination with the surrounding VLT dapp ecosystem create onchain value, and provide for very interesting tokenomics. For the dapp Life, there is a custodial wallet that was setup to support VLT price constantly. This wallet will continually purchase VLT from the open market (through Uniswap), creating constant buy pressure and longterm price support. Additionally, the custodial wallet creates a whale position that locks up a large share of VLT from the market which cannot be sold.

While VLT does not have a built-in staking mechanism, as it has reached it’s maximum supply, Stack: VLT Edition provides opportunity for VLT holders to earn passively and accumulate more VLT overtime (while also removing more VLT from the circulating supply). The design for VLT was created with much deliberation and provides structure for the VLT dapp ecosystem that incentives players to hold, as it will always be supporting the VLT price. The VLT token contract itself controls the main liquidity pool on Uniswap. Fees of 0.3% are constantly collected and retained in the liquidity pool. This means that VLT will constantly increase in value the more it is used. The value of VLT is not speculative and the floor of liquidity is constantly increasing. The smart contract code for the VLT token and Bankroll dapps utilizing VLT are all open source and have been verified on the Etherscan.io.

DISTRIBUTION

At the launch of the VLT contract, there was an OTC sale available to the public for a short window (10 ETH minimum purchase at a purchase price of $0.10 USD/token), which was heavily oversubscribed and sold out almost immediately. In total, 637 ETH was raised from 1,465,000 tokens. The 637 ETH was then injected and used to seed to the liquidity pool on Uniswap V2 for the 198,000 VLT tokens made available during the public sale. How do I know there is no fraud on this website. Does it have public code on github?

You can check this out : https://github.com/p3d-bot/p3d-bot.github.io

Additionally if you go through the wiki you'd come across :  https://fomo3d.hostedwiki.co/pages/Interacting%20with%20Contract%20Using%20MEW

You can directly interact with the contract if you wish bypassing any web frontends.

Behind the madness of it all, if you dig into how this all works you'll find this is one of the most honest projects in crypto.  Humans provide the chaos which fuels an algorithmic engine wrapped in immutable smart contract bliss.

This round of FOMO 3D is unique, observe the Discord, read through the history..The chaos has evolved in that now it has no end, Round 9 is backed by neverending excitement around never ending

How is this different from what Komodo is already doing? It looks like dPoW, just with a new name?

I'd like to hear more as to the answers on these two questions as well please

Thanks!

They sold a lot of coins and now we find out that the software is not working ... Some time ago I immediately ran a test and found that it was impossible to send a coin to a friend from the android wallet, while it was possible to do it through the CLI wallet. All of this is not professional and I believe it will follow a similar path to electroneun (ETN). A beautiful site, a nice idea, many have believed and spent a lot of USDs. For now, the staff has many dollars ... and for now they keep them (and goodnight?) ... the value of the coins will collapse and will remain only a nice project on paper? I do not know !

Bleeding edge tech at launch really needs to stop bleeding..Not sure what we'd call it then, but ya know, then we wouldn't ever have any problems..ETN was what, a penny per coin tops during ICO, now 5 cents or so, 5x gain and holding over 4 months..Damnit, that is rough, should of gone with stocks or something...WTH do you actually have to complain about that is real? If you have no patience get out of the ICO world, it could be YEARSSSSSS before you see whatever you think is "success".  Anyway, best of luck no matter the case

EDIT:
Can I import the keys from the cli wallet into the Web wallet and recover my coins that way ?

Yes, that would work fine, and what you are trying to recover is the ability to manipulate / view your coins on the blockchain.. Keep those keys safe, the coins themselves are always safe no matter which method you use to access them.

Be Well

The thing with hacker one was only for advertising
It was a good reason to wash an important amount of BTC and ETH
I see that the world focusing here on just one thing.

It was great marketing, that played out perfectly..I've no serious issue no matter the case in regards to scheming in this matter, that will come to light for better or worse one day.  Nothing will matter if the whole house is built over a sinkhole, if the network gets "heavy" is it all going to cave in? Who the hell knows, nobody can answer this right now.

The listing of the ICO team is something I find quite weird anyway.  Before ICO's people got excited if a respected developer joined a coin and with good reason.

It was strange, and that is certainly causing uncertainty in my mind, although I do recognize this launch was certainly born of a marketing team in lieu of Dev team beginnings which helps put things in perspective.

The success of this coin goes way beyond the team, although they are important, and this is what I believe in.

Absolutely, what I fear is the development team is strong when it comes to developing anything related to marketing;  web development, UX, backend storage (DB, etc), and apps for mobile devices.  At launch they where obviously in over there heads, part of that was due to a MASSIVELY successful ICO, a great reason for having your systems steamrolled...Who cares at that point, the interest and enthusiasm would of rolled on if every single machine hosting something Electroneum was completely offline, the concept was proven, it is alive.  Personally during the time of mass chaos my belief was higher than ever of Electroneums success, as where many, it was something standing out from the crowd by far.

As time went on some updates through Richard gave away signs to me that his technical team was in some part covering their butts..Amazon had a problem? Really ? The deployment on AWS was flawed when it came November 1st ? How was it not flawed throughout the entire ICO when record sign ups where occurring.  It was then some kind of unexpected ambush of a launch ? Seriously, there is absolutely NO excuse for this, it is technical incompetence at Electroneum, blame any 3rd party till your blue in the face, it matters not YOU AS ENGINEERING are defining the parameters in which 3rd parties like Amazon must accommodate, this was a failure.

The technical team couldn't account for a large number of miners at launch? How in the hell do your official pools FAIL miserably, while third parties pools run great ? Because the 3rd party pools have EXPERIENCE, this team DOES NOT, they failed here as well, absolutely no damn excuse to have your mining pools fail, 3 of them!?

Now that we've had some down time for the team to catch up, prepare, and ready themselves for what is to come, I'd like to know more.  Sell me on this Dev team, introduce them on Youtube, interview them for all to see, either they are proud and confident, or anxious and squirelly like they where in the background when Richard was covering everyone's ass during the chaos November.. Show me what this Dev team has, let them kick my ass in how wrong I am about them, make a fool of every technical idiot like me questioning them, please.

There is some time, I'm betting till early summer where none of what I write matters, as the network will run whether run by skilled staff or not, it's when this thing truly takes off that we've trouble coming, trouble I will not take a leap of faith on..I believe in Richard, and I feel like he's not being told the entire truth by his team, because it's to embarrassing a truth for them to tell.

Anyway, I'll do as TheCryproMaster says and move on if this topic simply continues to be ignored. It's sad though, as I have very high hopes, and emotionally I do not want to leave, but rationally I cannot stay if communication doesn't improve vastly from the Dev team in the next couple months.

But clearly you have options if you're not confident in the team. Sell and move on. I have full confidence, the timeframes are not being met, but as was demonstrated when employing hacker one they want to get it right and release a good product then just haphazardly trying to please impatient people like you.

Move on.

The mess users created leading to hacker one's involvement for good measure is not relevant here.  Do you believe having a Developer listed on the team as "Lead Role" - Paper Wallets is a good thing ? Something to be confident in ? I point these items out hoping for a re-assuring answer, but as you pointed out, moving on is an option, which is unfortunately why I'm putting out a last ditch effort to get an update.

What is it that you gives you full confidence in the Development team ? On the marketing side I agree, every aspect of Electroneum is full speed ahead so to speak with the exception of the Dev team.  If this thing goes meteoric, which I've no doubt, Electroneum is going to be huge, but will that success be ripped to shreds by a Dev team scratching there heads as the network load increases ? It is impossible for me to answer that bit with any confidence at all.

@contraband:
I know that it is hard to deal with upset users, especially when you obviously are fed yourself only with snippets what is going on.
I just have to address this one more time: The technical performance of the dev team is inferior.

You (I mean the whole Electroneum team Cheesy) earned nearly 40millions and are not able to provide top notch network infrastructure and security ?
That is what I really don´t understand.

Hiring good developers would have been a good idea months back, including Pros like the Amazon guys. There are plenty of mechanism, ready to use, which deal about every security concern which gets brought up. You got flooded by a bot net - there are plenty of DDoS Protection-services. Overloaded websites are not really state of the tech and with the use of good network infrastructure - well controllable.

The website was not secure at all, you implemented step by step further security boundries. That would have been necessary from the beginning.

The Linux scripts: They are just 1:1 copies, very lightly modified of Monero, there are still some Monero lines in the sources - mentioning "Monero". Even the electroneum-wallet-cli shows "Monero 'Helium Hydra' (v0.11.0.0-release)" No sign of real developement.
Just an approach of minimum investments to achieve the maximum goal.

The downloads page showed at the beginning some Miners (GPU ones) which were not usable. They were usable for Monero wallet addresses but NOT compatible with Electroneum ones. They quickly disappeared and were exchanged with ones which work.
I had to google to find working ones, which are Monero miners. Glad I found them but it would have been nice, if I would have been in the position from hour 0. I was online, but could mine only hours later.
Then the password changing mails and now the website is down. I tend to think that the team simply wasn´t ready for the deadline Nov 1st.

You see, most of my criticism is about the technical issues and the inexperience of the team, because those errors are poisonous for the image of the whole team and ICO. I still trust all of you, and that is why I believe in the coin. But sadly you made many many errors and took the dangers too lightly.

I really would encourage some technical guy to give statements about what happened, what was compromised and how this gonna be resolved. I am not willing to change my email passwd as it is secure, as long as you cannot give me infos, which mails or if all mail addresses have been stolen.

This post I quote is from November 3rd, and to this day I still have little confidence in the capability of Electroneum's technical team.  I see a young team, with little prior experience before entering the cryptocurrency space.  At launch I saw 3rd party mining pools working, while Electroneums official pools where down, with questions still not answered to this day regarding payments from official pools.   Please at this point, burn me to the ground in how wrong I am, that I missed new hires, more experienced devs coming in, etc.

I worry, as I normally evaluate at a more technical level, I gain confidence in a project as I see the Devs communicate, and get excited about something like an Atomic Swap, etc..I don't see a damn thing from the Electroneum Dev team, it's scary.  Please restore mine and others confidence in those in charge of maintaining the heart of this great project.

I don't want to pick on Adam, but instead whoever is in charge of the "TEAM" page..Please guys, read his description :

Quote
Adam has a First in Computer Science from the University of Kent.

He leads the Javascript development of Electroneum, with a specific lead role in developing and maintaining the offline paper wallet system that allows 100% security of Electroneum stored funds.

You've had this guy as a lead for paper wallets? Was this ever a good description? I'm sure this is not all he does, that is a laughable position as paper wallets are a dime a dozen, just pick one, modify the code  / images to suit your needs, and done.  Even if it is 10X more complex than how I make it sound, this is not a good position to specify as "Lead Role"..The image portrayed on the technical side is not good at all

Thank You

When authorities will begin blocking exchanges and mining pools web sites access, you will see that what he/she says will began to make a lot of sense to you too and all the believers.

I believe it, I just don't see how this effects privacy coins, it's not as if authoritative entities bearing down on crypto was not forseen, that is the whole point of privacy coins, they will adapt with ease no matter how strong the pressure..It seems BitTorrent and TOR still run strong despite endless attempts to end them.

Centralized exchanges are temporary, in the near future decentralized exchanges will be the norm.  P2P Mining has existed for some time, mining pools are not necessary, they are just convenient.

Any word on any other exchanges.. the wallet on coinexchange.io has been in maintenance for at least a day

yeah I noticed too - very annoying ...
they did have an issue with miners mining directly into their wallet- which is a messy thing to do, nasty miners.
so they have a screwed wallet with a gazillion tiny TXs, question is how long it will take them to sort it out

I received a withdrawal from Coinexchange yesterday, if that helps anyone, they seem to of fixed the problem.

I'm afraid I was one of those miners, although it was just as much surprise to me as anyone, I had late night pasted the coinexchange address into my miner instead of Agama addy..A few weaks later I notice I have no coins!? oh..They're on Coinexchange, oops Smiley So sorry for that, although out of curiousity, this coin is designed for small, fast, microtransactions.  I don't understand how that caused harm to the wallet if anyone could elaborate a bit.

Thanks!! And Sorry about that!

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM??Whats wrong with MAGOS ICO/TOKEN???SCAM?? on: October 04, 2017, 09:57:19 PM

I'm not sure why they would distribute tokens if it where a scam, or work to re-brand.  I'm enjoying this one, it's interesting because the premise behind it all is AI prediction, how much of this ICO is based on prediction and maybe even communicated via AI to a degree.

This may explain the seemingly cryptic communication, the project seems to care not at all about human assumptions, complaints, etc..The AI just knew it need X amount of funding to move forward, and possibly predicted that at some point after the ICO began, that further intervention by any human team members is not needed, as no matter how distant the human members become, the wave of "hype" is now sufficient to carry the ICO to at least minimum requirements.

If you think about it, why should any of the team care whatsoever about anyone who invests, it's completely irrelevant.  The AI makes bets, hopefully more winning than loosing, and investors in theory make some nice gains.  That is this project at the start anyway, it doesn't need anymore hype or a single person to care it even exists, the AI architects are now funded well enough to continue enhancing the AI, and that is all they care about.

Satisfaction in the project may continue to decrease rapidly with anger and calls of scams, but I wouldn't be surprised if more cryptic information pours out in the near future about bets made, and results without any warning.

If nothing else, it makes for a neat story in my mind at least, that the AI could of possibly been running near everything we see for who knows how long at this point. Maybe at least makes the fear of complete loss a little more fun for some Smiley

I’m not too familiar with bitquence but from looking at it quickly it seems like another “diversification” option, where they simply take your investment (ETH) and split it between several accounts with various alts via the “universal wallet”

In a few of their infographs they are comparing themselves to Ledger Nano S, Trezor and such which to mean means there positioning themselves as more of a “universal wallet” then what combicoin is.

I also couldn’t find if they have something like the TRIA token for dividends but it doesn’t seem like it

Bitquence was created to "bundle" coins based on risk for the average person that knows little about cryptocurrency, its a frontend that combines coins into "bags" with labeling that translates to the average person.  Like ordering your groceries online and saying just get me the top 20 healthiest items at the store this week, then the store delivers it to you neatly packed in a bag, you eat, live long, and prosper..etc !!

However, your response helped greatly in that if a person that is deep enough into cryptoland can go take a peek at something like Bitquence, and finds the message is maybe not completely clear as to what the core point of the project is, then well, that certainly raises the bar for CombiCoin, in that the message is very simple, very clear in my opinion, and that makes all the difference when reaching out to a wide audience.

I read through (scanned) a lot of posts, so forgive me if this has been brought up.  If CombiCoin where asked to differentiate themselves from Bitquence at this point in time, what would be the key points where the two differ to a great degree ?

Second, in the future it seems Bitquence would likely be interested in focused development of a system like this as a feature of their coin.

Lastly, have CombiCoin and Bitquence ever had an exchange of words ? The two projects seem very much complimentary, it seems to me larger gains could be had with CombiCoin "Combined" with Bitquence.

I know nobody wants to hear all that with all the high energy and excitement, as well as a very successful round of fundraising, so everything aside, I wish you guys well..It's a great idea in it's user facing simplicity and backend complexity.
