1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coingecko reliable to watch and get market info? on: April 11, 2018, 02:51:38 PM
I came across a site i like called coingecko.com because you can see what the coin has done in the past and also convert it up top to usd very easy to make sure you really understand its value. Does anyone know if this is a reliable and accurate site or if there is a better site for this?

Thanks

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to crypto. Should I buy Tron TRX? on: January 21, 2018, 05:06:51 AM

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying coins on multiple platforms? on: January 20, 2018, 02:49:00 PM
up until now i have only been comfortable buying off Bittrex. since doing research on coinmarketcap (which i just learned about on here) i have been looking for certain coins i cant find on bittrex. say for instance Medibloc MED. im either searching wrong or they dont have it. which platforms do you all buy/sell/trade using that you feel comfortable with and find reliable? I have had great success with Bittrex im just wanting to buy a few other coins i cant seem to find when searching.

Also, i cant find a post someone put up the other day regarding how to find out about ICO's? there was several links to sites that talk about new ICO's coming up. Does anyone know any good places to look up and learn about ICO's?

Thanks in advance.

oh and last but not least, there is really a coin called tittiecoin TTC? lmao
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy? on: January 20, 2018, 02:18:26 PM
Thank yoiu all for the replies. I had already done what everyone said and bought up a bunch of different ones to diversify a little and put more into the ones that appeaer to be safest for the long term. im not looking to day trade. I guess i should have asked when do you (the members) feel its the right time to buy? I was just curious everyone's position on the best time to buy though i know its near impossible to predict such a thing as the right time to buy.
Thanks
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would you dump XRP for something else or hold it? on: January 20, 2018, 02:07:00 PM
Just curious. i know everyone says don't buy it. i bought it a long time ago and am far in the green for the little i put in. it doesn't really excite me and its not sounding like a good long term. would you dump it for something else like XLM or another or just hold onto it? even if it went belly up im not out alot however id like to make the most of my investments so would dumping it for xlm and buying 3 xlm for everyone 1 xrp be worth it in the long run or just ride it out and see? im simply asking what youd do i realize there is no guarantee or way of knowing 100%.

You can answer this question yourself if you look at Ripple statistics and follow its growth. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/ This altcoin is great and it is also a crypto that is profitable for banks. Thus, holding Ripple is the best decision. IMHO.

Thank you i was unaware of how to use coinmarket cap after trial and error im starting to understand it as i work through it.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins worth less than $ 1 which will give x 100 on: January 20, 2018, 01:57:22 PM
Liking Sexcoin (SXC) more than ever. Great potential and you can scarf them up for $.07 cents. As a bonus, it's exchange traded and the wallet actually works.

is this SXC on the bittrex platform do you know? i cant seem to find it to take a look at it?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins worth less than $ 1 which will give x 100 on: January 20, 2018, 01:54:54 PM
Don't look at the price. Look at the market cap and the concept.

yes, market cap is most imphttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2790551.40ortant criteria for me. I saw when Snovio with the low market cap made x50+ after the ICO... And how ICO that raised hard cap cannot do x2-x3)

Could you please explain a little more what you mean about the market cap? in a newbie and not very familiar with how to read that.

on bittrex when you log in there are 2 boxes in the upper left. one says bitcoin markets or has the BTC symbol and markets after and the other has the $ symbol with markets after. is that what you are referring to? i dont really understand the BTC markets or what they mean when i look at that one?

I bought some too as a trial to see what happens
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More good news for litecoin on: January 18, 2018, 09:12:57 PM
Yeah Litecoin is Litecoin, but it's not fucking Bitcoin now is it?

I don't think it will matter how powerful Litecoin becomes, it will never dethrone the king.

Bitcoin is the number one undisputed champion GOD lord savior legendary eternal king master overlord of ALL COINS PERIOD.

Thinking like this is exactly how you get beat in business. The moment you think your king, untouchable, or whatever other God like references you made to BTC someone will come along with a bigger and better version. Complacency is not king. You can bet my right nut there is some under the radar geniuses being backed by the 1% to create something better and we all know it has room for improvement. BTC is the first great...there will be many more to come over the years. Shit a few years ago they were calling this a fad and now there's what over two hundred cryptos, some of them doing huge things to the financial industry. I wonder if the professor who made this statement at a major university still thinks the all mighty dollar is the legendary eternal master overlord blah blah blah of currency now?

Whos hungrier? the man clawing tooth and nail to get to the top of the mountain or the man sitting on top checking out his views oblivious to the hundreds of hungry coming up the other side? In business you either need to be the first or the best. BTC was the first now watch what people take and do with the original principal created. Im excited to see the next couple years.

Kid I have held Litecoin since it was $5 and I still have them to this day. I've been around the block for many years. I have seen coins come and go, you say there are 200 coins? Try over 100,000 billion coins throughout history. They have all come and challenged the Bitcoin the king, they have all been slaughtered like cows in a slaughterhouse (which is a really fucked up comparison btw).

There is no coin to ever beat Bitcoin. I am also looking forward to the years ahead. Every newly created coin is technically superior to Bitcoin, but will any of them dethrone the first? The best? No.

It's the gold of the cryptocurrency world, it is what everyone wants, it is what everyone lusts after. Bitcoin is the lord king holy grail of the crypto community and it will forever be.

Can you even imagine "Litecoin" being the king? People trading 2 Bitcoins for 1 Litecoin? Or people trading 2 Bitcoins for 1 Ethereum? It makes no fucking sense.

Can you imagine people saying "Litecoin is the number one king of all coins no coins can beat it"

It doesn't sound good at all now does it? But "Bitcoin is the number one king coin of all coins no coins can beat it" That shit rings true.

100,000 billion coins? well first off is that even a number? yes kind of its just a very uneducated way to say far larger words than you carry in your vocabulary.  Your education definitely doesn't supersede your ego. Im not sure what your trying to say? a trillion? a quadrillion? in that case no there most certainly are not a trillion + different types of cryptos out there. if your referring to all the way back to the start of currency and man well then that holds no relevance because we are on a crypto coin forum discussing crypto currency not every form of currency since the dawn of ages.

Im not saying litecoin will dethrone BTC. Im saying some coin some day will. That is how we progress forward in modern day society. we take an existing idea and improve on it. If we said "hey the model T is the best car we no longer need to try to build anything else because its the most economical vehicle made" wed be riding around in fucking cars from the 20s right now KID. you obviously lack a lot in intelligence and try to make up for it by spewing blatant non factually backed comments. If your going to use BTC was the first so its the best as your argument well then dont bother. improving on ideas is how things progress and as a society we are progressing at a rate that is almost unfathomable. look at the way correspondence has changed in the past 20 ish years. hand written letters mailed > typed letters mailed> emails> text messages> and now texting is even speeding up to whatever the hell these kids are doing today to almost live communication/interaction through social media as just one ex. so to say BTC will be the only king of currency for ever is just plain ignorant. I'm not giong to waste anymore time. you cant educate the close minded ones who already know more than the almighty god.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to read bittrex to figure out what price i purchased a coin at? on: January 18, 2018, 08:23:52 PM
I haven't found any of the exchanges which do what you want exactly. Two simply suggestions on creating a portfolio tracker:

1) I use an iphone app call coinstats which allows you to tap into the API of the larger exchanges and track portfolio value. http://coin-stats.com/

2) I created a google sheet for myself to which I add each transaction I do (basically a ledger) with a summary tab which tracks my actual holding and uses the Cryptofinance google sheets add-on to determine the current market value in USD of each coin. https://jbuty.com/how-to-get-crypto-currencies-rates-and-more-in-google-sheet-1a57e571bc14

thank you very much. wow im really amazed no one else has asked for this or it doesn't exist? maybe an opportunity? maybe its out there and i dont know.

Bump for any more info?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy? on: January 18, 2018, 07:43:57 PM
If you are still planning on buying now, you should do it today. The market is already recovering from the big crash of the past few days, do if you invest now you will most likely see a +30% really quickly.

Ive been buying the last 2-3 days since the drop. i was just curious what everyone else was going after or interested in besides the somewhat obvious answer of ETH/BTC. I bought XLM, ETH, LTC. I dumped off a little ripple because i had a bunch of them and didn't really care the price drop since they were so cheap when i bought and it was maybe $150 worth to buy some really cheap others. im just trying to remember what else. I put the bulk of my purchases into the ones listed above right now while leaving the other ones i own alone. i wasn't worried, its not going away. Similar to fighting the war on drugs. Thats working real well. People want what they cant have and dont like being told what they can and can not do to them selves or with their possessions....at least thats my feelings toward prohibition of anything. sorry, end rant.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy? on: January 18, 2018, 07:55:40 AM
I guess i asked too soon. i was tied up in court all day and apperantly 12 hrs later things have made a turn around.

What would you buy right now that is the best  value due to taking a hit while holding the most potential in your opinion? I know ETH, XLM, and a few others i bought more of yesterday. curios what all you bought at great prices.

thanks for everyones input. it was great to hear everyone's thoughts.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy? on: January 17, 2018, 03:41:17 PM
PS what the hell us Nubbits NBT? the only one that seems to be doing well yet i something tells me act with caution when all the main players are dropping like flies and this ones up 25%. Im not qualified to say if its a good buy or not im just curious what it is?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy? on: January 17, 2018, 03:38:50 PM
I realize no one knows when the drop will level off. Im wondering though since i just bought a bunch more yesterday and lost a bunch more by today (lol never spend more than you can afford to lose) when do you foresee this leveling off and time to buy other currencies? Or how would you judge when the right time to buy is besides checking the mkt hourly and driving your self nuts? Id buy more today if i see a shift towards a leveling off however when i see 10-40% drops daily id like to mitigate losing hundreds of dollars per coin in a day when I buy more of them to hold onto.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIG DUMP!!! But i am waiting the chance to get in for more! What do you think? on: January 16, 2018, 05:25:33 PM
as much as i hate to see the monetary number in my acnt down......im buying more. its perfect timming to get in cheap on the ones you missed out on or just to pick up more. its not going away. the cats outta the bag. buy the true and trusted if you wanna play it safe. gamble on a little on the lesser known if you like and hopefully you make it big.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to read bittrex to figure out what price i purchased a coin at? on: January 13, 2018, 02:20:45 AM
I posted this yesterday and the post seems to have been deleted beacuse i cant find it doing a search. I have no warning stating i broke a rule and i cant find in the rules i did anything wrong.

Besides having my bookkeeper keep track of my standings + or - on a currency and for the year as this is not my full time career just something im very interested in can someone tell me if there is a way using the bittrex platform to see how much im up or down on a currency and how much i paid for each coin? I dont understand the bottom of the screen when it says this for ex. say for instance i purchased some Decred DCR. I dont know how much i purchased it for unless i write it down or keep an excel sheet. im starting to "diversify" lol so id like to know which ones are keepers and which i should dump, hold long term etc. i realize this wont tell me that info but knowing if im in the green or the red and how much would be extremely beneficial:

12/22/2017 12:17:43 PM   12/22/2017 11:51:31 AM   Limit Buy   0.00533378   7.65831262   7.65831262   0.00533377   -0.04094983

I would also like to say on a side note I find thsi forum by far the most helpful and no BS/Drama like many other forums whic some very obviously have alterior motives just spending 5 minutes on them. I really appreciate the help members on here offer and the straight shooters and honest members. Thank you.

If there is any graphs or something that makes this easier and someone could just point me in a direction id greatly appreciate it also.

Good news! Crowdholding is getting more and more ERC20 startups! Now you can earn ITT token by commenting on their tasks!

https://www.crowdholding.com/project/102/intelligent-trading-technologies-itt

I put a little money in it because it sounded like a reasonable business solution for the future. Im not sure how to really tell how its doing though. Does anyone know much of whats going on with it?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / need help understanding the readings on Bittrex please? on: January 11, 2018, 03:36:01 PM
Im trying to research what i bought all my different coins at regarding the rate but i dont understand. Lets say I click on Syscoin for ex and I see this. Im not sure how to understand what I paid for my coins. Is this where I would find it or is there another setting i can use to see how much im up and down on each currency since purchase?

Closed Date   Opened Date   Type   Bid/Ask   Units Filled SYS   Units Total SYS   Actual Rate    Cost / Proceeds
12/23/2017 04:17:29 AM   12/23/2017 04:17:29 AM   Limit Buy   0.00003900   487.67621538   487.67621538   0.00003894   -0.01904246

Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated. id like to see whether to sit on some or dump them for some better performers.
