3  Economy / Economics / Re: Elevator down and stairs up for BTC? on: February 08, 2018, 07:00:28 PM
As a investor you should always want stairs up. You need to understand that the "Elevator" of losses down for BTC was just because of the mad influx of money into bitcoin during the period where we had like 3 different forks and you saw BTC jump from 8k into 22k. It jumped up so quick that there was no real base on the mad influx that made it so easy to crash so hard. When it takes slower to rise and with a much lower percentage gain it will have the same lower percentage drop on the way down. (as all markets have peaks and valleys) As a investor who is in it for the long term on blockchain technology I would much rather see a much slower organic growth than "elevators" up any day. I hope you found this information useful!
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin stay? What should we do... on: February 02, 2018, 05:26:49 AM
Yeah nothing to worry about, if you followed the golden rule of never investing more than your OK with to lose you wouldn't even be sweating it right now. We needed a healthy correction when we shot up to 8-20k so quick that is so unhealthy for long term. I would much rather stand behind a project that is always steadily growing with upcoming technology versus something that is just getting blown up due to hype and following money.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC bullish momment on: February 01, 2018, 08:04:30 PM
All this is whales starting a sell with any bad news and than all these weak hand just keep selling and it creates a self fulfilling prophecy. You can tell it's pretty easily manipulation when you have these news articles writing and blasting these stories all around that have already happened or are just totally blown out of proportion in the first place. I would just take this time to actually study the market and read and digest the whitepapers of the projects you are in and interested in and keep the mind busy, and always learning.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most influential factor that triggers bitcoin prices to fall down? on: January 31, 2018, 06:50:36 PM
the most influential factor in bitcoin prices falling is all of these fake news articles coming out to get weak hands to sell. We have seen is yesterday even when bloomberg writes a story on the tether incident with the talks of the subpoena and than later re-edit it after everyone had already seen it and reacted to it that the subpoena was from at least a month or more ago. Being that the crypto market is already pretty violate just adding these fake news articles in and you get what you are currently seeing. Manipulation from the higher ups so they can scoop up some cheap crypto currencies before they too, admit that block chain technology is indeed the future.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cryptocurrency that you think is a good long term investment. on: January 23, 2018, 08:51:14 PM
I'll give my top three coins based on growth that I expect to happen throughout 2018.

My first Crypto I am a huge supporter of is DeepOnion, it is a privacy coin that is sent through the TOR network so it is totally anonymous. They have one of the most active dev teams and community I have ever seen and pumping out updates like crazy. They even have released a WooCommerce plugin for the ability to take and send payments through Onions essentially making a anonymous e commerce outlook, as well as a mobile wallet being released soon for iOS and Android operating systems.

My second crypto pick is DENT, it is trying to revolutionize the telecom industry where you can now sell and send your extra data to someone who needs it and does not want to buy the data from a provider that will just be price gouging them. It also helps 3d world countries hugely where for example they only sell data packages in 1, 3 and 5 gigabyte packages and whatever is not used from month to month just gets burned. That is like giving gas back to the gas station at the end of every month that you didn't use.

Last but not least I am a huge fan of High Powered Blockchain which is a company that is making it's own blockchain based on software AND hardware for super quick transaction times and transfers. I am huge on this crypto because of the fact that they are partnered with China UnionPay (which is bigger than VISA and Mastercard) and the sole fact that NEO is a angel investor and connected.

I have a feeling that all of these crypto currencies I listed will have major breakout years in 2018.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto research: Palm Beach, Standpoint, Stansberry, how to make the best of it. on: January 22, 2018, 07:28:25 PM
Great informative post, the quote below from you I really liked. Very in line with my ICO lookout points, I add in looking into the teams backgrounds/linkedin/and if the CEO has worked with any of the devs/team members and how those projects turned out. but going over this checkmark list on all ICO's is a good start for everyone trying to dive in to that crazy world.

Quote

Every investor should be able to answer this question and before investing in any coin, you should always answer these questions :
What is the problem the token is trying to solve? Does the token have a real utility? How long the team is working on it? Is there already a product? What are the skills of the dev team and how many are they? Is there a clear and detailed roadmap? How big is the current target market and is it in line with the market cap of the coin? What is the current and total supply? Is there any competitors in the crypto market and in the non-crypto market?

If you are able to answer to all these questions for a coin you invested in, well, hats off, you really did your homeworks !

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase freezing up on: January 19, 2018, 02:10:12 AM
You should just try to transition over to using GDAX instead of coinbase. GDAX is owned by Coinbase it is just their trading platform. Along with having a much better platform and ability to see better graphs and depth charts I'm pretty sure the fee's are less than Coinbase's as well for just about anything.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Weak Hands lose money, strong hands makes profits in this game! on: January 18, 2018, 08:53:57 PM
Yup, you explained it exactly. After been through a few decent sized dips myself now it doesn't even phase me in the slightest. Getting some buys on sub 10k bitcoin was a no brainer. Shoot even just look where it is today and it will probably be back up to approaching 14k in the next few days like nothing even happened in the first place!
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Crashing in 2018? Popped Bubble or Correction? + Bitconnect SCAM? on: January 18, 2018, 12:18:03 AM
This is just a us seeing a healthy correction that has been needed for quite some time. I still think it's only like 35-40% of the recent ATH which is still very healthy. Keep in mind that a lot of the exchanges have been restricting exchanges still so we still have people waiting on the sidelines with fist fulls of cash just ready to throw in. I think this will be one of the shorter correction phases we see, soon we will be off and growing again.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to spot a good crypto ICO on: January 17, 2018, 11:55:30 PM
I look at a few different aspects in a ICO when looking to invest.

If I were to break it down to the top 3 most important I would have to say the CEO/team, the community it has and behind it and finally how the tokens will be actually used in the product they are trying to bring to the table. I have seen a lot of revolutionary ideas in ICO's starting to come out in the scene but a lot less have actual case uses for the actual token you be purchasing. Besides that a very active strong community is a great thing to see and a good indicator of future success.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: January 12, 2018, 01:27:46 AM
Strategic for sure. Most people can read up on certain things (like blockchain technology) for example and study it and become very knowledgable about it, these are facts. Although it takes a whole new animal to be able to get a feel for the market and than the confidence in your smarts being able to lay down the big bucks behind your thought process. I guess it would be both but I feel like strategy / confidence in yourself and what you are doing / investing is a much bigger factor in the end.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HPB - High Performance blockchain on: January 11, 2018, 11:33:59 PM
HPB looks interesting. Too bad it's only on BiBox exchange. Tired of making soo many accounts Sad

That's a terrible excuse, 15 minutes of work opening a new exchange account and transferring funds over to get a coin at at least half priced of whatever it will be when it hits the exchange you have been waiting to get it on. The wealthy are not wealthy because they are lazy.

Anyways, yes HPB seems super interesting and it has been backed by NEO and is partners with China UnionPay (Which is bigger than Visa and Mastercard combined!) Once this coin gets a little more attention out here in the west it will be huge. It is currently only sitting at around a 200M marketcap. This market cap will reach in the billions very short term. I mean people are already saying it is the EOS of China. (and EOS is at over 6 Billion Market cap)
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hodlers! Congratulations! on: January 07, 2018, 07:45:49 AM
It is indeed a huge milestone!

Passing the 1k mark and staying stable above is huge. If anything a lot of these new investors are going to be coming in and I'm sure most have heard or seen Ethereum on Coinbase before and now they will start to see the huge exponential increases themselves. I really think this year we will finish this next year above 2.5k and the whole crypto space itself is going to boom!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just saw this Etherdelta news, how you guys think?? RIP?? on: January 05, 2018, 08:10:11 AM
I've read elsewhere that the owners sold to somebody else and they are changing up a few things. Luckily I only used the exchange a few times to pick up some of the more obscure coins but hardly any that I could not have gotten somewhere else. I was not a big fan of the layout so I will just let this exchange fade away.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Exchange without verification on: January 05, 2018, 12:09:20 AM
If you are willing to trade just crypto vs crypto then many exchanges don't require verification. Your ID check is a must if you want to exit to fiat

This.

Most exchanges only require a email for most to be able to deposit crypto and than trade crypto to crypto. They will make you send a ID and a photo usually when you are requesting payouts over 1-2 btc per 24 hours. Although note of advice if you are going to be only having a email for a exchange I would definitely have 2factor auth for your accounts. That way it is pretty much impossible for your account to get hacked.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: December 29, 2017, 07:36:33 AM
I think it all really depends on what you are looking for.

If you want to really gamble and do a super high risk high reward option you can start a majority of your investing money into bitcoin and other crypto currencies, like the above user said you can either just hold and go for a price increase or trade since the market has so many swings and try to grow your stack.

If you are looking for a passive income source you could look into real estate and trying to get different properties by saving and investing in them and keep repeating the process. You can build a really good nest and accumulation through stocks and investing in solid long term companies, compounding interest is your best friend here. In the end it all depends on what your investment goals are and how investing a majority of your money in one of these investment streams can help you get to your goal.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: December 28, 2017, 10:54:35 PM
I find it really doubtful that we ever dip below 8k anymore. Honestly I don't see us breaking 10k much if at all from now on to be honest. I feel it's now more and more people and they are not being warded off by the price decreases, they are still coming in handfulls of money just looking at how to get involved. Once the new year passes I think we will start to get back on a steady upward trend. Take my advice with a grain of salt though, it's your money.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: 2017 Was Bitcoin's Year. 2018 Will Be ....... on: December 27, 2017, 09:07:33 PM
I agree with what Stingers said above. 2018 will be a a massive year for blockchain technology. So many new products are going to be coming out of the woodwork and have working applications. Just having these different alt tokens being integrated into the working products and showing the general population that these different alt tokens have value is going to be huge. Once the average investor starts bringing some money into these new blockchain apps is what I predict will happen in 2018.
