This is an awsome project. I need more explanation though

Tezos is positioned as a network protocol for secure and time-tested smart contracts systems. The platform focuses on such fundamental aspects as transparency, security and management by consensus.

It is an interesting project, will like to know more about it.

You can get more information here - https://medium.com/tezos
There are a lot of interesting and helpful articles

I really respect the fact that the project is being revived and focuses its attention on the development of new technologies. If the team continues to try, Tezos will succeed.

Is there a bounty program?

I`ve only heard about tken sale which ended 14 JULY 2017 and the airdrop I mentioned before. The total of $228,185,796 were received there. But i haven`t read there were any bounty campaign.

As far as I know, there already were an airdrop from August 17 to August 24. Participants had to follow project`s twitter and download the wallet. Airdrop members were able to share 5000 Tezos, each getting a random amount.

Interesting info) I missed this airdrop.
Did you take part?

No, I just searched for information in order to answer the nqtuot`s question

What is an Airdrop program of Tezos? :-)

As I know there is no airdrop at the moment
Moreover airdrops are usually made for new projects and Tezos is already established one)

What rates? BTC/XTZ =?

Hello! You can always check the current price for this trading pair here - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tezos/

At the moment, the ratio is 0,00010236 BTC / 1 XTZ

Tezos (XTZ)
$0,396314 USD (-8,82%)
0,00010236 BTC (-5,87%)

This is a promising price for a young project, given the overall decreasing market situation.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Attic.Pool Tezos - GROW YOUR TEZOS HOLDINGS WITH ATTIC.POOL! on: December 05, 2018, 08:03:03 AM
Unfortunately, this project gives a very low percentage. If I am not mistaken, this is 5% per annum ... This is not enough, even when compared with the ordinary world.

You might be right, but probably you will be wrong
As we don't know how high cryptocurrencies in general and Tezos particularly might grow
It can be hundreds percents, and Attic.Pool gives opportunity to monetize your Tezos

Yes, now the market situation isn`t very favorable, so it`s difficult to predict whether the coin will grow, and if so, by how much. But I`m sure that all projects that have potential and a strong team will only increase their price after the market recovers.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 29, 2018, 11:26:35 AM

We do not have enough merit sources what can we do to get more? there are a lot of good posts that did not receive the merit that deserved

I think it’s best to be a bit more specific on where we find there to be a lack of merit sources or merit distribution on the whole.

I think that the problem of the deficit of merit distribution on the whole is much more complex and volume than the question of the lack of merit sources. Еventually, merit can be awarded not only by sources, but also by all those users who received merits themselves. I agree that there aren`t enough sources. But even if we add more merit sources, the problem still won`t be finally solved. After all, its other side is that participants rarely send merit to each other.

Despite the fact that users have repeatedly assured that there`s no point in holding smerit, the majority continues to do so (perhaps they`re waiting for the right moment when this smerit can be profitably sold). This is confirmed by a large number of high-quality and informative posts, which at the same time remain "unheeded". I admit the possibility that such comments might not to be noticed by sources (they cannot read everything that is written on the forum), but they definately couldn`t not to be observed by other users. However, the latter, for one reason or another, decided not to reward them.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] Horizen: Bringing Privacy To Life [EX ZenCash] on: November 26, 2018, 02:00:17 PM
This topic is almost dead, only MedaR is posting here and there in the last month.

Horizen performance last few months was not good, to say the least, even consider the major crash of all cryptocurrencies.
Horizen is almost out of cryptocurrency top 100, today is at 98 position at Coinmarketcap and running down...   Sad Lost about 30 positions in the last three months)!!! I do not "entirely" get it......

What worries me most is that team will be running out of money, and left the project... because this project has a large team o pay and less treasure everyday.
Seems the work of team has no added value.

With the loss of value of all coins, FIAT comparison, Is there any treasure left to continue to promote this project?

regards

The cryptocurrency market as a whole is going through hard times. However, it`s still too early to panic and talk about the Horizen project’s collapse, in my opinion. A lot of large investors don`t lose hope, but on the contrary, refuel their investment wallets with promising, in their opinion, coins. For example, CEO Digital Currency Group and early Bitcoin investor Barry Silbert (https://twitter.com/barrysilbert/status/1066806097753899009) didn`t miss the opportunity to buy several cryptocurrencies in the falling market. He replenished his portfolio of Ethereum Classic, Zcash, Decentraland and Horizen. This indicates that the Horizen project has prospects, large players believe in its success. Of course, it couldn`t hold its position against the background of the total market fall, but this doesn`t mean that it `s ready to disappear from the face of the earth.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: November 26, 2018, 08:03:48 AM
Is there any point in seeing who is banned?

Can be useful, like if a bounty manager is banned temporarily (it seems happens often) it could save time for hundreds of people.

And not only this. Such information, if it`s public, performs two functions. First, it reports those users who have become anti-examples, in order to demonstrate what happens to those who break the rules. It`s enough to punish a couple of participants in order to intimidate everyone else (this method has been effective since the Middle Ages). Members of the forum see what the consequences of destructive, spam-shit-posting behavior are fraught with, they don`t want to be in the place of the ones who were banned. Therefore, they make causal conclusions: in order not to be banned, I need to improve the quality of my posts, I cannot spam and write nonsense.

Secondly, the openness of such information would help to understand the main reasons for the ban. As it shows a huge number of topics created in the Meta board devoted to the questions "Why was my account banned?", "What did I do wrong?" and the like, it can be concluded that most of the participants aren`t aware of the prerequisites for the ban (they are not familiar with the forum regulations, so they cannot come to the conclusion which of these rules they violated). A public list of banned users would lift the veil on the reasons for removing participants from their activities on the forum.
12  Other / Meta / Re: The beginner and help section is losing great contributors on: November 26, 2018, 07:43:31 AM

There are various notable member of the forum that has put the section on ignore for reason best known to them well it's a personal decision and I must respect that but I appeal that there be a consideration and rather than placing the whole section on ignore let the individual that contribute to spamming be placed on ignore rather than the section it self.

I understand why some forum members do this. On the bitcointalk spam hotbeds were formed, where almost all posts are of poor quality and non-constructive. B&H is one of these sections. Most newbies come here for easy money, they aren`t really interested in crypto questions and details, they just want to hear from the enlightened higher rank members how to make a profit on bounty campaigns. Such questions are often asked precisely in this thread, so many participants put on ignore the entire B&H board, since the amount of spam exceeds the quality of a few decent posts. I think they are guided by the rule that if a newbie writes really good comments, then in any case he will be noticed - just not in B&H thread.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 25, 2018, 09:40:28 AM

I think that it is meant to discourage shitposting, rather than encouraging good posts, even though they seem to be two ends of the same coin...

I don`t think that the merit-system somehow discourages and blocks the way to shitposting. Rather, it`s a kind of an obstacle to getting money for spam (although this is a hurdle in the form of one merit, unfortunately, you can easily get around). After all, the merit system doesn`t prohibit writing bad posts. Even if you remain a newbie, you can still spam and write low-quality comments. But you cannot wear a signature and participate in bounty campaigns. Therefore, the merit-system reduces the chances of earning money and the scale of these incomes, but not the opportunity to write shitposts.

That`s why I`m more inclined to think that merits encourage the writing of better comments. At the very least, they become a way to rise in rank (what most forum participants want). What are the motives of the members, who strive to earn merit, is another question. But at least they try to write more constructive posts.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 23, 2018, 09:47:23 AM
Most easiest way to get any amount of merit is local section

It depends on what local boards we are talking about. In some local sections, especially in those where there are local merit sources, it`s quite possible to get merit. But even there it`s given only for high-quality posts. Nobody will give you a merit just because you are countrymen or speak the same language.

At the same time, there remain many local topics that don`t have separate board, not to mention local merit sources. For example, the Ukrainian section still belongs to the "Other Languages" and doesn`t have its own board, although Ukrainians are quite active at the forum and bring great benefits. We also don`t have any merit sources, so you can only receive merit from other users. Unfortunately, merit sources don`t read this section, so many good posts remain without reward.

I always thought Ivanka was a russian name  Grin

Trump's first wife was Ivana. It's a Czech name. The daughter's real name is also Ivana. "Ivanka" is a diminutive form of "Ivana".

Ivanka isn`t a Czech name. "Ivanka" (Іванка) is a diminutive form of "Ivanna" (Іванна), which is Ukrainian name. This name is widespread in western Ukraine, namely in Galicia (Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk). The name is the feminine form of the masculine name "Ivan" (Іван) and is borrowed through the Church Slavonic mediation from the Greek "Ιωαννα" (Ioanna, Іоанна), which is formed from the masculine name "Ιωαννης" (Ioan ,Іоан). By the way, the Greek version is derived from Hebrew "יוֹחָנָן" (Johanan) - the Hebrew man's name with the meaning "God is merciful". In English we know this name as "John".

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is looking all red once again on: November 22, 2018, 10:45:36 AM
I think this week the cryptocurrency market supports the trend of Black Friday and makes huge discounts on popular coins.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should be done to support newbies? on: November 22, 2018, 10:41:19 AM
I think that already enough has been done to support newcomers. Many higher rank members share their advice, make recommendations and direct newbies. Questions don`t remain unanswered, beginners, who write decent posts, are noticed and rewarded with Merit. But for any activity, efforts are needed from all sides. We can`t make a comfortable environment for newbies based only on our own enthusiasm. There must be desire and diligence coming from newbies, they should want to take and use the knowledge that they are given. Otherwise, our help becomes meaningless.
19  Other / Meta / Re: Best Crypto Forum on: November 21, 2018, 08:17:25 PM
I don`t think it`s right to compare these resources. Moreover, some of them can hardly be called forums. For example, blogs are a special feature of Steemit, while Reddit is more like a social network. It`s possible that these internet platforms exceed bitcointalk by some criteria, but the comparison will be correct for certain similar features, and not for sites in general.
20  Other / Meta / Re: Did someone noticed the new "MORE" menu in the main forum menu? on: November 21, 2018, 08:02:55 PM
This section has appeared a long time ago. This is where you can get information about donations (List of VIP Donators, instructions on how to become a donator etc) and purchase a copper membership.
