New to the pool so I'm not sure why this is happening, but I'm getting a lot of "Bad work" entries... around 170 in 40 minutes and only 42 accepted, while 0 rejected. For experimenting, I have pointed an S3 to this pool with another in balance. The other had 590 accepted in those 40 minutes, while this only 42.
Hmm. I just read somewhere, that with today's numbers, around 2830TH/s is needed to mine 1 BTC/day. This would mean that with 100TH/s, we can mine 1 BTC every 28-29 days. Am I on the right track?
430 accepted and 29 rejected in 26 min... how does that rate?
You need to let your miner build up you always get rejected when connecting to the pool its normal watch it for 24 hrs let the miner do its work with the pool.
I'm new here. I just started to solo mine here today.
If you have any recommendations for me on how to make the most out of it, I'd be grateful.
For now, I only have an old Antminer S3. Does it make any sense?
Is a high number of "Discarded" normal?
Cheers.
I had high rejected on my s3's so I updated the s3 to the kano firmware and the ratio did drop it also sorted out the high load issue too.
You can find the updated s3 firmware for kano update here if you know how to ssh into the device it is very easy to install just copy and paste in the commands.
You will always get some rejected shares even after the update but the load should be lower and it updates the gui with more relevent status.
Hi,
Thanks for the advice.
I updated the firmware... there's less rejected for sure, but the speed has gone way down too... or I don't know what's happening, but the miner seems to stall after a few minutes and the GH/s value drops (currently 1.613).
