1  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Theoretical wait time on BFL 5.0Gh if ordered now? on: May 12, 2013, 11:12:37 AM
Well I purchased one recently, it went something like this:

Had a drink, looked at price seemded bad....

Had another drink looked at price seemed not as bad....

Had too much too drink, woke up next day had bought one and had a bad head!!

I think this is the only way people will buy them now after all of the bad press and lies about delivery time scales!!

I haven't really looked at the OTC stuff, but the bitbargain ratings use this I beleive.

Yes, I have done some CPU mining, now too slow! some GPU mining, now too power hungry and finally some FPGA mining, does give a profit even with UK electricity prices, but not too good against ASIC units.

Yeh, I've just starting looking at bitbargain and done a couple of trades now. Seems to have gone smoothly so far.
UK Bank Transfer has not been blocked yet!!

Has anyone had much experience of trading BTC in the UK?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why such restricted restrictions on Newbies? on: May 11, 2013, 01:00:28 PM
Yes, take your point. There are unfortunately a lot of 'how are you' topics just to get the initial requirements met though. I am a hardware designer, and don't normally post but I am interested in Avalon Chips and need to get to a level when I can PM or POST purchases.

The only downside is that we all have to post some rubbish in order to get numbers to be able to post the good stuff on other topics!
