1  Economy / Goods / For Sale for 1 BTC: Diamond Ring set in Platinum: 2.35 carats tw E-F VS1-2 on: March 15, 2019, 08:22:27 PM
10 high quality Princess cut diamonds set in a sturdy solid platinum band & never worn. Priced well below the original cost when I had it made in 2004. I'm not a jewelry store. This ring was made for someone that exited my life just as the ring was finished.  It's been in my safe going on 15 years. Check out the photos. I will send everything in the photos, including the written appraisal valued at $9300.  If you are in the Cincinnati, OH, or Nashville, TN areas & want to have it appraised again, I'd be happy to meet you at one of the reputable dealers in those towns.  I need to sell it as I have hit a bit of bad luck after losing my eyesight for a few years, then getting scammed by Giga-Watt & need the money to pay bills.  I have another ring, but it's 5 hours away at my mom's house.  It's worth over $1K.  It's a Claddagh ring that I replaced the gold heart in the middle with a diamond heart that is just over a carat.  I had that made for the same lady a few years before I had this one made.  If you are interested in that one, message me.  I can get mom to take some pictures & I'll get it listed.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining multiple coins? on: November 28, 2017, 06:51:17 AM
Thanks for all your replies.  I acknowledge that I made the purchase prior to your indicated amount of necessary research.  I don't think, however, the analogy of a car driving in "D" and "R" at the same time applies.  I think common sense is more in line with a customer asking that if you list a suggested hashrate for 4 different coins and you ask if it's mining all 4 at the same time, that it's more "common sense" to understand the customer is asking if the suggested hashrates are what is being acheived at the same time.  In this scenario, the company CEO talks about being able to make mining available to all people, not just the experts.  I'm not an expert in mining, and I'm also not completely green. I've mined much less with CPUs/GPUs...enough to be dangerous.  I have primarily been using ASICs (currently running 17 & achieving well above average returns).  The responsibility does land on my shoulders, and the consequence certainly has landed directly on my shoulders, but in this case, I don't think the company represented the facts well enough to support the sale.  If they don't refund the purchase & allow me to buy S9s, or some other equipment, then I hope the investment ends up working out ok....but I don't think it was fair.  Lesson learned.  Again, thanks for all the replies.

i asked prior to purchase and they told me it mined all 4 at once.  Now I’m hearing it might not be capable.  It is to be delivered in DEc.  i asked for a refund if it doesnt do what they said

7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: November 23, 2017, 08:05:58 AM
I am working with the Electric Company now to find a location to host machines in the Cincinnati area.  I will be able to get close to 5 cents/KWH if I have a MW worth of machines in the facility (~1000).  The more power we draw, the more the price per kWH goes down.  Let me know if you need equipment hosted and would benefit from the arrangement.  This project is just starting, but with the right demand, I could have it up and running relatively quickly.  I once opened a warehouse for Amazon.com and received 3K pallets of product in the 1st week.  If the demand is there, we can make it happen. I would consider partnering with someone who has great experience on the software side.

Let's hope that they use our addresses when they are "testing".  I'm really concerned as the hashrate was around 30 about a month ago, now it's approaching 150.  I'm very concerned that I will never recover my investment on the equipment I purchased from Giga-Watt.  The decline in profits is completely dwarfing any savings I may ever receive in electricity costs.  Sad
